  • I am selling this 2016 Nexus Phantom 32SC Motorhome for my parents. This beautiful Motorhome was custom built for them with just about every upgrade offered ($23,000 in OEM options alone) and it has been housed in their 2500 sq ft carriage house since new. The $7,000 optional 4 color paint scheme and all exterior parts were exposed to the elements for less than 150 days since 2016. Both of my parents are very particular about the care and maintenance of their many vehicles, and it shows throughout the RV.
It’s important to note that the paint scheme is all PAINT. The are no cheap vinyl graphics that will eventually fade and peel off. If you wax and wash like my parents have this will look great for many years to come. Basically, you are looking at a very slightly used Motorhome that could easily pass as a 2022 or 2023 used RV. It has been washed after every trip by a professional detailer and waxed at least twice per year, sometimes more.
The chassis is an International Terra Star chassis with a 300 HP Maxx Force 7 Diesel Motor and a whopping 660 Foot Pounds of torque. It is paired to a 6 Speed Allison transmission for a smooth transition throughout the powerband. Awesome 19.5” Solid Aluminum Rims and Tires. The original tires have only seen about 150 days of UV exposure. They are barely worn. This is not a C Class frame build but rather a Super C capable of so much more than a C class. There is a big big difference between the two.
The Motorhome was purchased primarily to be used for weekend trips towing their vintage race cars to the track. They stopped racing a few years ago so it has been used about 3 to 4 times per year going to local RV spots with their RV club. They also made some trips up and down the west coast to visit family so the total mileage is only 21K (predominantly highway miles). It looks more like 2K. The reason for selling is that they are moving on to another phase of life and are now reluctantly selling. The inside and outside show little to no wear. I will show pictures of any imperfections I can find so no potential buyer will be surprised or disappointed when they come to view the rig. Pictures do not always tell the full story, so I am doing my best to use larger high-resolution photos all around the rig with a video as well.
Keep in mind that this is a SUPER C motorhome designed to carry heavy loads and tow! As I mentioned above, they used it to tow their TPD enclosed race trailer (with the car and gear probably tipped the scales at 5,000 lbs). This frame and engine are rated to tow over 12,000 pounds with a weight distribution setup (we have one) and 10,000 lbs. without. They also towed their Mini Copper on their non racing excursions and that was less than 3,500 lbs. total tow weight. You barely notice the towed vehicles back there.
If you are towing a half-filled water tank is suggested and without towing a full tank adds enough weight to make the ride a lot smoother. The added load on the back springs helps to smooth out the ride a bit. The 75-gallon water tank is located under the bed behind the axle. The front-end ride is smoothed out with a Sumo aftermarket spring setup being added a few years ago. The Terra Star frame and RV box is a 19,500 lb. max rating vehicle that unloaded weighs 17,000 lbs.
I have looked at all the Nexus Phantom 32 SC out there that I could find online, and without a doubt this is the cleanest looking and with significantly more put into upgrades than anything I have seen. Their upgrades help not only with looks but functionality as well. Beyond the OEM options my father’s aftermarket upgrades add more functionality and greater value to the whole RV experience. Since they are not transitioning to another RV there are additional goodies that they added that are not built into the rig. These additions will come with the RV if the buyer wants them. They have been removed for the sake of better photos. Most of these things help in organizing the inside but things like a tire inflation monitoring system, suspension helpers and a CB setup add additional safety and comfort to the RV experience. If you added them after the purchase, it would cost the buyer an additional 2k.
    A better driver experience:
The front seats are upgraded powered seats, and they are comfortable. The Bluetooth touch screen stereo system was also an upgrade which has both Sirius and GPS navigation built in. I have wired an external CB antenna and if I can find the original CB radio it will also come with the rig. They opted for a rear skirt guard in the OEM build, but about two years ago my dad installed another Heavy-duty skirt that is significantly better than the optional one that Nexus offered. If you’re towing a car or truck, you will appreciate the protection this one offers in shielding the tow vehicles paint. The optional rear and side view cameras are handy when backing up.
