Hey Steph kitchen👋🏾, i wanna thank you for this tutorial. It’s the bomb! It really improved the taste of my burning fish from a 6 to a solid 10 out of 10 fr🫶🏽
I've tried to cook it one time but it wasn't that good. Maybe because I didn't put cumin nor curry powder. I had it once from a Cameroonian lady and I swear, it was Heaven on Earth. Thanks for the recipe, it looks delicious!
Hello Steph, Thanks for your detailed recipe. I visited Cameroon from Kenya and fell in love with the grilled fish. Please advise on how / where I could access the njangsa (does it have an English name).
Hi Daniel, you’re so welcome. Another name for it is Akpi, you can get it at any African store, also some people sell it online, probably try typing on google to see if any sellers come up.
Hi Steph, great video. A little confused though. Is this the sauce that is now used to grill the fish or its used as a dip? What's the difference with the green sauce?
Hi Pido! Thank you so much for watching! This is the sauce used as a dip, this sauce is spicy. The green sauce is what is used to grill the fish, it’s more like a rub. But this sauce is once the fish is ready to be eaten then you put it on the side like I did with the fish in this video. If you don’t eat pepper you can also use the green sauce as a dip, but you’ll have to cook it first cause some people use it without first cooking since it’s a rub and will be cooked on the fish. I hope i helped.
I thought cumin seed is what is called "dirty for rice" in 🇨🇲 . I'm sure the pepper sauce is a banger. I used like 90% of the ingredients u used. I dont like too much green condiments in my pepper sauce. I'll only use half the quantity of the green spices you used, and swap parsley with a little fresh thyme. Thanks for sharing.
Lol maybe it’s cumin, but anise seeds smells like the dirty for rice I used in Cameroon. Lol I think I’m obsessed with green condiments especially celery, because I use it in everything I can use it in lol. But the bell peppers here was optional cause I didn’t have a use for it. Thyme would definitely be an amazing substitute for parsley. Thank you so much for watching!

Thank you!
Does this sauce work for saltwater and freshwater fish? I'm thinking this sauce could be a new taste paired with trout or pike
Yes, it would work for all kinds of fish. Lol I haven’t tried it with all fish but I’m sure it would be perfect!
How many teaspoons of Pebe in that sachet? 😊
3 teaspoons, which is about 1 table spoon!
@@stephanieasoh thank you. I’m about to do some justice to that sauce and fish tonight
What is njansa
