Agreed, there's no wrong way to camp/RV! Whatever makes you happy😁 On second thought... Our dogs actually travel and camp the best way haha they just get to go and no pay or drive etc living the good life!😂
Love the video, I recently went from a gas powered class A (Windsport 35M) to a 2023 Nexus Wraith 34W. I will say I love the improvement in towing and ride quality and I noticed a few differences in my 34W from yours. My 2023 has a stainless residential style fridge but most of the other appliances look similar or the same. I notice the exterior storage compartments are slightly different on mine also where most of them swing out from the side rather than upwards like yours. We have two older teenagers (17 & 15) and my wife and I bought this to do some road trips with them before they fly the nest and hopefully in a few years we'll be traveling and working remotely at least half the time. I did buy ours with the Liquid spring system already installed based completely off your video of when you got yours installed, so thanks for the video on that! So far we love ours, we've only put about 3,000 miles on ours in a few months and half of that was just driving it home but I am hopeful we're just as happy with ours as you are with yours.
That's awesome! We will be doing a 3 year update video as well very soon because we've now owned it 3 years... Crazy! Love that you got liquid spring and we wish it was offered when we found it but hey we worked hard to get every wraith and triumph with the 18,500lb springs from the factory so that in itself was an upgrade from what we originally had😂 we've also considered changing out our doors for the side hinged ones (should have been that from the beginning but oh well) 😁
So thumbs up to the Wagners! One thing I would like to see is front to back hinges other than top to bottom hinges !! on Doors the out side storage doors!!
@@WanderingWagners So I have been trucking way back since the 80s now just a hwy worker!! I use To haul grain to Toledo/Maumee many years ago !! Now I just want to go camping! Like you and Mike!!
We just love you guys! Always upfront and just make sense to Michele and I. When things calm down some more (meaning prices) we are finally in a place in time when we can spend time on the road! We will always look to you guys for great advice! Thanks! 🇺🇸👍
Love you guys. Unlike so many, (especially couples) you're not tedious, obnoxious or boring. Just watched your 1 year review of your Wraith. Like the comments regarding the super C versus an A motorhome. Ok it's great that you like the look - hey I'm a trucker, but there is so much more to be said. #1 is the safety factor. Ever seen a A that rear ended another truck at high speed? Yeah, right in your face! If it's the bus style, (diesel pusher) the only door is ahead of the wheels making it even worse. I doubt the the front end of any A has nearly the structural integrity of the cab of a super C, aside from the lack of any structure ahead of the windshield. You also have the convenience of a passenger and driver door with fully retracting power windows. It's a more natural driving style with the front wheels ahead of the cab. I drove a flat nose 33 passenger bus, and turning corners is quite different when the front wheels are behind you. Anyway, have watched and enjoyed many of your videos, and learned a few things along the way. Watch out for those soft shoulders at the campsite. Pat
I make these, I'm in production for Nexus. We make the best RVs believe that. Top quality parts and most important the employees care and produce the best RV in the industry.
@@WanderingWagners Thank you ! I only do the lamination, but that allows me to see the raw product walls and such. The care put in to every part is beyond what any company would do and they use steel instead of aluminum for strength. The RVs are built like tanks.
So nice to hear someone else who is happy with their Wraith. Only had mine since last fall and haven't been out much. My last rv was a 40 foot Winnebago and it took all 5 years to get it right, so even though many people rave about Winnebago, I don't want another one. Can't wait until the meetup in August, to finally meet you after following you since before I bought my Wraith.
Congratulations on 15,000 miles in your first year with the Wraith. That is very impressive. Ignore those who would talk down on one brand or another. We are in the process of buying our fourth motor home. We’ve owned a Coachman, Alpine, Monaco, and now going to a Renegade. Each has its pros and cons. In the end we each find what we like, what we don’t like, and what works with our budget. Go with what works for you and then rock it like you are doing. I’m guessing not a single person talking down on the Nexus has ever come close to 15,000 miles on their RV in one year. I love your content. Keep it coming!
Completely agree! Unless they're paying for my RV then their opinion is just that... Opinion😎 no RV is perfect and this Wraith sure wasn't! We did a lot of mods but love it for what it is. It's simple yet nice enough we don't mind camping and getting dirty. It's more about the places we go and the memories
I own a Nexus 32W. I had it built for us and picked up in Elkhart in April 2018. I have 35,000 miles on it. I had Liquid Springs pick up the vehicle in Elkhart and install their product in Lafayette, Illinois before taking ownership from Nexus. The International chassis is great no complaints. The fit and finish on the motor home is not great. The Liquid Springs works great, as does our Big Foot hydraulics leveling system. Nexus was good through the one year warranty period. After that they never responded to any calls or questions. All in all we are very happy with the coach. It will be our last coach. Thanks for your video.
If it's not obvious, I've spent many hours in the last few days watching your catalog of videos. I'm originally from fort Wayne Indiana by the way and live in Massachusetts. Currently have an old school 2006 Sunseeker class C, 31 ft but not a super C and that's my next move. Of course my eyes really want a renegade or one of the big boys but I'm impressed with what you got for what you spent. I really like your videos and I like your presentation. Keep it up because it seems like all the stuff you guys cover is of interest to me and I can't think of another couple who's videos capture my interest like yours. And I do so love busting your balls about Piper. It's funny watching this video and seeing Mike lobbying for the liquid springs, which you ultimately ended up getting. It was really obvious! Haha.
We are with you on how nice renegades are etc. However we needed a shorter chassis and we actually like the international better but that's strictly personal preference. Trust us, Piper wants to be free and chase all the deer until her heart is content😂🤦🏼♀️ when we are home she's usually off leash and has run off a few times which is terrifying. Mind of her own that girl! Haha Haha yes! We were liquid spring fans before we even had them. After having them it's night and day though! Happy to hear we cover a lot of your interests too!😁👏🏻 appreciate the comment
We own a Newmar Baystar Class A and really like it, however we just spent a week in Elkhart and stopped by Nexus and we had such great experience and factory tour including driving a Wraith. Bryan Walczak , regional Sales Manager took 2 hours out of his busy day to spend with us ! He showed us everything , he answered all of our questions , he was fantastic and listened. I went in wanting to look at a Ghost and left saying the Wraith was the right fit for us! PS they upped their suspension to 18k , took out the bottoming on bumps, very nice ride and the coach was a blast to drive compared to our class A. Great company and we are considering our options because of their passion about their product, thanks for the videos!
great video, thanks! I think what gets overlooked a bunch is the safety aspects of a super C--especially vs. class A. I wouldn't want to be in ANY kind of collision in a class A. You have all that engine in front, and airbags.
I hear you on the rain. Down here in SE Florida we have had nonstop rain on every day I had time to cut the grass at the rental house. We have a lawn service at our home but not at the rental as I use that as an opportunity to check on the house and the care the renters are maintaining on the house. I finally got it cut yesterday. It was so long up past my knees in the backyard and calf high in the front. I ended up having to weed whack first cuz the rider kept getting clogged every 8-12 feet cuz it was still so wet cuz it was so long and the sun couldn't dry it out. Once I weed whacked I raked the yard and then cut it with the rider. It literally took all day cuz it's just under an acre. I'm rethinking the lawn service at the rental.
Yeah, we could have bailed the grass clippings and it kept stalling out the rider because it was so tall and wet but it needed cut! Pulled weeds in the garden that were overtaking it but luckily the weeds were fairly easy to pull out because the ground was literally mud haha
Just bought a 34 foot travel trailer pulling it with an f250 crew cab 8 foot long bed. Then we take a second vehicle a chevy express 3500 to haul a 20 foot trailer with 3 atvs for camping. If I go with a motor home like you got it would be a great consolidator for all the headaches. Camping should be fun. I got too much going on when we go camping. Great video nice rig thank you for putting out content.
Yeah a motorhome could work much better for you! We absolutely love the motorhome vs trailer now after having both. Thanks for the comment we appreciate it and hope you find the best RV for you, you're right, camping should be FUN!
I just watched your video. Well done. I bought a Nexus Ghost 36DS brand new 3 years ago (2019) because it has a 20,000 lb rated trailer hitch and is under 37' long. Its a great layout and fits inside my garage with room to spare. It has rear air ride, air brakes, and the larger Cummings engine. I pull a 16,000 pound race car trailer with it over the California grades and it tows great up and down the hills. After I bought mine I've seen others showing up at the races with them as well because of the hitch and truck rating. We love it. I've previously owned 4 different NRC conversion toterhomes with Freightliner Columbia and M1 chassis and I was a little concerned about making the switch to an International Truck but I have to be honest... I like the International a lot better than the Freightliner. The dash layout, controls, quality, the fact that the cab air conditioner actually cools the cab, the International truck service department experience when it's time for oil changes compared to Freightliner, etc., is much better. We've never regretted our decision to buy it. 21,000 miles so far. Like you, we made some upgrades. We changed out two of the four TV'S it came with with Samsung QLED smart TV'S with wifi and Bluetooth, I added a tire pressure monitoring system, I installed a smart surge protector that detects over or under voltage including ground faults to protect the motorhome electronics (has already paid for itself at a campground we stayed at in Utah where the 50 amp campground connection was wired totally wrong). By the way. We have a slightly darker floor, slightly darker upholstery and a dog. After seeing your video I'm thinking that was probably a good move after all!
Definitely the right choice with the darker floors! We wish ours were darker. If we keep this rig long enough we might even change the floors for something different. We haven't ever kept something long enough to remodel or change things but we might actually keep this one awhile!
Sounds like we're following in your footsteps. Selling our travel trailer and getting a Super C. It was great to hear you guys speak after a year of having it. We're looking at a Renegade
I understand price. I’m retired so I would need the lottery to get one. IWS has a Renegade 36 foot on a FREIGHTLINER M2 chaise. The whole thing is built much better and lasts longer with better resale. The one downside is the price, $386.00, but you get what you pay for. You right though, Covid did jack all prices up. Thank you for the video!
To be honest, your Super C is starting to work on my wife and I as far as moving up to one. We've been pretty "anti-motor" for years, as we've watched people with the ginormous 40+ foot motor homes try to wedge into spots that just weren't made for something that size, but yours seems to be much more manageable. For two retired people like us, it's also a great size! I'm just shocked to hear your not trading it yet! I thought before I watched this that this was going to be your announcement on your next rig! If you're that happy with it, (and Nexus,) it must be good!!
This rig is extremely maneuverable! Plus the length fits pretty much everywhere without issue. I think this setup (C and Jeep) is shorter than the truck and trailers we've had in the past haha
We love your channel! It's nice seeing other super C enthusiasts 😄 Lynn I want to try some of your recipes! Planning on making that lemon custard cake as the first baked good when we get our super C. Mike, we love all your fixes! You guys are hilarious and down to earth.
Thats one bad ars looking rig! We're on trailer #3 in 5 years lol. Went from a 30ft or so Keystone passport, traded that in in less than a year, bought a 2018 Rockwood 8327ss and loved it but as kids get older they apparently need more room because watching movies sitting on the dinette table made into a bed just sucks lol. Now just took delivery of a 2021 Prime Time Crusader 382MBH 5th wheel and holy crap is it big at 43ft long but it's the perfect floor plan for us right now. Our next and probably final rig will be a super C.
Hi, would like to know more about the additional springs you added to your unit. We have a TSC30 (2023) and live couple miles from the Selking dealer that added yours. Are trying to eliminate road noises ourselves. We have taken her to CO twice thru Monarch Pass hauling trailer and SxS with no problems. Just road noise. Really like your videos.
Well you're RV would have come stock with the "upgraded" springs we had to add to our 20. In 21 they made them standard. We currently have liquid spring suspension in the rear of our Wraith and love them! Check out our 3 year update video, or search for our liquid spring videos for comparisons. Thanks for the comment and let us know if you have any other questions!😊
Awesome review ! You could always have the steps sprayed in linex bed liner, stuff is great! Also I vote for the AC over the AR in the garage . That would make the AR even cooler , literally.
Thank you for the feedback! We have had a few people suggest that so we will have to consider that if we don't find a way to get the OEM steps at a reasonable price haha would be nice to polish up the fuel tank! Haha you're right that would make it that much cooler😎
Show hauler is absolutely beautiful and has any and everything you will ever need BUT it also has a purpose and that purpose is not every day camping usually. Sure if your rich and want to impress the rv park you can do so but it’s made to drag around race cars. Your rig is almost perfect for what your needs are. I’ve never been an airstream fan just because of the amount of space I get for the money. I want my recliner and I want to be comfortable.
We looked at a showhauler online the other day and it was like DROOL🤤 but also close to $700k haha so yeah it can be a future rig if we win the lottery or something LOL we liked the Airstream for the great build quality and they use nicer finishings and stuff, among other things. They do have a few models with recliners though 😉haha we found it to bed cozy but we know not everyone likes them! I think we will be in a super c for many years!
I installed a Pioneer Mini-Split 24K BTU with Heat in my big shop and the only regret is that I didn’t do it 3 years sooner! No more rusty tools or problems with things staying damp since I live in Louisiana. I’ve been on the fence about the Nexus because of all the badmouthing people do and I’m going to rethink things a bit because I’d rather get into a SuperC than a Class A and currently I can get some really awesome 2-3 year old Tiffin Allegro or Phaeton’s for less than $200k. I guess some people are fine with spending +30% to not have to deal with the items that you’ve mentioned, but I’d feel weird if I bought something that I didn’t have to eventually work on a little! Haha. One thing you pointed out was the hydraulic brakes on the Nexus vs air brakes and I totally missed that but agree that’s not that big of a deal than most people make it out to be and the Liquid Springs addition I can attest too because my brother-in-law added them to his RV that had a supposedly great ride system and it was truly shocking how much it improved the ride and handling of his ClassA!
We will probably get a mini split for ac in the big garage before summer hits again! We have been happy with our Nexus, and pretty much everything you buy will need some repairs almost immediately, especially checking all the lines for leaks. Seems most RVs from every make and model have loose fittings no matter how much you pay! The only exception we've had was the airstream we had was good out of the gate! We did get liquid springs installed (and have a few videos of that if you're interested) and liquid spring is now a factory option with new Nexus' which is awesome for new builds!
I agree with that partially only because our floors aren't tile. They're a weird texture vinyl and it makes it very hard to clean. they almost always look dirty and dingy. I would need to scrub it with a magic eraser every day to keep them looking "clean". I'd rather they be non textured and darker in color or wood colored.
I have had Motorhomes all my life and have loved them For “handy” you can’t beat them. I have looked at these and really liked them but the Steps I saw immediately and wondered if I ordered one if I could order the stock freight liner steps that would be enough to make me order it and a darker floor and lighter cabinets I like lighter cabinets so I would just flip it and have light cabinets dark floor and I love the storage in the washer and dryer and I’m thinking about snowboarding in at where I’m gone you know 67 months out of the year and I think this 34 is a great deal and I am like you I can’t spend hundreds of millions of dollars I just need something that I actually can buy and I’m grateful for the price range of the nexus I think if people think about there be more buying this. There’s not a mechanic out there that would rather work on the Freightliner chassis then a class a motorhome everything is exposed it’s no sweat if you pay less hourly what rate that’s a good thing
They have other color options but this is what was available on the dealers lot when we bought. We love the dark cabinets though! Just wish the floors were maybe a gray or something. Cream isn't a great color for a camping rig haha. Nexus is on an International chassis, not a Freightliner but you're right, you'll always find a place to work on this rig over a class A!
Thanks for the information. Iam looking to buy in the future. I'm looking at the ghost. Some people are saying the quality is lacking because of the rush during covid. I'm glad to see that most fixes are pretty easy, and that there is no major flaws. You did change the springs in the rear but the ghost has air ride. I like the extra power in the ghost. I plan to pull a jeep also, so seeing that 300 hp cummins is good, makes me fill better.
If you are handy you should be able to fix things yourself fairly easily. Keep Ann eye out for leaks at connections in the plumbing, we had several when we first got it. After fixing them it's been all good on that front since then. We love pulling our Jeep and the Wraith didn't miss a beat in the Eastern or Western mountains.
So glad you like your Wraith. We went with Renegade Verona, 34 footer. We, too, wanted something smaller. We had a tent end hybrid trailer, then a 32 foot fiver. Then a 30 foot class A. We hated the ride of the class A and the white knuckling on certain roads....argh.....we love our Super C and we plan no more RV'S.....
We strongly considered the renegade but at the time we weren't sure we would even like a motorhome vs a truck and trailer so we opted for the less expensive route. Luckily we are very happy!
I installed a Perfect Air mini split in our Guest quarters. It’s an easy install, I think it has a SEER 19 rating. Very quite. Heats and Cools an 800 sq ft area no trouble. Cost was around $1,500 plus another for hundred for the stand and line covers. Appreciate your review of Nexus.
I've driven a bunch of International Box Trucks with manual transmissions. They are SO GREAT. The trans just click from gear to gear unlike Fords where you have to search for the gear you want.
@@WanderingWagners Much appreciated. Thinking more about your idea for a mini split in the garage. Get a large one. I have an office above my garage with a mini split. Kinda wish I had installed a larger one. It struggles to keep up on warm days. Putting the fan on High vs. Auto helps a lot. It’s a Mitsubishi.
I figured you guys were happy with your Super C since we haven’t seen you window shopping lately 😀. And since the IX Center closed down, you can’t even browse the Cleveland RV show in a few months!
Haha well we almost did go browse one day recently, just because we didn't have much else to do but there just isn't much of anything on RV lots! Sad haha
First video I've watched on a Super C. Great presentation. Your logic on size sure has me thinking. I fulltime in a 42' fifth wheel, requiring my daily driver be a dually. It rattles my fillings loose on the way to the grocery store then I have to park out in East Moses. Downtown?? Now, *there's* an adventure!! It seems if you can separate 'need' from 'want', size isn't everything. Enjoyed your video, loved your dogs!!
Thank you! The dogs are a pretty big part of our channel🐕 We are very happy with this motorhome and can't believe it took us this long to go the motorhome route but so glad we did! The Jeeps are much easier to take around vs the dually that's for sure. Not to mention we can take the dogs with the top/doors off and they love it too!
Thanks for the update. My wife and I are looking at the Nexus Rebel. We may need to drive in snow climate and figure the 4x4 will come in handy at times. Swaggy
That's a great option! They didn't have the rebel when we looked but 4x4 would have been nice to have since we camp and travel year round. Tire chains for us!😂
Just came across your channel and enjoy it! I lived in a 1996 ram and serro scotty c setup. It was 25 foot with cummins 5.9. For one person it was awesome! Heated and enclosed holding tanks so great for four season use and 12 to 14 mpgs. I will have to watch your other videos to find out about mpgs and whether this model has heated and enclosed underbelly
We use this rig year round! We added a heater to the dump bay, which is where the gray and black tanks are, fresh is inside under our bed. Almost all of the lines are inside and we've camped in 0 degrees without issues thus far. We wanted a rig where we could camp year round and we found it, even if we had to add the space heater to the dump bay ourselves it's worth it. We get 8-9 mpg towing the loaded Jeep
Nice vid! I’ve been getting hammered with rain at my Massachusetts home campground where many projects have been delayed. I’m looking forward to hitting the road around Columbus Day to see some new things before settling in back in my other home RV park in East Texas.
I know you did the roof repair a while back now. I have the same problem with my Wraith. Two questions. 1) how long were the bolts 2) did you drill into the steel bar? Hard to tell. Hopefully you see this.
this was the kind of review i wanted to see, well done mate, sadly i wish they were the same price now so we might have to wait a while, excellent guys, sounds like your budget was the same as ours is right now
Great review of your Wraith, they are a great looking Super C. I spent a little more and got the Seneca,we have a bath and a half. I am a Freightliner guy, and I really like the air ride and air brakes, also I like the side opening doors in the lower storage area. But I like all the Super C’s ,they ride and drive great and look awesome.
I have enjoyed watching you work your way through multiple rvs. I have had my current rig (#2) for a year and I am starting to look for the next one. Nice review.
We have a 37' Class A FERD and wish I had a Super C. Mainly because mainenance on the engine is a pain to do. I do most of it too! But, I built the Coach into what it is. 20 years ago I totally remodeled and repowered to a Hot Rod Diesel Motor with 5 speed Allison Transmission from a 460 EFI Ford gasser and C6 3 speed. Went from 210 HP @ 6 mpg to 450 HP @ 13.5 MPG. I've owned it since 1995. And have over 110,000 miles on it. So I guess a Super C is not going to happen, unless I wreck this one. And the thing I like most about Motorcoaches over camping in Travel Trailers is, since I do all of the driving, I like to pull into rest stops when I get tired. Take a shower and then get a quick nap in my own bed without having to ever leave the Coach. Plus my wife will bring me a bowl of ice cream when we are trucking across the desert. Sure makes a difference because it's always like being in a fish bowl with all the glass around me on a 115 degree day. If I had it to do over I'd go with a Super C rather than remodel and repower the one we have. But, it's been a 30+ year hobby of mine, so I can't complain. I'm a Gearhead and I like More Power! I also have a custom built 4X4 Rock Crawler. It's an Isuzu, not a Jeep! Loads of fun being that odd ball guy. Good Video Guys.
That's very cool that you did all that to your class A! We are happy with the super c and think we made the right choice vs a class a. We also love being able to park and never leave the coach! It's especially nice if it's raining and with the dogs.😊 Thank you for sharing your insight!
I found the same problem with the steps on my Nexus so I put anti-slip on the entire step area and I also replaced my bedroom mattress which I found very uncomfortable. That’s about it. Matt Fiandt at Nexus has been fantastic as far as addressing any issues I had.
We like the look of the stock chassis steps better than these, plus the slip resistance is much better. However, the new new Nexus' seem to have nicer steps! We replaced our mattress on day 1😂
We can only speak with regards to our 2020 (that we bought early in 2020.) There were some basic general issues(tightening up all the plumbing and fixing leaks mostly) that we fixed mostly ourselves so it wasn't a huge deal, and sadly you'll get that with pretty much any RV manufacturer. Overall we'd buy this RV again especially for the price we paid. We have a 3 year review update video we shared last year if you're interested in that as well.th-cam.com/video/DbZK5iLged4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=J-VKaP30cjxri86A
Agree, motorhome be it Class A, Class Super C or Class C is much better. Lynn, I agree the washer/dryer is great. We originally thought it a novelty but it is great. Another reason for Class A, Super C or C is easy hookup. I can hook my Jeep Wrangler up to my Class A in 5 minutes and it is easy, Travel Trailers and 5th wheels not so much. Having the manufacture listen is fantastic I wish Fleetwood would do the same thing, we are still trying to get our new 2021 2 months old Bounder fixed so everything works.
The washer dryer is a must have now😂 definitely worth it to us. We agree about hooking up the Jeeps, so easy and fast! Sorry to hear about your bounder. We looked and considered them pretty hard when we were looking. Hopefully nothing major for you
#245 Thank You for your Review! I thought it was quite interesting. I own a 2014 Winnebago Trend 23B with 68,000 miles on it. I am a widower so it fits well. Great Fuel Economy, 15.7 to 15.3 mile per gallon, average.
I love your doggers, they are happy on the road n at home n probably sleep with m n d too. 🙃 I wish I could afford one like yours, but not going to happen unless I win the lottery.
I would definitely consider a Nexus Wraith for my next super C. I also like the International chassis. Of course I could be bias since I farm with international tractors.
Honestly, I see you in a Showhauler, if you ever change. Oh my gosh, I wrote that comment about 30 seconds before you mentioned Showhauler. Lmao!! Edit #2: I love the way you think 79 deg. is hot. My travel trailer was 102 deg yesterday right before I turned on the A/C. 🤣😂 Piper was so happy to go for a ride!!🐾🐾🐾
Piper’s look while chewing on her frisbee, “Your taping means nothing to me. You can proceed.” Looking forward to watching the beginning of your journey. #newsubbie
Good review. Laundry while driving, multitasking at it's finest. I'd spring for the factory stairs, in a few weeks you'll forget about the money, but you will appreciate the stairs every single time you get in and out of the Wraith, there is also the safety factor to consider. Cheers from B.C.
We just don't understand why we can't buy them from Nexus... They're stock on every chassis. I'm sure we will eventually change the steps because Mike really hates them
@@WanderingWagners Contact Matt's RV"S, If anyone can get them, he can. As much as you buy and sell, he would love to have your business. I feel, ya'll will love, Matt and Andrea. The more I watch them, the more I would definitely feel at peace buying from them. I can usually pick up on people and I can't stand pushy sales people. From what I've seen, he is definitely not like that at all.
I have the same steps on my Ghost and after your comments I'm thinking about some spray-on bed liner for the steps. It should make them less slippery and maybe cut down on any vibration. Can you tell me the exact kind of bolts Mike put in the cab? Yes to puttin' AC in the garage. Keep the good stuff coming.
We've replaced many a screw on those steps. Self tapping screws is what the factory loves to use on everything and they're garbage and come out. As for the bolts I got them at home Depot and they're 1/4"x50mm -20tpi connecting bolts. Also used nuts, washers, lock washers
I like that ideal of a AC unit in the garage, it screams man cave /Lynn gym lol. Coach is a genius, add a small fridge and fill it up with Mike Andres champagne which is my favorite to an Lynn beers which I still can’t figure out the brand you drink lol, y’all can enjoy Browns or Bengals games in the jacuzzi haha
We have been considering a garage fridge or getting a kegerator again, maybe both. I usually drink Miller high Life 🍺 while Mike drinks sweet wine and champagne. The addition of the hot tub was one of our best decisions yet💯😁
Everyone travels there own way. I travel with an eighty pound doberman. Love your realationship with the dogs.
Agreed, there's no wrong way to camp/RV! Whatever makes you happy😁
On second thought...
We'd love to see that too! Those are on the Nexus ghost but not the Wraith for some dumb reason
@@WanderingWagners So I have been trucking way back since the 80s now just a hwy worker!! I use To haul grain to Toledo/Maumee many years ago !! Now I just want to go camping! Like you and Mike!!
@@garykocker5785 camping is the best therapy and vacation all in one haha
@@WanderingWagners Matt's RV reviews said that Nexus is finally doing that on the Triumph so hopefully that will get to the more expensive Wraith.
I guess that means they listened to us again! We asked them from the beginning to do that😂
We just love you guys! Always upfront and just make sense to Michele and I. When things calm down some more (meaning prices) we are finally in a place in time when we can spend time on the road! We will always look to you guys for great advice! Thanks! 🇺🇸👍
Thank you!🤗 we appreciate that. We wonder when or if pricing will stabilize/go down again.
Pat
Thank you very much for the comment!
😁 I'll be sure to keep an eye out for those pesky soft pads😜
I make these, I'm in production for Nexus. We make the best RVs believe that. Top quality parts and most important the employees care and produce the best RV in the industry.
That's great! Keep that pride in your work and the end users will appreciate your work that much more.
@@WanderingWagners Thank you ! I only do the lamination, but that allows me to see the raw product walls and such. The care put in to every part is beyond what any company would do and they use steel instead of aluminum for strength. The RVs are built like tanks.
That’s bullshit. I’ve been in one of these and they’re garbage
@@mitchell1108A Quality is much better in the Dynamax!
Dynamax is not garbage they are pretty awesome to
I also had an Airstream for years and loved it and now I also went with a Super C. I love it. I also have a jeep that I pull.
Very similar paths! After over 3.5 years with our super C, we still plan to keep it!
You guys are the best!!!! Thank you for your honesty and continued information and entertainment!
Thank you so much!!😁 We are happy to entertain and definitely be real and honest with everyone
Welcome to the international chases for your steps. A custom crome shop will be your best means of making it better and beautiful.
We recently upgraded the steps. Video isn't out yet though
Should be a great time and we can't wait to see everyone😁🙌🏻🎉
Can I just say, your puppies are both adorable and beautiful! OMG!
Thank you! We happen to agree😁🐕♥️
👍👏
Yeah they are hard to get ahold of. But we are happy with it! We'd buy it again
Haha
Haha yes! We were liquid spring fans before we even had them. After having them it's night and day though!
Happy to hear we cover a lot of your interests too!😁👏🏻 appreciate the comment
Over the past 30 years, we have had it all. From Airstream, Class A motorhome, to our current 5th wheel. All have their advantage, and dis advantages.
Yes they do! That's why there are so many options. Everyone has different likes/dislikes, wants/needs. We love them all
We own a Newmar Baystar Class A and really like it, however we just spent a week in Elkhart and stopped by Nexus and we had such great experience and factory tour including driving a Wraith.
Yes they started putting in the 18,500 springs as standard after we did it and recommend they start doing that. It made a big improvement!
The west coast is having a drought. Maybe you could go camping out there and bring the rain with you.
It did follow us when we were there last! Our garden was flooded for over a week and I'm not sure some of it will recover😩
I love all the windows in the bedroom
That is nice, except in the Winter haha but they're great for light!
Appreciate your honesty on the do not like items. Thanks...
Absolutely!
great video, thanks! I think what gets overlooked a bunch is the safety aspects of a super C--especially vs. class A. I wouldn't want to be in ANY kind of collision in a class A. You have all that engine in front, and airbags.
Most definitely!! I love the safety aspect of the super c
Love that it’s more than enough storage for you…we never have that situation 🤣
I can't imagine what packing for a RV trip looks like for you guys! Probably why we only tent camped as kids with all of us kids😂
Thanks for the honesty, as always. Seriously considering a Wraith.
Very welcome! We are always honest. No RV is perfect and if you are ok with working out the bugs, Nexus makes a great RV that we really enjoy
Renegades are super nice! You won't regret it.
Great episode, my wife and I are torn between a 5th wheel and a super c. You really helped us make a decision. I luv super cs
There's no comparison for us anymore!
My friend has the same RV and he just installed a Liquid Suspension system and he said it is like night and day improvement!!
It's definitely something we have considered!
We are planning on doing a 3 year review video very soon!
I had to try one of your camping spots in Wisconsin. Edge O Dells, great place to vacation for 6 nights. It’s a beautiful place and a definite 👍👍
Glad to hear you enjoyed it! We want to get back there this summer before the pool closes for the season🤞🏻
I definitely agree with you on the Equalizer System! Mine has never worked correctly.
Yeah it's been bad since day 1
Unfortunately, my Bigfoot levelers are same way. It prefers wheels off the ground so I just do it manually so I don’t have to redo it
7:08 cheez-it. My favorite. Well i like the white cheddar. Plus dogs are adorable.
Love cheez-its! Been awhile since we had the white cheddar but hard not to love cheese haha the dogs also love cheese crackers😂
I own a 2006 Jayco Seneca on a Chevy Kodiak Chassis with Duramax diesel. Very similar to your Wraith. Enjoying it very much.
We know people who used to have one of those. Pretty rare to see one anymore
Nice honest review. You guys have used your Nexus under all kinds of conditions and I respect your opinion.
We definitely put it through the paces! It did very well year round which only made us like it that much more
good channel guys!!! good job!!!
Thank you! Appreciate that very much😊👏🏻
I think this RV fits you the best...
We agree. I never knew we were motorhome people but now I can't imagine not having a motorhome!
Enjoyed this review and can see you are much happier with this unit.
Thank you! We are very happy we went this route
Ordered a Ghost. Can't wait, it's in paint now.
Congratulations! Shouldn't be long now then👍🏻
1st! Ok, you sold me! Now I need one to buy and the money to buy one. ; - )
Congrats on being 1st🎉 we lucked out when we bought when we did. Didn't think prices would go up so much!
We love your channel! It's nice seeing other super C enthusiasts 😄 Lynn I want to try some of your recipes! Planning on making that lemon custard cake as the first baked good when we get our super C. Mike, we love all your fixes! You guys are hilarious and down to earth.
Thank you so much!😁 Definitely make some recipes and hopefully you enjoy them. Thanks for the comment, we love hearing from everyone🙌🏻
43' is a big boy! We are loving the super c so if you do go that route eventually hopefully you'll love it too
I removed my steps an put grey foam tape on mounting areas refastened made a big difference on noise from steps
We have recently modified our steps! So recently that our video on that isn't out yet haha
@@WanderingWagners I just found/watched the 3 yr video. Can the Selking Dealer install the liquid springs?
I don't believe they are. You'd probably have to make the trip out to Indiana to have it installed. It's worth it though!
@@CynSzk no, only liquid spring and their approved installation dealers. We got ours installed on Lafayette Indiana at their headquarters
Great review of your coach guys. Thanks for sharing Mike & Lynn.
Thank you, Ric! We are pretty happy with this rig so far😊
@@WanderingWagners Glad you’re loving it!
Great show wow
Thank you very much!🙌🏻
Show hauler is absolutely beautiful and has any and everything you will ever need BUT it also has a purpose and that purpose is not every day camping usually.
Also if horse power becomes issue a 2k up grade to Cummins motor will put you at 400 plus and the motor will Handel it very well.
Transmission won't
Well done, very honest and useful review. Safe travels,.
Thank you! We appreciate that. We try to be as transparent as possible for everyone
I don’t mind light floors, because you DO see the dirt. You can see to clean, and being tile it’s quick and easy.
I have had Motorhomes all my life and have loved them
For “handy” you can’t beat them.
Love watching you two . Really like your super c
Thank you very much! We appreciate that. We are both very happy with our super c🙌🏻
Both of you look so happy 😁
Thank you! We are very happy😊
Looks JUST like a RV that was camping near us this past weekend! Yall have a kick ass RV!
It is pretty kick ass, but we may be bias😂
You guys nailed this video, great review.
Thank you, Vinson! 😁
Sounds way better to me great job Mike!
Thanks! Crazy what a difference that made
Nice review. You get a lot of features in a Nexxus.
We are very happy with it!
Thanks for the info! We haven't installed one yet but we are still considering it
I've driven a bunch of International Box Trucks with manual transmissions. They are SO GREAT. The trans just click from gear to gear unlike Fords where you have to search for the gear you want.
It's been a great chassis/RV for us! Always liked International
Mini splits are the bomb. Do it!
Might have to take your advice😎
@@WanderingWagners Quick question. How wide is your garage? We are getting ready to build one and the width looks ideal.
26 feet
@@WanderingWagners thanks for the info
Nice vid! I’ve been getting hammered with rain at my Massachusetts home campground where many projects have been delayed. I’m looking forward to hitting the road around Columbus Day to see some new things before settling in back in my other home RV park in East Texas.
This rain has been crazy! Our poor garden was flooded for weeks ugh
I know you did the roof repair a while back now. I have the same problem with my Wraith. Two questions. 1) how long were the bolts 2) did you drill into the steel bar? Hard to tell. Hopefully you see this.
I can't remember how long the bolts were. Measure your cab area and buy bolting material based on that. Steel was drilled into
this was the kind of review i wanted to see, well done mate, sadly i wish they were the same price now so we might have to wait a while, excellent guys, sounds like your budget was the same as ours is right now
Thanks! We tried to be as through as possible. Hopefully prices will dip a little or you can find a gently used one
All super C's are amazing to us!!
I have enjoyed watching you work your way through multiple rvs. I have had my current rig (#2) for a year and I am starting to look for the next one. Nice review.
How exciting! We do love rv shopping haha
Prices are outrageous now. You did well with the purchase..... I love renegade class C coaches.... But I don't own it due to the prices.
Same here, even when we were in the market, renegades were higher than we wanted to spend. We are very happy with this motorhome though!
The dirt can be decreased by having an outside rug. I know you don't like having one but that is why you have one.
Unless it's on sand, or rocks they kill grass and create more mud for everyone
Split AC works great. Like the AR
Thanks!😎😁
We replaced our mattress on day 1😂
I from Columbus Ohio looking to buy this coach in a 30 , dojo think the quality is.making my decision in a month
We have a 3 year review update video we shared last year if you're interested in that as well.th-cam.com/video/DbZK5iLged4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=J-VKaP30cjxri86A
My 2014 nexus Phantom has the Big Foot and is very quick leveling.
That's great! We heard of others with that system with the hydraulic fluid leaking a lot. Hopefully you don't have that!
Hopefully nothing major for you
Love the dogs!!!
Thank you!🐾♥️
#245 Thank You for your Review! I thought it was quite interesting. I own a 2014 Winnebago Trend 23B with 68,000 miles on it. I am a widower so it fits well. Great Fuel Economy, 15.7 to 15.3 mile per gallon, average.
That is great fuel economy! Glad you enjoy your motorhome. We are total motorhome converts now!😊
I love your doggers, they are happy on the road n at home n probably sleep with m n d too. 🙃 I wish I could afford one like yours, but not going to happen unless I win the lottery.
Thank you! They are very happy pups and love all the adventures we take. And you're correct, they do sleep with us😂 spoiled dogs for sure!
I would definitely consider a Nexus Wraith for my next super C. I also like the International chassis. Of course I could be bias since I farm with international tractors.
Nothing wrong with that! We'd had good luck with international
Piper was so happy to go for a ride!!🐾🐾🐾
Haha speak it into reality😂
We passed you, I see you was coming back from Indiana to Potato State Park. Was where going North to Minnesota driving a 2021 Magnitude BH35.
Nice! Weekend after July 4th we went to potato Creek after Elkhart!
@@WanderingWagners We saw the signs for Potato creek state park how did you like it?
Good insight. Thanks for sharing the information. What is the GVWR and payload capacity?
GVWR is 24,500. The payload is 4,950.
@@WanderingWagners you guys convinced me to go to a Class A.👍
Yes on the air conditioner in the garage. 😀
😎 thanks for your input!
Piper’s look while chewing on her frisbee, “Your taping means nothing to me. You can proceed.” Looking forward to watching the beginning of your journey. #newsubbie
Haha they both love to interrupt filming😜 thanks for subscribing! Forgive us for the earlier videos LOL
Nice video and nice fix.
Thank you! It made a world of difference
Mike , the ductless will be great for both heat and cool in your garage, make sure you size it right !
Thanks for the tip!
Highly recommend Mr Cool diy mini split
Thanks! I think it's in the near future😎
Can you use the bed in the rear without the slide out?
Yes
New to your channel, very informative and I’ll be sticking around to learning more! Ty both 🤗✌️🇺🇸
Thank you! We try to be as real and informative as possible. Feel free to ask us any questions you might have!😁
Thumbs up 👍 for mike good job 👏
Thanks😁👍🏻
You said your Cummins had 300hp but you didn’t say how many ft lbs of torque and the towing capacity. Thanks.
660 torque. 10,000lbs towing capacity.
