Amazing micro surgery Doc! My wife had two Acers that broke the power/charge jack. Geek quad did not or could not fix it, so they gave her a new one. Good idea to get extended warranty since they break switches and power jacks a lot. BB gave her a Samsung after the second Acer failed. So far, so good, even after a year or so. Don
+umajunkcollector I have an Asus and a Samsung Tab S. This one was my neighbours, the old rock star. he had it given to him, and was pleasantly surprized when I handed it back to him.I agree though, Acer is not a high quality company. I don't know how many Acer laptops I have been through. I currently use a Dell Latitude E6410 that I bought used as a refurbished business lease return. They are built like tanks, much better quality than most cheap consumer units. Nice aluminum cabinet, and I can pull my DVD drive out, and slap in my 1TB HDD for backing up my memory card from my camera on the road, no cables needed to hook up an external drive.
Dell is like an old IBM. I recommend Dell to people looking to buy. My first PC was the TI 99/4a from KMart for 99$. Then the Tandy 1000 in 1985. I've never been an Apple fan, had a few, well made, and ahead of Microsoft. but too proprietary like Trash 80s. I like the MS Surface that I've had for years, all original, no problemo, and very rugged like the Panasony toughbooks were. I've had many confusers since Freenet, and my faves were Dells. The first PCs I saw were Commie PET and Kaypro II, that was early 80's before the ""IBM clones"". Funny, the Cleveland FREENT began with an Apple II at CWRU. OY VAY, free internet in 1985, such a good idea! (at 300 baud dial up) Don, ab064 on Freenet
Step to the pay window! It's always a good feeling when you're not too sure about a repair and you hit the switch and VOILA! it works! Nice job, and keep up the good work. See you next time
Well this one is small one, smaller than I would like. It was bought a a retail shop, and originally had a weighted base which made it useless. I ripped the base off, extended the wires and zap strapped it to an old desk lamp swing arm.
@@treadmillrepair754 Getting that way and I walk away from those. I actually walk away from much more than I actually repair. Because I am not in the business I am very selective as to what I actually attempt to repair.

Hello mate. I have a samsung tv video on my channel that i would love if you would take some time to look over .And tell me what you think it could be.thk you.
My Acer switch 10 isn't working when charging it shows the orange light and it have been charging for 8hrs but still doesn't work any idea on how to fix this?
females are too stupid to understand electronics. the only electronic device a bitch should be so much as looking at hard is one that cooks or washes something, and even then it should contain no actual electronics. it should be a crime punishable by death for a female to be allowed to so much as use a digital timer on a microwave oven. even a spring wound mechanical one is bordering dangerous territory
+Stuart D 123456 is the lock that those fradsters out of Pakistan that call up and pretend to be Microsoft and trick people to go to logmein to fix their computer, Then they lock it, and demand ransom to repair it. I know of several people, mostly seniors that fell for it, then hung up. I try that code when it asks for a password, and 9 out of 10 times that is what the fraudster has set it to.Of course they encrypt the hard drive, which once encrypted cant be unencrypted so once the lock password has been created, it is needed every time that computer is restarted.
+12voltvids Yeah those ransom ware encryption people are terrible humans for what they do. I did see an article about the author of "locker" who released all the encryption keys for his program so some people could get back their data. But i think its a little too late for most by then.

I don't have hot air because I am not in the business and won't be getting back into it. I am not about to start fixing phones, tablets and laptops. If it's not something that plugs into a tv and plays tapes, or something you plug into 2 speakers i am generally not interested in fixing it.

if u lost that button is it a worthless tablet?
+esblazer26 It was a worthless tablet in it's current state. Couldn't be turned on.Now it works, owner was very happy.
I hate how iPads are made as hard to service as possible. I see you discovered the life hack of using bread tags to label cords.
As always , another successful fix....thanks for sharing.
Not much point when you don't magnify the parts that need soldering etc.
Love all the video's recently! thank you!
