  • During the college football game between Florida State and LSU, LSU's Ali Gaye was ejected for a targeting after a brutal hit on Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis. He clearly ran into him with his helmet and it didn't take long for the refs to determine he was disqualified. The penalty didn't have too much significance however since Florida State scored a touchdown on the play anyways. Florida State went on to defeat LSU in a thriller 24-23.

LSU fan here---obvious call, dirty play, hope it was not intentional to the point where he was trying to put the QB out---I will say that he sure "got his moneys worth"--but uncalled for shot.
Worst call of the night--FSU calling timeout with 1 sec on clock and LSU no TOs---gave us (LSU) time to get the play off without anxiety of worrying about the ref placing ball down and blowing whistle, etc---and LSU scored. Very bad call by FSU coach although I loved it.
