You said when that day came Strength is all I had You said when that day would come I’ll know the sound of fear But now you ask for forgiveness You ask for my respect You beat upon me ’til I broke Stripping, taking everything from me Drain me of my power Suck me of my strength Strip me of my will to live My soul you desecrate An’ if it takes me dying To make some history Then on to you my suffering Will ever, forever burn in misery I was born to reign Messiah of pain I had earned the right I’m the demon knight Drain me of my power Suck me of my strength Strip me of my will to live My soul you desecrate An’ if it takes me dying To make some history Then on to you my suffering Will ever, forever burn in misery
@terror737 This was indeed from the TMTC sessions, it came originally as a part of the Digipak release with all the bonus tracks that appeared on The Blackening Special Edition. The other ones were The Possibility of Life's Destruction and Colors.
There is a definite sound quality difference between this version and the Demon Knight version. The Demon Knight version definitely has more compression on the mix. Also, the Demon Knight version lyrics on the bridge just before the solo go "I have earned the right, I'm the Demon Knight". This version clearly has different lyrics for that part. Also, this is not a demo for The Blackening, because that album was released in the late 2000s, whereas the Demon Knight soundtrack was released in 1994.
In Europe, this song is the part of the second CD from the special edition for "The Blackening" , which came with the album, this second Cd and a DVD with live performances and music videos.
@@craigpatrick1 thanks for letting me know, adding it to my reckless driving playlist Edit: cant find it, maybe its blocked in my country, didnt see it on the movie playlist

@megadethice the special digi pack edition from 1997 includes bonus tracks 11. the possibility of life´s destruction 12. my misery 13. colours. you´re right it´s not on the "nomal" cd. now you have it on youtube...
Is that a joke? This didn't even make the album. Check out "Davidian", "Old", "A Thousand Lies", "Ten Ton Hammer", "Take My Scars", "Bulldozer", "Imperium", "Bite the Bullet", and anything off "The Blackening" then tell me this is their only good song!!
Probably one of my favorite songs of all time. My Spotify says it's my most listened to song of the decade
THIS SONG IS FROM DEMON KNIGHT!!! Bringing back the old memories of being 14 years old.
Fuck yea man 🤙
You said when that day came
Strength is all I had
You said when that day would come
I’ll know the sound of fear
But now you ask for forgiveness
You ask for my respect
You beat upon me ’til I broke
Stripping, taking everything from me
Drain me of my power
Suck me of my strength
Strip me of my will to live
My soul you desecrate
An’ if it takes me dying
To make some history
Then on to you my suffering
Will ever, forever burn in misery
I was born to reign
Messiah of pain
I had earned the right
I’m the demon knight
Drain me of my power
Suck me of my strength
Strip me of my will to live
My soul you desecrate
An’ if it takes me dying
To make some history
Then on to you my suffering
Will ever, forever burn in misery
you said when the day came, screams are all I'd hear.
we can always count on awesome guitars in a machine head song..
Also check out Ten Fold (Supercharger era)
such a sick fuckin song. even after all these years.

mediacesspool You are damn right! This was the last song on The More Things Change album.
The other version on TH-cam sounds more like the one from TMTC production sound/sessions then this slightly different version
In Europe, this song is the part of the second CD from the special edition for "The Blackening" , which came with the album, this second Cd and a DVD with live performances and music videos.

i randomly found this casette. my first casette ever. found it again after 27 years later
can't believe they didn't have this as a standard track on TMTC ... Would've been my fave track on the album.
Thank for all machine head 😈 rip

No dude this awesome song was a bonus track to "the more things change..." album along with "colors" and "the possibility of life destruction"
In Europe, this song is the part of the second CD from the special edition for "The Blackening" , which came with the album, this second Cd and a DVD with live performances and music videos.
that was a classic, a blooming masterpiece- such fantastic lyrics, too.... the best revenge song ever. pity the movie was so crap.

@megadethice Because it is originally the cover from DemonKnight. It's not MH authorized song.
Its not a demo, it was on the Demon Night soundtrack
The Demon Knight version is different to this.
This song is my richess !!!!
well after they made the blackening, they re-released it a while later with extra content, this is the cover to the re-release
I didn't know this was a demo version.

Yeah this is a great song. Would definitely be one of the best if it was on the more things change.
Nice!!

wtc I bought the bonus version on itunes and this track wasn't there!
right off the bat you can hear why it didn't make it. it sounds nothing like the other songs on the album
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH you rock!! xDD
Robert sounds like the Godsmack singer Sully Erna on this song.
it´s a single about TMFC or special edition friend?
Best
this reminds me of only by anthrax
I am an envisionary
...t...jc...
& I own a tale's from the crypt style
s&m kingdom a heaven and a hell
Godsmack sound! Hmmm! Voodoo!
Who did it first?
Speaking of psychiatric drugs get my drift
@bigdaddydudely2002

@mafiosi12DE2
sorry, the best part: 0:00 - 4:39
@mafiosi12DE2 yeah, i hate the last second too.
Is this song in D standard with the E string dropped to C?
I like it cause it doesn't have the rap bullshit.
ive never seen this cover of the blackening
where is it from?
The special edition.
This is the Demon Knight version.
The one off ...TMTC is different
first few seconds remind me of Godsmack 8-) hmm

its a cover... not a non realised track
This one’s not
The only good Machine Head song...
