Nicely reviewed the unboxing and the sharing info of your new Shark Helmet Steve. They look great them flip front helmets giving you options for various conditions eh. I have a nearly 4 year old HJC IS-17 in Full Gloss Black and have loved it very much but am super cautious when it comes to thinking about choosing a replacement, for fear of getting it wrong lol (As I said... I do like the practicality of Flip Front Helmets tho so we'll have to see). My Carol has a HJC IS-17 in Black/White with a very distinctive girly pattern to it but she also has just acquired a Full White Shark Helmet which she loves for comfort and the ease of wearing glasses but she cannot do so easily with the HJC. BTW, good to see your little doggie doing well in the background there mate. Nice to see your Good Lady 'Sprocket' on board with 'Morphy Rides Again'

Hiya Mark yes Sprocket really getting into it now still have not kitted her out yet though keep meaning to do. Really suited with the helmet I know what you mean with changing though. I have made several cock ups in the past and lost a few quid changing helmets so usually stick with Arai but I really do like the design of this lid. I sold an old Arai and that has paid for this one. Had a Shark many, many years ago it was a Foggy Shark thats going back some : ). Dogs ok for the moment thank god all well this end shhhhhhhhh! Hope all well your end and trust Carol is well. Morphy

Good choice fella pleased you got sorted. I have drift cameras and have mounts on the side and top of my evoline 3 no probs. Obviously top mount you have to decide if your riding with chin guard down or behind before mounting camera 👍

Hiya Steve yes happy with the new helmet but have I struggled tonight getting the lense cover I got to fit annoying does not cut it. But the helmet itself what a cracking lid. I have another vlog uploading as we speak should be on shortly. It did not finish there though the lense cover was not on far enough on and all four corners were round when I played the video back. I had to take lense cover off again and cut the groove out right down to the glass. Morphy

Looks like this model has taken over from the Evoline 3 Morphy and looks like they have made some very good improvements very nice, I do like the wind guard feature, I have 2 Evoline 2's one has seen better days now and 1 Evoline 3 so I'm a big fan.

Yes Nev it seems a good bit of kit I am impressed need a new cam now to go with it spend spend spend! I am keeping my other camera on my other helmet I need a pare now as it is the fear factor if one cocks up. My other is getting a bit temperamental on turning on and off. Morphy

Nice helmet and a very good detailed unboxing good colour choice looks fantastic. I hope the camera mounts ok. I noticed Ainsworths seemed a little low but it does take abit of trial and error to get them right. I've got the same set up on each helmet so its just a case of moving the camera from helmet to helmet....but thats usually when i cock the sound up lol

Nice unboxing and initial impressions. Really nice versatile helmet, that scored four stars on the sharp safety test rating. Unlike the ls2 breaker i bought recently, only achieving two stars. Will get a flip up in due course, a toss up between hjc is max 2, agv compact st, and the shark one two. Although the shark is at a higher price point. Would like to see an update with pinlock installation and some riding time impressions.

Hiya John just for info I am going to do update tonight probably put it on around Thursday. I already have another video on my channel that is called Sena 10cPro-Pinlock On Shark Evo One 2 shows how the pinlock fits hope that helps. I have now done over 3 months with the helmet and a good few thousand miles so feel I am now able to give an honest true experience of using the helmet opinion. (Morphy) Steve

...did you find that shops were a bit disappointing - so you bought it online ? I went to 8 or 9 shops, but finding XXL in stock to try on was a pain ...so I bought my Arai Chaser X Tough from e-bay ...and the fit and comfort isn't everything I'd hoped it would be .

Thats a proper shame that Steve Arai are usually a good fit and well finished. Although I have to say I think the paint is getting thinner. My nine year old Arai did not have one stone chip or any other mark on it. My latest Arai has several on it now probably only 2/3 year old makes you wonder. I could not find a local Shark dealer that had a Medium to try on nearest one I could find was Ghost Bikes. They told me that if I ordered it they would send it onto me from another warehouse. I thought I can order from another warehouse and cut out the middle man so I ordered online. I have had fun and games tonight though with my new camera getting the lense cover I made to fit GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Morphy

I see you bought medium, What is your actual head size.. are you a 58/59cm? ISTR someone mentioning these helmets are on the large size, so go for a size smaller. Over the last donkeys years Ive had a few helmets from Arai, Shoei, Schuberth, Caberg, etc. My head never changes size yet these helmets are sized from M to XL.! This makes it really difficult buying stuff like this online.

Sorry for the late reply Sprocket the missus just seen your question. I am a medium in all the helmets I get. I have had all the makes as well and agree with you it is a worry buying helmets on line. It is a nice fit in fact I would go as far to say the best medium fitting helmet I have bought for some time. I usually have an aria shaped head but wanted an open front you could ride in with the front legally opened. It also has a sharp safety rating of four stars which is very good for an open/closed face lid. And a 100% crash test where the chin bar did not open in crash conditions I think I am right in saying the only one to do that. The helmet size actual goes from extra small, small and medium being one shell size and large to extra large being the second size shell they only do two shell sizes. This is what attracted me also to this particular helmet because you are getting the largest shell with the best padding any one getting a small helmet has more padding because it is the same size as the medium shell. Where as if you bought the large you are getting the largest shell size with a lot more padding due to the fact it is the same shell size as the xl. The helmet is a cracker and I would buy again not without a couple of niggles. I have rode in this helmet all summer with a few thousand miles now. I going to do a follow up review of this lid shortly. Hope that helps any more questions just ask. please use my latest video though then I will definitely see your question. (Morphy) Steve.

Morphy Ride's Again Thanks for the reply.. I look forward to your updated review. Btw, your reasons for buying are same as why I would like one. I always used full face, been riding with open face for a bit an really like it, but want the option to switch. Shoei Neotec 2 is very good modular but I dont like the big lump left on top of mi’ yed when front is open. I’m just a bit put off by the shark being made of plastic. I’ll wait for your update. Thanks.

Hiya don't be put off by that Thermoplastic has come a hell of a way as said this helmet scores 4 stars in the sharp safety test that is very respective in a modular helmet. I have always gone back to wearing aria and not the ordinary aria, the one I have at the moment is Arai RX-7V DOOHAN TT check out the price of that. But since retiring my money earning days have gone. When I got the Shark one 2 I was that impressed I was going to sell the aria to buy a second Shark evo one 2. But I wore the aria again couple of weeks ago and it is a good lid so at the moment decided to keep it. I wont be long with the updated review on the Shark evo hopefully by the end of this week I will have it up. (Morphy) Steve.

Morphy Ride's Again Thanks Steve, when you do your review I’d also be interested in if/how I could attach things like my Cardo scala rider and Drift Ghost helmet camera due to the way the chin bar flip mechanism works. Vic
