Celebrating the Buddha's Birthday (Vesak) 2023

Celebration of the Buddha’s Birthday, Vesak, at the Tallahassee Chan Center
On Sunday, May 28th, 3:30 - 5:00pm Eastern, the Tallahassee Chan Center celebrated its 5th Vesak, the day of the Buddha’s birth, awakening, and parinirvana, which is traditionally observed during the month of May. Around 40 people from Tallahassee came to the Center for food, celebration, music, and Dharma talk. Online, we had 10 people join us via Zoom. Vesak is perhaps the most important Buddhist holiday for Buddhists of all traditions, a day that signifies the Buddha’s gift of wisdom and compassion to humanity.
