I used to love the routine checks in elementary school! They would use tongue blades to inspect our hair. We'd put our heads down on our desks and I would almost fall asleep every time.

Topic of this video hits me different nowadays. First time mom with a 6 month old, the amount of illnesses at daycare astonished me. Gonna be even more crazy once school starts!
My daughter just turned 7 months old. She’s been in daycare for about 3 months now. Literally every week & a half she brings home some kind of illness. Ear infections, eye infections, cough, runny nose, fevers, etc. Then by the time the weekend is over, she’s back to normal then by midweek she picks up something else. At least their immune system is getting a really good workout!
I didn't know that when my mom was checking my hair for lice when I was a kid it was actually ASMR maybe that's why I always fell asleep when she did that 😅
Wish the school nurse scalp check was 20min. I couldn't wait for the scalp check so she can play and part my hair like this. Sad part is with 20 students to a class the check was 2 min instead of 20. I'd give anything for a 20min hair play. When I get my hair done at the salon and they wash it and usually give a massage and I love that part just wish it was longer then 30 secs.

If your kid is in daycare till K, I guarantee they'll hardly ever get sick in elementary school. It's amazing!
