Perhaps, a bit of understanding the lyrics by the vocalist and dancer will go a long way. It should be 'Sharanau (Grant me my Lord, Asylum)' and not 'Charanu (feet)'. Say, 'Sharanu Sharanu Surendra Sannuta'. Keep in mind for future performances. Not to hurt any one, but for improvement.

It could be interpreted as such that when one submits oneself to the feet of Lord , one comes under the 'Sharanam ' or refuge of Lord.
