Same architecture, it's just adapted for the consumer market. They clearly went for efficiency instead of performance like they did with Alder and Raptor

Anything that isn't monolithic Ring Bus for gaming (basically the Core i series) is fundamentally flawed for gaming. Includes the X3D chips because you increase perfomance while spending like 100-200USD more than vainilla X versions, *cache is not cheap* .
