    saw a vid of a gen 1 Bronco w/Godzilla swap using the 10 speed. I think the 10 speed might be a better driver but who doesn't like a stick. Sweet build, I really miss my 78 and have a soft spot for them

    That’s a very nice bronco. I’ve got a white 1994 sport that runs exceptionally well. 5.8,flow tech headers and a bunch of other stuff the previous owners must have done because at 200k miles it just runs strong. Everything on the exterior and engine stuff is done. Next is to install the new seals for the top and the new carpet,just waiting for a few dry days.

    Very nice! I am sitting on an OBS Bronco that is ready for a stage 3 resto. I may have to hit you guys up! I'd like the 10R80 mated to the Godzilla and an Atlas 4 instead of a manual (I have an FJ40 for banging through the gears).

    How did you like the fitment of the OBR engine harness?
    Would you change anything about it if you could?
    Looks amazing what an awesome build!

    • @WellSortedAutomotive
      @WellSortedAutomotive  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We would like a longer cable so we can locate the OBDII port behind the dash when the ECU is underhood. We also would be interested in a shorter harness for those installations where we do keep the ECU underhood and don't need so much cord length. We can send some thoughts to Ole directly for a couple harness options like this...

    • @Hoppysjunkyardrally
      @Hoppysjunkyardrally ปีที่แล้ว

      @WellSortedAutomotive ok. i will be sure to bring that up as well. I do see most customers mount the ecu under the hood. It definitely makes sense to have a long OBD2 port. But going through Ole is definitely the best way he has final say on anything we produce. I truly appreciate your feedback, and i hope the systems performs to your and customer's standards.

    What kind of MPG are we looking at with this combo? I figure the Bronco is lighter than the Superduty so that should help out some. Considering this swap or a Coyote. Just need something more than the 10-11mpg I'm getting in my OBS Bronco and 302.

    What about the wire harness and ECU? I imagine the original gear not being compatible.

    • @WellSortedAutomotive
      @WellSortedAutomotive  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This truck had a whole new wire harness from American Autowire and we used the OBR engine controller to run the Godzilla. You can integrate the OBR control harness to the original truck wiring if desired, it doesn't really need much beyond +12V constant, ignition, and a few outputs for fuel and fans.

    Do you mind sharing details on the clutch setup? Did it require anything custom to mate the manual to the 7.3? I am interested in going the manual trans route for my swap, but would be using a zf6 from a gas Super Duty.
    Amazing build and thanks so much for sharing!

      It's basically all the same parts as a Coyote. The Godzilla has the same bolt pattern for the flywheel so it's interchangeable.

    o_O and this is a recent video, Is hard to find people working on old broncos. n_n If I ever kill my 351w with only 89k miles from 1990 I know with what will I replace it. I just wonder if that engine doesn't have too much torque for the original frame.

  • @brandonrobishaw7606
    @brandonrobishaw7606 ปีที่แล้ว

    The biggest problem with this generation in my opinion is the steering column itself.
    Not particularly good bearings particularly the bottom most collar a weak plastic piece fails to keep it centered.

    what brand module you use for a fuel tank? If you don’t mind me asking.

    • @dougdelong6161
      @dougdelong6161 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      In this build we modified a stock tank to add a regular Walbro pump. Since then we've designed our own stainless replacement tank that incorporates a modern EFI fuel pump module (the tanks are for sale on our web site).

    Why mechanical fan over electric?

    • @dougdelong6161
      @dougdelong6161 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mechanical fans flow a lot more air than electrics. This customer lives in Arizona so cooling capacity at low speed is critical.
