Sis at 2:20 has way too much product (whatever it was) in her hair. The key to a successful silk press is hair with no product build up. Clarify the hair, use a dime sized a mount of heat protectant throughout the whole head, and blow dry, then straighten using the chase method. One pass to press, another to curl/style.

Some of them shook their hair too hard or for too long so their curls fell. Also if you have naturally frizzy hair, probably don't shake like that. But so many of them were so pretty. I love how they all kinda came out differently bc of the technique and hair texture. Women are so awesome. Yay us!
I've been mostly wearing my hair like this since I hit puberty many years ago, lol. When it's shorter, it looks Marilyn Monroe-ish, when it's long it looks like the vid above and Farrah Fawcett-sih. It's crazy to see it's a trend now.
