This is just showing those that are in need of rescuing as do others on our beaches around the UK, try justifying why you pickup, not rescue, the larger boats full of just young males in sea conditions which resemble a mill pond, iv'e been at sea for over 40 years and even exercised with the RNLI and understand the varying conditions, why not show the larger boats containing the jubilant males on a nice calm sunny day with their French escort who have made it to UK waters and are about to get a ride the rest of the way. Same goes for the Border Force, the result of what you're doing now will show in years to come and their kids and the younger generation will pay the price.

I remember a while back someone commented on a video of yours that you should stop rescuing migrants (though they didn't put it quite so politely), mind you the video had nothing to do with migrants at all. I replied that the RNLI doesn't judge who they are rescuing, they don't check passports or anything, that their mission is to save all lives at sea, not just legal residents of the UK but all lives.
And that is what you do. You get word of people in distress on the water so out goes the shout and the nearest lifeboat is launched to render aid to them. You don't question their immigration status, you go. Immigration and the authorities will deal with the immigration issues in accordance with the law, the first job and duty of the brave people of the RNLI is to save lives. It is better that you save people like these and that they have to then deal with Immigration than for them to die at sea.
I honestly cannot understand how anyone can say "don't save them, let them drown". They are, first and foremost, human beings and you have a professional, moral and ethical obligation to do all you can to save them.

@@JohnGrayOnline you may not know who i am but I've got your measure.
You are publicly campaigning against a life saving charity because you don't like the people they are helping. You think that people in distress should be racially profiled before they are offered help. You are someone who values one human life more than another if they happen to have been born on a piece of land you approve of. You would rather people who are different to yiurself be left to die rather than live next to them.
You are obviously a very fearful individual and Farage uses that fear and stokes it up into naked hatred. Once he has that hate oozing from you he can get you to atrack charities in public.
You choose to live your life cowering in fear. You pretend that you're not afraid but rather you're concerned with security from desperate, poor people who have committed, as far as you're concerned, the inexcusable crime of being foreign, sometimes not being white and speaking a language you don't understand.
That's what you've become. I know that i will not persuade you to be any different. You have chosen to be an odious racist at the beck and call of Farage. You actually want to be someone who wants people to drown because they're different from you.
There is something you need to know, however. It may seem that your vile racism is normal and shared by many others because you read TH-cam comments but TH-cam is a cesspit of hatred where racists like you can congregate in an attempt to feel normal. The rest of the country sees you for what you are: a nasty, bigoted, hate fuelled racist who attacks charities for helping all peoole irrespective of their origins. I can't help but wonder how well some of these keyboard warriors would fare if they were to volunteer with the RNLI and see what it's actually like launching in the treacherous conditions they sometimes have to. Not very well, I'd wager! Simply cannot get my head around how some people can say "who cares, let them drown" and think that's ok. The RNLI is there to save lives at sea. Simple as that. It is not there to play politics, and it is certainly not there to make a judgement call on which lives are worth saving, and which lives are not. It's appalling to see the amount of abuse they are getting for simply doing their job. Unfortunately as sad as the situation is we have to think with our heads and not with our hearts. We are a small Island that is struggling to build enough homes and expand infrastructure to cope with our own population growth. If we try and save everyone then we'll be dragged under too. It would be lovely to be able to help these poor people out but we just can't keep doing it or otherwise we will be in a real mess. Other nations know this is how we are and we end up with everybody else's issues and it's not our job to take on their responsibilities. You couldn't keep taking on the homeless into your own home because you'd end up homeless when you're squeezed out. Sad but true unfortunately. It's time we started thinking with our heads and not our hearts or else we'll be the ones in the boats and I bet no one else would rescue us.
Update 14/04/22 Thanks to this we are now unable to take in people for legitimate reasons such as those from Ukraine. Young kids, women and the elderly being blown to bits by the Russians. This is because space and funds are being used up by mostly fit young men trying to come over from other countries that have no serious issues at all. How do you propose we cope with that in the long term? What about the other people that are drowning while these people put themselves at risk by choice? The RNLI is a charity who don't have an endless supply of money. Lorry drivers have been fined for having migrants in their lorries without knowing, imagine how they feel seeing this? How do you intend to financially support these people when our NHS service is on its knees. What about our homeless, some ex military, surely we need to look after them first? They were put on the front line to help combat terrorism . How do you propose to filter out terrorists sneaking in and causing another Manchester or London attack. Will you tell the family members you Supported them all coming over? Are all these people fleeing war zones or just want what we have built up. Why won't they stop in the rest of Europe? That's the problem with short term empathic thinking it often causes even bigger losses like overloading a life raft, rather than saving ten you kill everyone.

@@argonaut6386 a very well constructed and very classic right wing anti-immigrant argument. One that history has proved time and again to be dangerous and self defeating. However, it’s also irrelevant to this video. The RNLI hand them over to border force when they get to the UK. It’s then Border Force’s role to establish if they are legitimate asylum seekers and whether to admit them or not. The RNLI have nothing to do with that decision. As a British charity they have no right to ferry them back to France either, that just isn’t something they can legally do. Therefore the RNLI are faced with a simple choice. To allow them to drown or not. They are making the right decision and they have the capacity to do it whilst still responding to other emergencies. As for the wider situation, that’s for politicians and border force to deal with along with their french counterparts. I hope we can all agree though that the volunteers that save these lives do not deserve the hateful right wing abuse they have often been receiving.

The point is blame the people who allow them far enough into our waters that the RNLI is called upon. Their job is not to decide who to rescue, their job is to respond to coastal distress calls end of. This video had to be made because of the amount of people having a go at them for doing what they were set up to do: RESPOND TO PEOPLE AND LAND ANIMALS IN TROUBLE AT SEA/SHORELINE.
