I dont know what that man is talking about sitting on the left (viewers right) of Malka,,,, he tries to sound intelligent but doesnt seem to realize you cant make peace without a peace partner!
Is this the reason why you are stealing in daily bases more and more land, killing more an more ppl ? Because you can't find a partner for peace ? It looks like you encouraged and were very keen by doing all what is imaginably possible to make your ' partner for peace' , unable to make peace with you. Playing the victim card , doesn't work anymore.. The world knows exactly who is ( has been) the victim and whose existence is threaten ( since 1948) in this bloody conflict.
Also , not every one in the world is of Jewish faith . Not every one’s believes in Jews returning after 2000 years to land of Israel . But everyone believes in rule of law and justice . If some one takes your land and quote biblical text for justification most international forums and legal bodies will reject that premise . Israel Palestine issue is no different. On biblical religious terms we can’t justify occupation and ethnic cleansing . Most people who live in west have clear knowledge of rule of law .
I wish I could have heard more from Adiel Cohen. His family story is very inspirational. His family had to flee Yemen after living there for centuries due to Arab Muslim persecution to Jews. Almost 1 million Jews became refugees from Arab lands facing persecution or expulsion. These stories need to be heard. Arabs Muslims, as well as view and treat Jews as 4 class citizens. Many Arabs Muslims up until today, have the same views and don’t want a Jewish in any borders. The 2 state solution is a delusion by western society and also by the speaker in the purple short. Jews we are indigenous of the land of an Israel.
@@lindahaftner2148 This is the lie which underpins your land theft. A person who practices Judaism does NOT equate to indigeneity of the Levant. What's done is done and you can't rewind the clock and undo everything. You can't displace all the Jewish population yet again to God knows where. The Palestinian population, on the other hand, is much smaller and seeing as Iran or Yemen like them so much, why then not have these countries take them in?
Natasha H just pointed out, and I just checked, the Arabs were already offered EVERYTHING "from the river to the sea" in 1939. They said no. The 1937 Peel Commission partition and peace plan offered Arabs 70% (plus everything east of the river that's Jordan) and the response was a violent uprising, continuation of the three-year Arab Revolt. British caved, cut Jewish immigration. The White Paper offered the Arabs EVERYTHING "from the river to the Sea" with the loose stipulation that they had to be moderately nice to Jewish citizens (see details), yet with strong restrictions. REJECTED by Arabs, with more violence. These pre-Israel Jews also _did reject_ this White Paper agreement, but why? Their national leader would be Amin Al-Husseini, the junior Hitler, Nazi intelligence officer for the Middle East, who had already exhorted on Muslims to remove the lives of ALL Jews, and historians later discovered he already had plans for Auschwitz 2.0. British thought that was a fair compromise I guess. But that's not ancient history. The Khartoum Resolution - No No No Never - that is still in effect. Has it ever been abrogated? Lifted? Formally denounced?
@@tzipporamilleryes, that's what prompted me to think more about this and post the lengthy write-up above. The whole situation is so sad. But human nature being what it is unfortunately...

So basically you support the exact same thing as HAMAS. The only difference is you demand that Jewish citizens are the ones to reign over everybody living there instead of the Arabs. I mean I appreciate the honesty… just don’t be surprised when the entire world finds your side to be a bunch of suprematist who refuse to compromise and value revenge over peace. Because of this, the rest of the world now believes your side to be in desperate need of humbling, or at the very least need to learn that their lives hold no more value than their Palestinian neighbors lives. How can you ask the Palestinians to accept something you yourself would never accept… and then expect the world to take your point of view seriously.
THE ONLY PEACE PLAN IS TO GIVE ISRAEL THEIR RIGHTFUL GOD GIVEN LAND BACK AS DESCRIBED IN THE BIBLE THE BIBLICAL BOUNDARIES WILL BRING ABOUT PEACE GOD DOES NOT WANT ISRAEL'S LAND TO BE SPLIT OR GIVEN AWAY TO OTHER PEOPLE AMEN 💜🙏💜

Let’s stick to International Law. Uti Posidetis Juris determined Israel’s 1948 borders under the rules of self declaration (as applied to every other country in the world who declared independence). ie. In the absence of any subsequent alternative land agreement, Israel inherited its international borders from the previous administration, The British Mandate.
@AdegbengaOgungbejein the absence of any agreement to the contrary, Israel’s international boundaries are as per customary International Law, “Uti Posidetis Juris”. I’m not even sure that Areas A & B under the Oslo 2 accords are permanent. I thought they were for 5 years, based on peace which certainly hasn’t happened. Therefore, I think the agreement is no more.
Do the people on this panel think that Israel does not have to abide by human rights laws in regards to its killing of 45,000 people, hundreds of aid workers, doctors, and journalists as well as 100,000 injured? On top of that the IDF's refusal to allow aid trucks into Northern Gaza over the last seven weeks? As an American Jew, it is a concern because my tax dollars are being spent on the weaponry that is illegal. US law prohibits aiding human rights abusers. How many more children must starve or not receive medical care before this carnage will end?

Bottom line - If you want true Peace, then you must be accountable and responsible for your actions and behavior to be a partner to make Peace happen! The local Arabs living in Gaza, with their hostile actions for the past 20 years, illustrates that they have no intention of wanting Peace with the Jews! The Jews dont have to feel guilty and be put on the defensive for defending themselves against all kinds of violence aimed at them! Peace, Respect, Trust is a 2 way street in a positive relationship, the local Arabs broke that Trust! Its also important to mention, that Jordan was established to be the place for the local Arabs in a 2 state situation, not a chunk of land taken from the sovereign State of Israel!

I have a stupid question, why not just honor the 1948 partition plan? Was there ever a point where Israel stayed within its borders laid out in the partition plan? What does Israel want more, land or peace?
@60andover-timetotrain-join89 That's my point. If there two parties involved in making a deal and only one group agrees to the terms then its not a deal. If someone moved into your garage and that person says I'll keep the garage and also a half the house and you say wait a minute I don't agree to this, how are you the bad guy?

Your friends start a war and lose and now you want to start over? Can you give an example in world history where this was ever done? Again, didn’t think so. Do me a favor and cry me a river of your sweet tears.
@@sunnysoto1084 I see- can you give an example in world history where this was ever done? Just one. So your friends start a war, lose, and expect a do-over?
@60andover-timetotrain-join89 First off if both side don't accept the terms then it was never a deal. That fact is never addressed. I doubt you will address that either. Now to your point. After that non-deal and the Arabs immediately attacked the new Israelis, and the Isrealis in response immediately took more territory. Which means the Israelis ALSO never honored the partition plans territorial borderlines. If Israel had stuck to the original partition plans borders than maybe you a can make the argument of Israeli self defense. You can masquerade as "self defense" but looks like a clear a case of territorial conquest.
The defence that Israel is a democratic state means nothing when they are perpetrating a genocide in Palestine. What does it mean when Israel illegally occupies Palestinuan territory? What does it mean when your Prime Minister is an accused war criminal? Israel is a state which defends its crimes by denial.
Israel is a democratic state that gets tested time and time again when defending herself from the hostile terrorists that surround her. there is no genocide these numbers are inflated by the hamas ministry which should never be trusted and have been proven to be wrong, Israel is only occupying its own territories, Netanyahu is accused by people who would like to see him locked up, that doesn't mean he's a war criminal ( he who is with out sin etc). Israel is not perfect as no country is and it is not committing war crimes, that's a narrative created by the pro- pally terrorists and their supporters.
Contrast the majority of Israeli's willingness to live peacefully with Islamic Palestinians to Palestinians whom, overwhelmingly, believe that the Israeli's are occupying their land and must be removed. This is what is untenable.
the whole point is that palestinians dont want jews in the middle east, and there are 2 states already jordan the whole east bank, and israel, one more state would be a 3 state solution.in san remo in 1920 it was decided that palestine was to establish a jewish state 114000km 2 of land, and the arab state of jordan was not part of the palestine resolution.
Before the 7th Oct the people on the kibuttzim were very pro Palestinian and thought they could live side by side in peace, well we know how that worked out
What land? They had a right to all of it. The British and the League of Nations approved that land for the Jewish state, after 77% of the land formerly called “Palestine” was given to the Arabs for their state (Jordan, est. 1923). That decision was legally binding, and it was never reversed or nullified. The Arabs in the remainder of the land were offered a partition deal twice, in 1937 and 1947, which would have given them an additional state, and they refused it both times. So when the British Mandate ended they had no claim or right to any of that land.
@@KathyPrendergast-cu5ci You are under the mistaken impression that all the land was "given" to the Israeli government in the partition. That is simply not the case for personally owned real estate. It is unlawful for any entity during wartime to seize personal property, which includes real estate. The land that was owned by Arabs, Christians, Jews before the Partition is still owned by those individuals (or their descendants) after the Partition. Israelis seized the personal property of the Arabs that left and this is the land that needs to be recompensed or given back. No amount of rationalization will negate that fact. The longer the problem lingers, the more expensive it will get.
@@ezekielsaltar4728 Arabs were overwhelming favoured in the allocation of land after WW1, go and see the Kurds who had their lands split between Arab nations. Jews comprised 1.24% of Ottoman Empire, the land they were allocated was 1.15% of that Empire's land. No-one says "boo" aout the partition of India (for religious reasons) in 1947 where millions of people were displaced and 100,000s of people killed. No-one also mentions the millions of Germans who were displaced from their homes after WW2 due to German land being given to Poland. Go and find evidence of Jews forcefully dispossessing "Palestinians" of land before 1948, most of it was purchased. The land that Middle Eastern Jews were dispossessed of for the "sin" of the creation of Israel is quite extensive, with some estimates stating maybe as much as five times larger than Israel today. And if you say the "Palestinians" had absolutely nothing to do with WW2 and the treatment of Jews at the time reflect on the fact the Grand Mufti of Jersusalem (Islamic figurehead) sided with Hitler during the conflict, helped recruit muslims into the Nazi army and sought to expel/eradicate the Jews from the area before the creation of Israel: “Arabs, rise as one man and fight for your sacred rights. Why should Israel not have sovernity the land belongs to the Jews given by God through covenant. That's like saying Polish people should not have sovernity over Poland. Get real.
The Original Two State Solution was giving Jordan to the Arabs and Yasar Arifat took all of it with his Soldiers called Black September, this wasn't Yisrael's fault, this was The Vatican and British Empire's fault for having it happen.
The thing is, before 1947(meaning before the nakbah) what were the Arabs angry about? There was no land “stolen” , makes you think if this was about land, or really about religion🤔
Go and educate your self ! Your question.. shows your lack of knowledge on the real historical facts. Read the Un resolutions ( since 1940 ) and you would understand why the ' Arabs' were angry.
It was about both. The land had all previously been conquered and ruled by Muslims, the Ottoman Empire. In Islam, Muslim-conquered land is considered Muslim land forever. So it was unacceptable for many Muslims for any of that land to revert to non-Muslim rule, and especially to Jews.
The fact that Palestinians would never sit together to discuss sth for real progress says everything about it. It's Hamas' and PA's fault? Maybe. That doesn't change the fact. Period.

The guy in the white pinstriped shirt has it backwards. Israel is not an outpost for the western world. The western world and it's values exist because of Judeo-Christian values which started in the land of Israel. Islam is the colonial values that were imposed but now replaced. Our people have be so indoctrinated by colonial thinking. They still use terms like settler, west bank, and so on. The way forward is to reeducate our people and either convert and or reeducate Muslims with factual sovereign terms and history. Islamic system of beliefs is not a multicultural system. It is naive to think you can coexist with out dominion over the land.

I don't care much about slogans. I care about real everyday life. Yehuda HaKohen in the very beginning gave real life accusations. The thing to do here is to figure out if they are true, in what context they happened, and what was omitted in the telling of his narrative. What in detail were the "young Arab men attacks on the Haredim?" What does it specifically mean, "the young Arab man, during a protest, things got out of control?" How was it "totally mismanaged" by the police? My general experience with people like him is very negative. Basically, they don't tell the truth. But I am generalizing. So specifically, if this is another untruth or half-truth, he should be exposed as a hypocrite. If this is true, the guilty ones should be exposed and punished. Talking about the general sweep of the 3400 years of Jewish history is not relevant here.
The concept of colonialism is doubtless relevant however I would point people to Bradley Thayer’s unambiguous representation of the Chinese Communist Party as a product of western Marxist colonialism vs Taiwan which is also largely the product of… if not colonialism as such, the adoption of many western enlightenment principles that incorporate deep historical traditions of identity

Gay rights and… cherry tomaotes? The patronising, dismissive, reduction of biblical wisdom as ‘poetic… high falutin’. The western progressive perception, which is largely deracinated (see Iain McGilchrist) and easy to manipulate with propaganda. This, again… rightly or wrongly, is where I largely blame the defenders of Israel. Yoram Hazony has presented a detailed map of what should be a, if not the, prominent frame for this whole debate (I mean internationally)… not least where Hazony may have got it wrong… because even where he may be wrong he has delineated the contours and principles of his argument, the case for the political order of independent national states (which concerns all nations) so well, that even for those bad faith actors eager to seize on ‘weak links’ to run with a straw man etc, I contend such bad faith will quickly run up against, and be required to answer to (so long as there are adept ‘umpires’ so to speak, well versed in Hazony’s thesis) the most substantive factors. The advantage is that the bad faith actors will shamelessly diminish ancient wisdom as mere superstition (oppressive patriarchy) ‘high falutin poetry etc etc because they are essentially Marxists; Marx conflated his ideology with science (scientism), in contrast to all competing mere ideologies… opium of the masses etc that’s why Progressives pretend to love science… until it works against them of course. Iain McGilchrist has effectively identified Hegel’s dialectic (in its most profound sense… certainly not the Cartesian dualistic either/or ‘us against them’ sense) as pertains to the individual, opening up the possibility of inward reflection, humility: “Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either-but right through every human heart-and through all human hearts.” Solzhenitsyn McGilchrist has identified, elucidated on this dialectic in the scientific paradigm; that’s very disconcerting for the Progressive worshippers of science, because it shows that the Right Hemisphere mode of being is superior for comprehending truth via Science, Reason, Intuition and Imagination, and yet the overwhelming evidence is that Progressives, and their fellow travellers, are demonstrably overly reliant upon the inferior Left Hemisphere mode of cognition. McGilchrist draws on a vast reservoir of research and experience as a physician, for those inclined to balk at this assertion. Similarly, for those dismissive of ancient Biblical wisdom, Hazony effectively presents it in the scientific paradigm, but openly referencing the biblical antecedents. Here’s a question: with the exception of a fairly radical passage in the writings of St Paul (and even including that), can somebody give some examples of where the Bible, especially the Hebrew Bible, has explicitly uses the concept of ‘equality’? Equality being a fundamental, explicit, tenet of Progressivism.
This discussion is too secular for an issue that is about God in every sense. The Lord gave the land to Jacob and anyone who opposes this is an agent of Satan. It's fake. This is not the Holy Land. It's not the land of Palestine and it's not the land of Israel. Wrong location. The world doesn't understand the truth. There is a lot of confusion in this matter. I can present it in detail and prove where the Holy Land is located. The real location
Fantastic panel! Very balanced, and helped me understand better the bigger picture. That being said, it is unfortunate the government is a problem as Malkah stated, but also and ultimately, religion is the problem. What do I mean? Either God gave the land to the Jews, or someone wrote a book (Torah) claiming that some God gave the land to the Jews. Regardless of which is true or not, the moment you believe a God gave you land ownership rights, you are going to exercise those rights even if you have been in exile for thousands of years, perhaps especially because of this. Now, the non-Jewish people who staid during that time and do not share these religious beliefs, will most likely not see eye-to-eye with the returning Jews using the colonial method to assert this right. What I'm getting at is that this struggle is rooted in religious belief. Let's say the religious belief is unfounded if the religion is false, meaning if there never was a transcendental God, creator of the universe, who gave anything to anyone. If that is the case, then the atheist Zionist position of Theodore Herzl is a contradiction and neither really explainable nor justifiable based on Torah (how can an atheist justify a political movement using a religious text?). Secondly, this would mean the Jews never had a God given right to the land and whoever staid/came after them now owns it according to the principle of finder's keepers. But if a transcendental God exists and actually chose the family of Jacob and gave them the land in perpetuity, then absolutely by all means, we should all strive to make Eretz Israel happen (although I understand there are some objections to this based on what Torah says). In any case, since this is a matter of faith, there is no way of knowing this claim to be true, and therein lies the rub (as with any other religious claims from any religion). So, in the end, the non-religious position should lead to finding a solution more easily than the religious position. Therefore, religious beliefs are the problem because without them, this whole situation would never have arisen in the first place because the land ownership claims could not have been justified otherwise. But just as I wrote these words, it occurred to me that all the above is all swell on a theoretical level. In the real world however, this is complicated by all the bad blood between the two camps and the demographic dynamics that favors the Muslim group more than it favors the Jewish group, which points to the more serious empirical issue of potential survival, long term, of the Jewish population, a minority surrounded by a potentially hostile growing population. So irrespective of religious beliefs or not, the fact of the matter is that now this has truly become a struggle for life or death for the Jewish people. Taking the latter point into consideration, it now stands to reason that Israel needs to create large buffer zones around its current territory, and that it, and it alone, should control. And if you want to minimize risk going forward, you can't have a sizeable Muslim population within that territory that could serve as a 5th column one day hellbent on revenge. So if the Palestinians want their own state, fine, give it to them but elsewhere. For example, if Iran, or Yemen, is so fond of them, then let them set aside a territorial enclave for a Palestinian state. Talk of anything else is just wishful thinking at this point. The Rubicon has been crossed and there is no going back. Knowing human psychology, there will be talk of revenge and terrorism will continue to traumatize both societies. The only realistic option is not to go back in time (for what can you change? What was done was done, good or bad unfortunately, and there is no undo button), but march forward and once and for all settle this conflict so that, the Jews can be left alone in peace to build their country as they see fit, while the Palestinians are relocated elsewhere and they too are left alone to do the same. Because a two state solution, side by side so close to each other, who in their right minds can believe that armed conflict between the two nations will not arise sometime in the future and restart the cycle of violence? Based on past history, I think we can pretty much rest assured it will happen. Here's to hoping for peace eventually. Happy Hanukkah!
@@cosmokramer3107 the only problem here is that conflict is part of the promise of the God given chosen land so it's not possible to have your desire. War will exist forever according to the believers that God gave the Jews the land. Now we have to learn how to deal with it. Considering all you wrote, I feel somewhat lucky to be existing in this time where Israel has the ability to secure itself and protect it's people. I expect more of them!
Well sir in the red shirt, that's to bad for what you want to deem as Palestinians will not accept solutions.

These pre-Israel Jews also _did reject_ this White Paper agreement, but why?

Uti Posidetis Juris determined Israel’s 1948 borders under the rules of self declaration (as applied to every other country in the world who declared independence). ie. In the absence of any subsequent alternative land agreement, Israel inherited its international borders from the previous administration, The British Mandate.
@AdegbengaOgungbejein the absence of any agreement to the contrary, Israel’s international boundaries are as per customary International Law, “Uti Posidetis Juris”. Israelis never talk about the root problem, the land taken in 1948.

The way forward is to reeducate our people and either convert and or reeducate Muslims with factual sovereign terms and history. Islamic system of beliefs is not a multicultural system. It is naive to think you can coexist with out dominion over the land.
They want UNWRA not the IDF. lol!

Does the fella in the red not realise that the Palestinians want all the land and not just a part of it
But there isn’t equal rights to the land. The land was given to the Israelis by the west who held it by right.
" held it by right " ??? What " right' had the ' west' over a land in middle east ?
There are really intelligent kids working here. 😂
23:57 he nailed it
The concept of colonialism is doubtless relevant however I would point people to Bradley Thayer’s unambiguous representation of the Chinese Communist Party as a product of western Marxist colonialism vs Taiwan which is also largely the product of… if not colonialism as such, the adoption of many western enlightenment principles that incorporate deep historical traditions of identity
Israel / peace. These two words can't really go together
😂
As long as they are surrounded by muslims who are evidently the biggest threat to other Muslims apart from being the biggest failure mankind has ever produced what they of course can't admit and therefore need an eternal scapegoat. Go f yourself and tidy up your own 200% inflation shithole of a wannabe country
Muslim and peace shouldn't be used in the same sentence
All the Arabs have to do is accept Israel’s right to exist, and there will be peace.
And it isn’t even all the Arabs; most Christian Arabs, many Bedouin Arabs, and Druze - both those who are Israeli citizens and those who aren’t- have no quarrel with the Jewish state.
Italy is an Italian Country, Portugal is a Portuguese Country , Poland is a Polish Country, Germany a German Country etc etc etc so why is there such a big discussion about a Jewish Country?? Debate debate why?? Why all the fuss about Israel, leave us alone😡

Can anyone tell me why 80% of Ashkenazi jews have zero levantine DNA. Palestinian Muslims have on average 70%, christians over 90%.

You are wrong, Ashkenazi Jews’ DNA traces back to the Levant.

This was very watered down. Very disappointing to watch.

Iain McGilchrist has effectively identified Hegel’s dialectic (in its most profound sense… certainly not the Cartesian dualistic either/or ‘us against them’ sense) as pertains to the individual, opening up the possibility of inward reflection, humility:
“Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states, nor between classes, nor between political parties either-but right through every human heart-and through all human hearts.”
Solzhenitsyn
McGilchrist has identified, elucidated on this dialectic in the scientific paradigm; that’s very disconcerting for the Progressive worshippers of science, because it shows that the Right Hemisphere mode of being is superior for comprehending truth via Science, Reason, Intuition and Imagination, and yet the overwhelming evidence is that Progressives, and their fellow travellers, are demonstrably overly reliant upon the inferior Left Hemisphere mode of cognition.
It's a war between two kingdoms; one of Light and the other of darkness. Take what's yours. The God of Joshua is with you, and while you are at it, destroy all the abominable things in the land (LGBTQ+ and others) including others and Judea and Samaria and Gaza. The land belongs to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!
Nothing intense about this debate it was boring and no arguments and everyone is justifying crimes and all other nonsense. This was so pointless because they all pretty much agree with each other

"Israel" Palestine 🎉
There is no such country called 'palestine' and there never has been a country called 'palestine' in the entire history of the Middle East.
Fakestine.
Such clickbait title. It doesn't get tense at almost any point. But great conversation. It's nice to see there are some Israelis (with the exception of the female panelist) who have reasonable, rational minds and who actually want peace to be achieved and are willing to perhaps be open to different solutions. Unfortunately, I don't think these are common opinions throughout Israehelli society. But one thing is for sure. Israehell is an apartheid state committing genocide right now and needs to be held accountable.
