1.4 vpd has to be in the parameters of your growth stage ,veg early flower, late flower, or now she learned about ripening in the last 2 to 3 weeks 65° with 40 rh is a vpd of 1.1 to 1.2

I grow multiple strains usually 4 to 6 of a particular strain and 4 to 6 of another strain. They grow in a double 5x5 tents next to eachother and opened up. But they're in a sealed ac d and conditioned room. I am the master of their atmosphere and get excellent flowers. In a stagger of 3 to 4 weeks per strain. Perpetual.

I run 1.8 and 1.9 VPD the whole grow with no issues, just be willing to check on them throughout the day but with them transpiring constantly, they grow monstrously huge for autos.
I wonder if anyone has tested if autos like a higher vpd in general? It's too bad it's impossible to do real side by sides between photos and autos to figure out what they like different
how many grows have you done with it at 1.8 the whole way through?
Me too, autos here, still in veg and just got my Govee for 20 bucks with wifi (reads VPD) and I have been struggling as temperature really hot with 28-30 C in a small 60x60 tent (I am renting for a few months, away from home). Got a humidifier a few days ago and realised I had been well over 2.5 VPD for like 14 days....now with humidifier at full I am more in 1.5-1.9 VPD so it is better but, according to VPD charts, well over the 1/1.2 they recommend in veg...still the chicas are doing fine and all seems good. I have to admit they seem a lot better with latest VPD readings but as I said it is way over for veg...We'll see. Just ordered the AC inf. T3 humidifier so I can set trigger for perfect VPD, should receive it in about 10 days from US.
I did 6 runs without a humidifier. They all faded in week 5 and 6. and seemed to grow slow. Now with VPD and lights blasting I am stll green in week 6 with big donks of 24 k gold.

Some days ago I was able to put "my" plant outside. First plant since 24 years waiting, first outdoor ever. I was soooo happy when I discovered a random bug on it. Because the bug was chin-checked by an ant. No idea why everybug and their mom is on my second floor balcony in the city...but my living soil is indeed alive. "My" plant just wants to be free, without PH, EC or VPD :)

I live in Hawaii and run my lights at night and I'm also on the hunt for that vpd in chasing. A/c in my lung room and a good dehumidifier. I've got two tents in my lung room and a clone chamber going too. The heat just started going up and so will the electric bill with the room a/c and dehumidifier. July will make me run a/c for 24/7. Three cultivars going for a good variety of smoke.

Not in Santa Barbara! It gets humid AF here! Its chingerd me once in the past!
Facts! I use to live in SB, grew up there, the humidity has gotten to many of big nugs! 😆 once you get down to ventura though, you get the Santa Ana winds and it will drop your RH to 0%. That shit created crazy swings in temp RH. In sb if you can get to spot over the first hills, up by painted cave, we had way better growth than when I lived in hope. Solvang has great weather to grow in!

For me,, in a basement lung room, I run a lot of dehumidifier. And I can’t keep up that low humidity, at night lights off, it just jumps no matter what I do. 60 degree nights, 70 degree days, week 7 of 9 flowering looks good even with night time spiking humidity to mid -to high 50’s. But it worries me, lots of air movement will hopefully be enough. Ps my lung room runs at 30-45 at night but the tent is always high no matter how much air i blast thru? Frustrating!

This is a generalization, since I've no idea of your methodology. No higher than 80. Discontinue micro-nutes 3weeks before harvest. 50% Bloom 2 weeks out. Then fresh, un-ph'd waterto the end...👊🏼💚👊🏼

I finally paid more attention to VPD this round and was amazed how fast the plant grew & how thick the main stock was. Was basically in the green zone on the VPD chart. This time I used distilled water instead of the tap water in my ac infinity humidifier

What are temps when running co2? You stating 82-82° and 65%RH.
Are those temps still valid for a non co2 grow?
many used to say slightly cooler for no co2, but I have not done indoor in 10yrs. I used to shoot for 77-78F. No one ever talked about VPD back then but the 50-55%RH I used to shoot for looked near ideal on the chart shown on this video. We ran HPS back then tho, not sure if that makes a difference. Others likely know better than me

Hey man maybe u can help I run x2 600w hid to flower there hung over 8 plants in 3gal fabric pots and I’m on bio bizz all mix soil with the full range of bio bizz organic nutes in use, I grow In a spare room it’s just wk 3 o flower niw and everything is flying along 50% rh and 26oC it sits at naturaly. So great for vegging but as I flower now I’m away to purchase a mobile a/c unit plus dehumidifier do u think I need this ?I think so but what do you think looking for answers before I spend the £££ ?please help👍

I actualy have a vpd os 1.3/1.1 in ma grow tente but the leaf of the plant said to me that the environment is too humid .. why ? The rh is about 60% and i am in week 4 of vegg !??
Once you understand VPD, everything gets MUCH easier if more expensive because of humidifiers and dehumidifiers along with air conditioners. Nah, It’s not that much for a typical indoor home grow. DEFINITELY worth shelling out a few hundred for decent environmental control.

Get a 60x magnifier and check the trichimes
Longer is stronger, along with denser with more terpenes and goodness. Personally I wait until ~20% of the trichomes show amber with very few, if any, clear since it works better for pain management.
I bought a dehumidifier because it's humid only during the summer months where I'm at but the dehumidifier creates to much heat and cancels out my air conditioner . What's a good dehumidifier that doesn't put out heat into the grow space?
pretty sure they all kick out heat, smaller the unit the less heat

I live in HUD housing in Portland, Oregon. My rental agreement states “The use, possession, manufacture, or distribution of illegal substances, as defined in either federal or state law either on or in vicinity of the property is strictly prohibited.” So, I can have a freaking arsenal of guns and ammo but if I so much as walk through the door with a joint in my pocket, I can be evicted. IN OREGON.

Sorry but I disagree, you don't need a "good tent" infact in my 20 yrs indoor hobbying I find tents actually bring problems , problems I don't get when i just drop black&white plastic around them , nothing at all special 🌱 & i get Fantastic results & zero issues with bud rot / humidity 🌱 zero controllers etc etc , a decent light, a oscillating tower fan .. That's my equipment 🌱👌👍👍 Then yes during mid-late flower I'll stick a dehumidifier somewhere near them set to 50% & keep temps low towards the end helps preserve the terps & that can = far less smells 🌱👃
The whole light leak thing is a fallacy. The moon is quite a light leak for plants outdoors. You don't want to carelessly expose plants to bright light from outside the tent during lights off either; it could disrupt the light cycle the the plants are acclimated to.
The moonlight is a different frequency than sunlight, it doesnt affect plants
I think it is too I grow inside my living room and I don't shut my tents I leave the top open and I've been doing it for longer than I can count I was tripping out when I first saw about light leaks I was like this is stupid I mean you don't want your grow light on but your fluorescent from your living room isn't going to do s*** in my opinion

@redrustyhill2 you mean spectrum. Of course, the frequency is different, too. But what plants interact with is the spectrum of light, technically/physically/biologically speaking. And I would claim, like you, that plants generally "understand" the darkness of the night, even with full moon.
@413TomaccoRoad fluorescent lights won't affect plants, which is why they aren't used for growing, its not light which plants can utilize. Same for the moon, zero effect on plants
