Oh man, if this turned out to be true. This makes the ending in the game more tragic. She's not humming the music box in spite of Mono destroying it. She's humming it in an attempt to calm herself after making a choice she didnt want to do.
That's one way I look at it anyway.

I dont think it would turn out to be true because the entire thing is A NIGHTMARE! It isn't real. There are only entities within the game that are real, like 6. By getting out of the nightmare they are both are telling the nightmare NO! They are both defying the nightmare, escaping it.

Mono is the thin man, the thin man controls the signal tower to get revenge on Six. The signal tower is the reason why everything including the Maw is horrifying. If the the loop were to stop happening, Mono and the Thin man wouldn’t exist, leaving no one to control the signal tower. If there were no time loop, there would be no Little Nightmares.
So by destroying it every nightmare ends!

Mono was happy though, at the end. Even while fading away he holds six and smiles. His trauma is meaningless if she goes back through that tv. She should move on and live her life as happily as she can because it's what he would have wanted.
The sad part he wants six to suffer. They were friends but the eye creature ruined the whole world and their relationship too.

If you knew what Six does at the end of very little nightmares then Mono dying even when Six saves him is even worse.
I actually thinking that at the last moment before Mono disappear, he probably thanking Six for staying with him until the end. (Remember Mono is often alone because everyone seems to hate him, which is why he wear his head cover.)

When the Little Nightmare Six lives in says
"No, I don't allow this option. Do what you're supposed to."
Now I understand everything, Six is living the same Loop over and over again to save Mono. Worse no matter what he does, how hard he tries to save him, and not to let him go ... Six will live to see the sad fate of Mono, and that is how he let him fall and thus become "THE THIN MAN"

You’d rather pick him up and see him disappear for infinity. The whole point of this video is to show it’s all a loop. Meaning no matter how many times Six saves Mono it’ll be the same ending every time. He’ll disappear and she’ll be snapped back to endure the same pain again and again and again and again...for eternity...that is too much to ask of a person. Eventually they will snap. Just like PTSD. It’s like a continuous flashback of pain. The only way to move forward is to fight the pain & find an escape out of it...sometimes for the better...sometimes for the worse 😓😢

The problem with this is we don't know what Thin man showed six when he kidnapped her or what six experienced as a monster. Perhaps she realised it's a loop that she cannot break no matter what she does or maybe she realised that mono is the thin man and she was scared that he would eventually betray her so she decided to drop him, or maybe she dropped him because she didn't want to eat him etc. I don't think it's that simple.

Dang this was some good animation. I actually almost cried. This ending would’ve been better bc the fans would feel better about it such as myself. When she dropped him I thought she was just betraying him, but if they added this scene before she dropped him then it would’ve been more tragic and the ending would’ve felt better I guess. Or maybe they can add it as a DLC giving reason behind why six dropped mono and that she’s also in a time loop. Man I hope when they make the 3rd game the protagonist destroys the signal tower and mono comes back to six or something. I liked mono as a protagonist though. He’s super cool 😎

As sad as this is, i like it for the game, because it makes what Six does to Mono seem more like a mercy rather than a resentful act.
It hits a lot when you realise the soundtrack for when Mono fades away is when both Mono and Six first meet.

I know six betrays mono at the end of the game but would just fade away since the control tower needs power to stay alive and the control tower die the loop would end but what happen the people were stuck in the loop
My theory would be , the control tower send this to Six , a piece of the futur and what would happen, in the end she choose to let him trapped but still alive

When I thought I've already moved on from this game, yet I see this and cry once again...
The fact that no one, not even a single soul in the world of little Nightmares is even allowed to be happy makes this story even more sad. this world they live in is nothing but Death & Misery.

It’s poetic in a way. We were hungry for another one, a possibility for a brighter future. When really we only wanted what six wanted: Mono.; with this, they heard and they listened.
And what we learned is that nightmares never truly end without taking everything it created, even the most beautiful thought, with it.

THEORY/INTERPRETATION BASED ON THE GIVEN ANIMATIONS:
This is the very start of the time loop. Six saves Mono, but he dies because he originally wasn't supposed to be saved. Six couldn't live with the fact that she just watched her best friend die and forcefully went back. The second time she had to save Mono, she still had her memories of the past and dropped Mono, half-aware that he may not die from that drop. She mainly just couldn't bare to watch her best friend die again. However, Mono didn't understand why Six had dropped him and was deeply hurt. So, after he grew up, that's when the Thin Man first came to be, leading to the time loop. But rather than Six not wanting to watch her best friend die again, she saw that Mono was the Thin Man and dropped him. However, Six always regretted it and hated herself for doing that to her best friend, but she knew there was no going back. And because it's a time loop, Mono and Six likely don't know what happens to them, and that's what keeps the time loop going on and on.
There's one way to stop the loop, destroy the tower..
Plausible theory. One problem, though.

They could make 3 games- the 2 we have now and then six finally ending the cycle...Or they do things differently (for example, instead of going into the hospital and school etc.. they go through a hotel and sky scraper) but it still ends the exact same, In a continuous loop

To my understanding, the moment Six drops Mono is where the loop ends, with Mono becoming the Thin Man. If Mono were saved, the Thin Man couldn't exist because Mono wouldn't become him. Even if he exists at every point in time, saving Mono would create a new timeline where the Thin Man never did any of the things he did. Without knowing what the signal tower is or where it came from, I can't say things will just snap back to normal, but it's what I would hope would happen.
In end, it makes sense for LN as a whole.
A: You can break the cycle and let your emotions take control. Restart the cycle.
B: Don’t don't break the cycle and events restart.
C: Unless you switch places and a new story begins. (This should be LN 3 story)

It's sad to see that not only do we get hints for what Mono's fate is, he's forced to become the opposite of who he originally was. Even Six deserves better like Mono. These two kids have been through hell on Earth with one becoming the opposite of himself and the other being the only survivor left alive when it came to kids.

I really like this, the fact that Six was also in a loop from saving would explain her sinister face when she first gets up. She's grieving and dropping mono maybe she feels he has a chance to live cause saving him for sure kills him.

I've been watching your animations for 30 times in a row!
So basically, they are doomed to the nightmare world. No matter what happens Mono will become Thin Man, and Six will get caught by the hunter again. I saw a fan fiction about this once, basically they were doomed to repeat the same events over and over with knowledge of what was happening, kind like Little Misfortune. In the fanfic Mono and Six eventually did break the loop. I'm not going to say how though in case Pol decides to follow this fan fiction.

I actually love the idea of Six having to constantly live the time loop to make sure she either drops Mono or takes him through the TV to watch him disappear
Even now when it's years later these amazing videos still manage to make me feel more sad about that ending. I've seen people make a lot of interesting stuff with little nightmares and this is no exception.
When i watched this animation, i cried 15 times.
Don't these two deserve a good ending, and everything will always come to an end in the tower? And I was so happy when everything ended well in the last video :(

So maybe the other 6 kids (because I'm not sure if mono is part of the 7 )will play a big part on stopping the loop and saving mono and like that all of them will be freed from the nightmare they are all in.
