NOW IS THE TIME I REGRET WHEN I TOLD MY MOM TO THROW AWAY HER HAIR STUFF FROM COSMETOLOGY SCHOOL BC I DIDN'T WANT IT WHILE I WAS IN THE SIXTH GRADE
Do you have boces in your school? If so you can take cosmetology if your school allows it,which most likely gives you both the skills to do this, and the materials (because you would get a kit for class) if not then you can probably buy a kit off Amazon
@TaylorsDynamics1002 she asked me if i wanted it bc she didn't need it and i told her to just throw it away😭😭😭
@@claymoura2484 no unfortunately they don't but i will check out that on Amazon
The blonde girl's hair who duetted the first girl is giving me MAJOR dolly parton vibes and I love it
@@kadyacker6147 True, the hair does most of the work there. Still love it though
@@purplebubblegum4055 I was getting that more from the first girl, but I see it
im actually rlly glad i saw a lot more black women doing this trend, i might do it on my 4c hair lol
To everyone that is wanting to try this, my grandmother says to use one of those round brushes that the first girl uses and blow dry your hair around the brush. If you do this then your hair is more likely to look like the first girl's. Using a curling iron or straightener makes the curls too small and not as loose.
But do you need to do it when your hair is wet? And do you need any kind of product? Thank GRANDMA for us!
@@djm4854 well, I’m not a professional, but you could try doing the curls with your wet hair to make it last longer for sure
@@djm4854 Yeah, you can start from wet and if you want to have it hold longer than you can use some hairspray. My family swears by Rave, but you can use any of them.
The First One Is Everythingggg😌👍🏾
Edit: Thx sm for 2.7k ly 💕
ikr and shes so pretty like i saw her on my fyp and just- UGH shes so pretty
Farrah Fawcett popularized this hairstyle in the mid 70s when she was on Charlie’s Angels, suddenly everyone was wearing variations of it into the early 80s.
THE GIRL WITH THE SALMON COLORED HAIR LOOKS SO GOOD LIKE OMLORD, I CAN SEE IN HER EYES SHE DOEST LIKE IT BUT SHE LOOKS SO GOOODDD
I love how it's 70s inspired, but it's Lisa Lisa lol
The trend is literally folks turning 1970s flipped hair into 1980s gigantic flipped hair. Hence the the song from the 80s. Lol
1:35 someone explain to me how the hell is his glasses stayed at one place? Mine would fall down if i do some little move 🤣🤪
The optometry assistant did a good job shaping that frame to fit his shape
That's because you wear a store brand or your glasses person sucks at they job.
@@amazinriah1420 this makes a lot of sence. Next time i'll buy my glasses at special place ahah
This is amazing ,... what has me dead though is the fact that if more people paid attention to the KIND of brush that was used they could have gotten better results
Exactly, I was confused how they didn’t realize it was a curled brush, and clearly helps the curls, but some don’t have common sense (or possibly money)
Also, I don’t know how they didn’t realize that it wouldn’t work, some of them didn’t even have curls💀
it's funny bc lisa lisa and the cult jam is 80's freestyle
someone said that the trend is to turn the 70s hair into 80s voluminous hair
It’s all about her layering! Some of these look great on other hair cuts but especially the longer haired people I would say curl a lot higher up and not just the ends to achieve the same kind of fluff and my shorter hair people. Have always been obsessed with fluffy hair so I’m glad to see it trending my years of practice are finally useful!
I feel for my curly haired girls I also use to have to straighten my hair first which totally loses some of that natural volume, I tried avoiding completely flattening my hair snd instead only smoothed out the very curly part when I would blow dry straight
Yes it had to do a lot with the cut along with technique of styling. Most of them didn't have layers which didn't have the same movement. And using a bigger curling iron instead of 1inch would make a difference.
you literally dont understand how happy i am that this trend is coming back in. I'd watch older television shows or clips and salivate over the hair styles. I'm all for it.
They look like cute mushrooms
The Mushroom was actually the name of a hairstyle back then (late 70s early to mid 80s) so you aren’t too far off.
As a girl with naturally curly and thick ass hair , FINALLY IRS OUR TIME TO SHINE LOL tho these are all ppl curling their hair but still
Me at 6:33 : “huh.... that girl looks a lot like Lizzo.”
*looks at the TikTok handle*
Me: “holy crap”😳
@@Leila-it9vr yeah.... I know... that’s why I said “holy crap” when I saw her TikTok handle in the video (the whole point of this comment) 😂
Who else is shocked the glasses didn’t go flying when the hand banging started?!?! 😂
That first one is sooo inspirational😊then, I need to remember that I have 4c hair, so that style’s not an option for me😭
@Zyiarrah Moore right imma get a nice honey blonde wig and try I’m obsessed😩
Donna summers wore this hair in the 70s it look great on textured hair blown out
You can stretch your hair as if you were doing a rod set or a blowout and it should still work depending on the length and your get even more volume. No need for heat 😊 just make sure to do it when your hair is really wet and add leave in and mousse
Cool 👍🏼😎💚
I’m screaming at the chick n red holding her wig so it don’t fall off 😂😂
Chaka Khan and all them older women, like my mom, wore their hair like that.
Sn: Black girls, make sure your hair isn’t weighed down with oil. It has to be done on freshly washed and straightened hair for the best results. Get that Pink brand or Isoplus sheen spray; spray afterwards for a shine. For hold, use Aquanet 😂🤣😂
The first one looks straight from the 70's 🥰
The key is to make sure your hair is actually curled. A lot of folks don't fully curl their ends and then they brush them out immediately instead of allowing them to cool first (that sets the curl). If they are fully cooled full curls it will look better after the shake out.
4:28 saw this one on twitter and thought the trend started with her 😭😭😭 SHE'S IN MY DREAMS I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT HER 🏃🏻♀️
If I said it once I've said it a million times, black women can pull off anything, but flipped ends have a special place in my heart💜💜💜
The first girl is literally what my grandma looked like during those times
My grandma STILL wears a his hairstyle. Only she doesn’t have a round brush. 😂
I love every era that’s not 2000 cause they had some bomb hairstyles back then especially the 70’s
The 2000s were just the replay of 70s, I think you mean the 2010s, that's when hair hot boring as hell
I love this trend so so much, the 70’s were just super iconic🕺🏾✨
The black girls kinda remind me of SZA like that’s the vibe it gives me
4:06 girl this one it's flawless, looks like a fairy 😍😍😍😍
They alright but they will never beat the OG people that had their hair like this in the 1970s
I love that this could be coming back into style because I don't have the confidence to try this just yet lol- we'll see
Bruh I never saw this before and when she flipped her hair back and then showed us my jaw dropped
0:26 now that’s back in the dayyy
Now I want 40s victory curls to be a trend too 💖👏
Us thin hair people cant pull this off lmfao. We need some type of thickness/body to make the look pop...the tears I have lol
Try curling all of it with rollers then brushing/shaking it out. That’s what my mom(teen in the 70s) did.
OR if you’re really struggling and determined to get volume in your hair you could get a body perm
@@anonym7347 thx, I’ll try the curlers, but not the body perm since I’m black with natural tight coils/curls 😭🥲
2:30 took me out! 😂🔥
People who love this 70's look should check out some of the other styles from that era. So much to see, and from the photos in my parent's yearbooks there was seemingly a style for every type of hair texture!
4:47 F-ing beautiful
@@iheartkitty283 You forcing me to find her beautiful?, Your psychiatrist is waiting for you.
@@crimatorslick5271 idk what you mean but that girl she was talking about is beautiful

I cannot be happier that 70’s hair is here for spring! 😍😍😍😍😍
I TRIED THIS WITH A CURLING IRON, DONT. IT... JUST USE THE HAIR CURLERS PLZ.
i feel like lizzo would use this trend and use this hairstyle for a song🤚🏼
The prettiest look they did back then! I love volume !
Loved this ❤️❤️
Keep up the awesome work 👍👍♥️♥️♥️♥️
This is my Era.... The first Female has the Farrah Fawcett Flip, correct.
1:21 i- pop off? idk
My mans in the glasses and tie dye had that Prince I wanna be your lover flip honey.😂👍
Everyone's hair on this video's hair is beautiful !😊
I was thinking of doing this hairstyle for my brothers wedding
They broke the engagement 😃
Speaking as someone who is black I'm surprised most of those girls really didn't take into consideration how Type 3 & 4 hair work even when straightened. Maybe bob the head once :/
Yayyy!! Big hair is back!!!
I love the 70s hairstyle is Beautiful 🤩
I lived through the 70's and 80's, I'm good. Once was waaaaayy more than enough 🙄.
I really wanna try this but my hair is way too long
I love that style 🔥🔥🔥
The hair flips are so funny but after it looks so good how can u hate it :)
THE GUY THO!

Everyone looks so cute doing this 😭💖
I’m a black woman, been doing this since the beginning of 2020. Not by trying to break my damn neck, but I style it like the 70s.
2:26 had the wrong kind of brush
This song is everything. ❤ wish i had thick hair.
I used to hate my hair cause it always did this. Only in my 20's did I start loving it having so much volume.
2:59 okay but why does she look animated
All I gotta do is sleep on my hair and it does this😢
These are so cute!!! Now I wanna do it LOL
Why seventies hair with a eighties song?
It looks better with real hair
Bruh why're they all so preeeetttttyyyyyy, making me jealous lmaoo
