There were 2 Gens right at the pier on swamp (right next to an exit too), so I 99ed both gens, finished them quickly, got Adrenaline and sprinted towards hatch because I figured that Huntress would go to the exit. I got out.
Marth is one of the all time greats, his video where he goes against some toxic survivors as wraith, and then meets them in the next match with Nurse and absolutely DESTROYS them is one of the greatest DBD videos I've ever seen. This video: th-cam.com/video/hbWENAvVuM0/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Marth

Thanks for the final clip. I was trying to find Mars’ video just yesterday but couldn’t find it haha. Otz to the rescue as usual. I KNEW the final mad lad clip would be him haha
Once I played against a hag, and me and the randoms did all the 5 gens easily, with no deaths. Unfortunately, she had NOED, and hooked three survivors in the basement that was under the shack, and kept camping them. I decided to play stealth, but then I saw a totem next to the shack. It could only be NOED, so I cleansed it, and went to the save. I took a hit to go to the basement, saved one survivor, got downed and the survivor i saved unhooked the other one (at that point, one of the three killed himself at the hook). The hag tried to tunnel the recently unhooked meg, but she had BT and decisive strike, so the Hag gave up on her and went to get me, but i was with 99'd unbreakable and used it in her face, so she tried to hit me, i used dead hard and we went to the Shack pallet. I stunned and blinded her, went away and hid. One of the survivors was with a key, and probably was in a call with the another alive survivors, so they escaped through the hatch in the middle of a chase with hag, and with all that time I opened the exit gate and escaped.
Kinda late to the video, but my favorite match I had ever played was back before killer could kick generators or close hatch on Thompson House. There were 3 generators left before gates were powered and I was facing a trapper 1v1. I spent over an hour slowly creeping around the map, pinballing off the gens and crouching around trees just out of sight, eventually managing to get all gens done, so I watched him in the distance trapping the house where hatch spawned. I approached after it was fully trapped and wound up in one but he came from the wrong side and accidentally stepped in his own trap, so it came down to whoever got out first and I got out just in time to take hatch. The ending was sloppier than it had to be, but the entire match was so tense and a thrill to win.
20 minutes was nothing, either killer queue was 20+ minutes, or survivor queue was 20+ minutes. Winning a hatch standoff was quite rare. My shortest hatch standoff(if I wanted the hatch standoff, otherwise I just did the remaining gens), was about 6 minutes. The longest was about 1 hour and 20 minutes as survivor, not sure if I lost or won that one. Depends on what I was watching back then. I do remember winning a hatch standoff while watching lord of the rings as Saruman and Gandalf were verbally casting spells on top of the mountains. But im not sure how long that takes in the movie.
@@GogiRegion still better than the first iteration of BNP and Ebony Mori tho. At least hatch standoffs allowed you to play the game for more than 2 minutes

For me, it is worth mentioning that one of the biggest madlad DBD players of all time would be Puppers. The man continued to stream and play DBD even if his condition worsens. My man deserves all love, respect and recognition. On another note, I don't know if this will considered to be madlad, but when Monto played blindfolded, and went up against a killer with pre-reworked Ruin. He actually got to hit 2 skill checks while blindfolded.
My Idea for part 2: Also in the BOTB tournament there was this one guy called otzdarva, maybe soemone here knows him. He played non meta Killers and did pretty well even tho no one believed he could get it with killers like wraith (which was not buffed at this time) or Plague.
To be fair, even if both of those were pre-buff, they’ve still been super underrated this whole time. Still super impressive when going against that tier of survivors, though.
I once had a pretty similar situation situation to the scott zubat game where the killer also failed to keep me and another downed survivor from crawling out. The fact that he spent the first half of the game facecamping one of our mates made this incredibly satisfying
Hopefully, this is will turn into a long-running series. I love to watch how others have fun in dbd. I also got a clip or two I have buried somewhere that I'd like to show Otz.

Longest standoff I ever saw was when Bahroo still streamed DBD and committed to catching this survivor on an infinite for nearly 3 hours I believe it was.
Man, I forget how dumb this game could have been back then. People who say the game hasn’t improved in years definitely don’t know what they’re talking about.
do you mean the infinite on Ironworks, MacMillan? if so, he wasn't trying to catch him. he actually wanted the survivor to leave lol. like at one point Bahroo just alt-tabbed and played another game for half an hour or so or did other stuff. the survivor was streamsniping and just wouldn't leave. BUT there was a happy ending. bahroo was able to get him out of the infinite eventually and caught him as he was trying to jump down the hatch. truly one of the best moments in DBD history!
I think admiral bahroos misery window standoff (from when true infinites existed with no entity blocker) that lasted hours but ended in him managing to down the guy stalling the game when he tried to go for the hatch is a classic mad lad moment

There were 2 Gens right at the pier on swamp (right next to an exit too), so I 99ed both gens, finished them quickly, got Adrenaline and sprinted towards hatch because I figured that Huntress would go to the exit. I got out.
These were great, Otz! Let's see more!! Thoroughly fun to watch. Marth's outplay at the end was platinum!
i remember watching zubats stream live when this game happened. Everyone was laughing so much. it was epic
Did he upload it? Link?

Love historic DBD moments, thankfully it's mostly recorded on twitch or youtube or what have you. Keep 'em coming, Otz
This video was super cool! I'd love to see some more videos like this one

My respect for the tournament player. Moonwalk into stun the most dangerous killer on the highest tournament with maximal risks. This Jake has earned a place of honor in the terracotta army and even neighbors from Valhalla respectfully raise cups in his honor.
The streamsniper: Now is my chance.
Marth: How about no.
Don’t even need to watch number one was inner strength self care Nancy
I have some bad news
Lol
I saw a Nancy using selfcare and no inner strength the other day. My jaw was on the floor.
Thanks for the final clip. I was trying to find Mars’ video just yesterday but couldn’t find it haha. Otz to the rescue as usual. I KNEW the final mad lad clip would be him haha
That controller hatch grab actually made me laugh out loud. Get wrekt stream sniper, indeed.
I’d like to nominate as an honourable mention the legendary Reverse Chainsaw Into Quentin Hiding In A Corner. *YOU* are the true Mad Lad.
Well done!
That last clip gave me life. I think my longest stand off was 20 mins and I lost :(
20 minutes was nothing, either killer queue was 20+ minutes, or survivor queue was 20+ minutes.
@@Predated2 LMAO this comment is gold
Hatch standoffs are one of the dumbest things this game ever had.
@@GogiRegion still better than the first iteration of BNP and Ebony Mori tho. At least hatch standoffs allowed you to play the game for more than 2 minutes
@@Predated2 When I actually agree that something is worse than a mechanic where games could go on for hours of standing still waiting for the other to press the lose button should tell you how dumb the game used to be.
Great video idea! An online acquaintance of mine Count Dankula has a series about IRL Mad Lads, this made me so happy
I was there for Marth's hatch standoff. I wasn't playing and even I popped off lol. Good list, I'm excited to see more!
Otz forgetting the time when he made the “No Escape From Tombstone Myers” video
WimaTV is an absolute LEGEND for getting 500+ escapes without keys. That's INSANE
Holy shit that marth clip really takes me back, still one of my favourite moments i've seen.
My guy did a 800+ games win streak and you put a outdated hatch stand-off in the first place ...
I also got a clip or two I have buried somewhere that I'd like to show Otz.
man, those standoffs were stupid, i remember trying to get adept plague and being first at the hatch against the last survivor.

I personally think the guy running Buckle Up in his build in your recent Streams is an absolute madlad Otz :) But hey its a good list and I loved watching it, thanks for another great video^^
I do respect the Hell out of Otz as a content creator. In one go he managed to secure a never ending stream of future content creation ideas and the means to view and commentate on some of the best plays ever recorded. Props my guy. Keep up the outstanding work. 👏
last dude so used to doing mindgames in chase he mindgamed the claudette irl

Bro this series could get you millions of views NO CAP. I had a blast with the last one for real.
The second you mentioned hatch standoffs I knew it would be Marth. Truly the best
I think admiral bahroos misery window standoff (from when true infinites existed with no entity blocker) that lasted hours but ended in him managing to down the guy stalling the game when he tried to go for the hatch is a classic mad lad moment
5:35 that is a perfect example of how timing is just fucking crazy in this game
Holy crap that last one really took me back to when I was first starting to play. I remember seeing Marth and his crew playing all the time, ages ago.
virgin Otz: **posts a long reply**
chad Lionnek: **does the thing**
The 500 survivor escape streak really reminds me of the time when Technoblade and his squad all killed themselves in bedwars due to sheer boredom of their +1000 win streak in bedwars.
1000+ 😟
@@DrSilk-mo8cw technoblade ended his own win streak, but one of his teammates who was helping him had also racked up a lot wins and then began his own win streak that overtook technos. Techno was still part of the squad that was helping his win streak, and they did eventually all kill themselves out of boredom after winning too many games in a row.
Rip to the legend.
otz for destroying every pallet with 1 chainsaw, scott for healing someone on the ground with metal of man
I feel like most of Lilith Omen's insane Blight flicks and 180s are worthy of a mad lad moment lol
Nah
The meme "average trapper game" where by the time the camera does the 360 at load in all the gens are done was so dam funny
That last clip had me smiling like an idiot in front of my screen for a few minutes x)
I'm sad that the David vs Wraith to save Kate in the opening roll wasn't one of the mad lads. The pair of them got out with barely a bee's [whoo-hoo] of time left.
On Stream Snipers: Some people just don't want other people to have any fun.
Thanks for the video Otz.
Id love to see 500 straight escapes even with keys, but w/o help from friends etc. Just riding solo. Heck even just 100. That would be amazing. Maybe somebody already have done that. Id like to watch it.
There are also soloqueue escape streaks too, yeah
soloqueue with full perks and items is harder than 4 man swf with no perks or items imo, but i only got to around 30 (perkless swf) and it was before sbmm
I agree. I'm completely unimpressed with a streak that allows you to heavily rely on buddies saving you.
@@AlphaNumericNZ0 eh. All it takes is the killer to tunnel him down and have some level of decent skill. Swfs lose just as much as anyone else if they aren't careful. Only people who seem to really hate them are the ones who never play swf as they have no friends lol.
I'd like to see you get 20 escapes in a row with three buddies.
@@gageowo9527 If the goal of the swf is for one specific person to make it out, then it becomes very easy. Swf vs swf with having that goal are very different types of games.
Seeing an old fashioned Hatch Standoff reminds me of Bahroo getting looped in the Ironworks infinite for 40 minutes in 2016
i can't say i miss those days, but i miss those days

The minute you said Scott and Zubat i knew what legendary example awaited
I feel like I’m entering a new league when otz is mentioning these lads..
I'm glad you mentioned Lionnek's "gen rush" trapper. The man is goated.
My Man Wima, really proud to know him. He is such a great guy aswell
I don't want to hear about these "escapes in a row" until you start comparing apples to apples with your killer streak rules.
would love to see more of these, enjoyed this quite a bit.
That hatch standoff was extra funny, cos I started playing Ennio Morricone's "The trio", and was quite fitting
Demi is a great survivor main and has so many epic comebacks / plays. There’s one where all his friends got slugged / hooked and one had unbreakable and saved the day it was satisfying
That last dude made it sound convincing when he said
"Oops forgot the plate"
Me seeing Zubat at 4th:
YESSS MAN DESERVES ALL THE DBD CLOUT 🔥
I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a DBD clip, that last man was a God
Where are these mad lads in my lobby when I’m playing survivor LMAO
Good old hatch standoffs, almost miss them. 😂 I once read a few chapters of a book during a standoff, keeping a finger on the mouse and just listening for the sound of the killer hitting me. Worked out well.
