  • When we arrived in Knysna, we went directly to Thesen Island. We walked around and just enjoyed the beauty of the place. We came across some houseboats and we were lucky enough to be allowed on board to see what they looked like inside. I think you would have so much fun on one of those. At Tapas & Oyster Restaurant we enjoyed Strawberry Daiquiris and they were delicious! I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, since I love beer so much. #DustBugs #adventuretravel #southafrica #knysna #tapasbar

That strawberry 🍓 daiquiri looked delicious, I loved the soundtrack when you were showing the lagoon, it is actually incredible what your quick video and commentary re the houseboats has achieved...who wouldn't want to be on one idling along on the Lagoon...what a fabulous outing that will make. Thank-you for sharing your awesome adventures. This channel is real, its edited but not choreographed so what you're thinking and commenting is what we are thinking whilst being visually treated to the sights and sounds.

Thank you for your very kind comment. It's great that you're along for the ride and enjoying our videos. We fully agree that a long, relaxing break on one of those houseboats would be awesome.

I have been on that train bridge being chuffed along by a steam locomotive. In 1999 my parents treated me to a 5 day tour on board the Union Steam LDT. This was a line of vintage locomotives and carriages out of Toeka se Tyd!. Total amazeballs! It was like in the old days, with all the woodwork and beautiful carriages. You started off at Cape Town station, and went through to Porterville, and from there to Robertson and then the Garden Route to Knysna. There we were treated to a harbour trip on board the John Ben. W hich I am sure I saw passing in your video. Then, back to George and over Montagu pass to Oudtshoorn where we visited an Ostrich farm and the Cango wildlife reserve. It is there that I touched a cheetah! From there you returned to Cape Town. The Golden Thread is no longer extant unfortunately. But there are other railway tours available

Wow, your train journey sounds like a spectacular one and definitely forever memories to treasure. 🚂 You did indeed see the John Ben pass on the lagoon in the background of one of our shots. Definitely on our bucket list to take an extended train journey one day, it sounds like great fun and certainly an experience of a lifetime. 👌🏻
