I imagine Band on the Run will see an anniversary half-speed LP, and I really really hope the archive collection continues cohesively with London Town, Back to the Egg, and Off the Ground. It's been a beautiful series re: design and content and those remaining albums, for me, are eagerly awaited!

@@TheSchemel Basically you are paying for remastering and out takes but how many versions of the same album do you need? If they issued the out takes on their own at a lower price I think they would have more sales then trying to get a cash grab. Back in the day I picked up a lot of bootleg CD's with both Beatles and solo out takes, now I just search them out online, way too expensive to buy these massive box sets.

    • @TheSchemel
      @TheSchemel ปีที่แล้ว

@barry smith I agree with you. After John died, other than Live in New York City and Menlove Ave. It seemed every album after that was a variation of Shaved Fish. I do like the sound quality of these new releases, though. You're right that they should put out an album of just outtakes and demos. I, too, have a lot of bootlegs, and I know that the Beatles have a lot more outtakes that could be released. Paul and George both have a lot of material that has never been released legally. I will say this, though: I do like having the hard copy for my collection.

    • @barryk1701
      @barryk1701 ปีที่แล้ว

@@TheSchemel Thanks George. I agree the sound quality does improve but at what point are you satisfied with it? Once all the Beatles and solo works are released in the deluxe box form (with the extra's) what's next? Super master remasters, Super digital remasters, Super digitals remix remasters? And so on and so on. I know there are some really hard core fans out there willing to spend vast amounts of money but when is it enough? I'm guessing it's a personal choice and more power to those who will buy copy after copy of the same album with new variations but I'm not one of them. I'd rather buy the odd album, 45 single, or CD off of E-bay for a decent price than shell out a lot of money for
something I have already. Completing A Beatles collection is almost an impossible feat!

I had the good fortune to see Laurence Juber do an electric Wings show this past weekend. He played many songs from Back to the Egg, including Rockestra. All I could think about was a Back to the Egg archive release. The show was GREAT, by the way.

Andrew you have a popular forum here for Beatles fans. Your shows are excellent, informative and fun. Pauls people know this . They know we all want the London Town/Back to the Egg in deluxe archives. The demand is huge . I wish we really knew the real reason why it’s not being done!

I really want to see the Archive continue. At least London Town, Back to the Egg, Broadstreet, Press to Play and Off the Ground. I still think those all make sense to happen in it. Maybe they should scale back the packaging more like the Tug of War and Pipes of Peace releases. I would however like to see a special Band on the Run release for the 50th. But that does get tricky and could kill off the Archive as we know it.

Hi Andrew, A great video as always & a great take on a subject close to all us fans hearts & although I do agree with you on principle surely there is only so many times you can re-release the same albums as everything recorded has been in previous releases! Another negative is the price of these box sets are going through the roof & even to buy Paul's previous Archive sets some are 5 or 6 times the price now as what they were at the time!!!

I agree that BOTR would be a great opportunity to reboot (if not jettison) the whole concept of an Archive Collection. Way too many fans missed out on the previous Archive releases to care about the series, and it seems nuts to go into the 50th anniversary of the best selling album of Paul's post-Beatles career with announcements for London Town and BTTE. Meanwhile, there's a whole generation of fans with more modern tastes whose favorite albums are things like Chaos and Creation and Memory Almost Full, and they aren't served at all by the Archive Collection.

    • @beatleytonesbeatleschannel
      @beatleytonesbeatleschannel ปีที่แล้ว +3

From what I understand the Archive collection was conceived as a joint venture between Paul's music and Linda's photos and for me that says that their won't be any Archive Collections in the series for the albums that happened after Linda's death. The series ends chronologically with Flaming Pie

I certainly hope it continues! I think it’s so odd that we were told it would continue via his concert program last year (was it last year?) and then nothing happened. I don’t think people would get upset if they decided to re-release the Band on the Run, McCartney, and Venus and Mars archive collections because those early book-types don’t fit the template of what came afterward. Honestly, if we get any archive collection at all this year, I’ll be happy.

Very good thoughts Andrew, my thoughts are: I'll take anything at this point ! There is too much of his catalog that you cannot get ( at a decent price) and I would very much like to compete his catalog. You are right about the early versions being sort of skimpy but my thinking is he will continue on as is, at a snails pace it seems! Take care.

Not interested in another Band on the Run release. Because we have had to wait so long, I think this summer we need a Wings 1977-1981 boxed set with EVERYTHING. This release should be followed this Christmas with a Paul McCartney 1984-1988 boxed with Broadstreet, Press, Pepperland, Spies and the Russian album at least.

If they do a 50th anniversary box set for BOTR, it must have more outtakes, and a brand new remix of the album, a 5.1 Blu ray disc at the very least.

Agreed. A remix is the main thing for me. A simple gatefold 2LP with a nice booklet, including the album remix on disc 1 + b-sides and outtake/demos on disc 2 would be all I want. Don't need a $300 box set, and don't need to rebuy the same mix of the album.

Hi Andrew thank you for pointing me towards the recent Laurence Juber two hour online discussion. That discussion explained why London Town/Back to The Egg/Rockestra/Concert for Campuchia is such a difficult boxed set to compile. Clearing the rights for all the Rockestra material/musicians must be a headache, 1978 to 1981 was a pivotal phase in McCartney's personal and creative life at multiple levels-how to explain that? And with so much material to put out and package properly what are the chances of too many fans saying 'It looks wonderful but it costs too much'? With that much material it should perhaps be two boxed sets....

This is. A interesting thought , yesterday I was in my local record store Dave the store owner I were discussing exactly the same topic last week the Universal Rep came to his store he posed the question there is nothing at present for Beatles after the forthcoming Rubber Soul even the 60th anniversary for Please Please Me has not happened , with regards to Macca there is nothing planned at present even for London Town / Back to the egg even as legalities have been sorted Macca now has rights to these ! I did learn the recent John Lennon RSD singles Box Gimmie the Truth only 300 copies were allocated to the UK .

I'd welcome a 50th Anniversary new boxset of Band on the Run. I've only recently purchased the original Archive Collection version as I was late to the boxset collecting party and its great but a bit more basic to the other larger boxsets as was McCartney 1 & 2. So I'd definitely take a bigger boxset with additional material. Will definitely be interesting to see what if anything they do to celebrate it

Thanks for that thought-provoking piece, Andrew.
I think a lot of us were nodding in places there. Maybe we all have slightly different priorities but essentially I think we are all in a similar zone.
My personal view is that perhaps they need to limit the price so as to not disenfranchise those on a limited budget. Some single album sets are now getting a bit uncomfortable financially for many and you highlight the Flaming Pie large set.
While I have loved the care taken with some of the reproduced items, lyrics, photos etc. in some of these sets I can't help but feel that they have taken the sets into a region that the average fan cannot justify springing for, especially in today's economic climate.
What I think most people would tick in the essential boxes are:
A well produced book telling the story of the album with a wealth of imagery, including photos, artwork, documents etc.
The album perhaps remastered or remixed (hopefully including both options in the case of a remix for completeness.
A wealth of outtakes/alternatives. As you rightly point out the Lennon sets have been very generous and imaginative on this front.
Include video items if appropriate (and in full if possible rather than excerpts that just make us want to see the whole thing).
It may not be top of everyone's list but a surround option is a nice addition and offers an alternative listening experience.
Moving on. Band On The Run. Yes, the original Archive set now feels underpowered and an expanded music selection would be very welcome, including demos and outakes etc.
That does create a dilemma though with what you do with past and future releases and how you market them. What has happened is that the Archive Collection started a little early and before the SDE concept and expectations solidified. The idea was sound but the scope is now considered skimpy, particularly in terms of the music included.
We definitely need London Town, Back To The Egg, Press To Play etc.
Paul's releases in recent years, in my opinion, have been very confused and confusing. The massive number of options for recent albums such as Egypt Station and McCartney III have been excessive, unnecessary and wasteful. I'm not convinced by the singles box. It did not seem to be one thing or another. Not complete and a bit confused in terms of what it was trying to do.
I'm getting very choosy now in what I buy. That never used to be the case with Paul McCartney. It all seems a bit scatter-gun rather than focused.
Anyway. Thanks again for the views and platform. Well worthy of a discussion.

I think Universal is worried about sales when it comes to releases like this. With the Flaming Pie ultra deluxe that hasn't sold, it'll probably have a big price drop before the remaining copies are returned to Universal and destroyed, which is what happens with most unsold albums these days. There is also a push to get rid of CDs all together, at least from retailer's perspective, so CD box sets aren't as attractive to retailers as they once were. Vinyl on the other hand is doing really well so that is likely to be the focus going forward with CD sets becoming a more limited thing as time goes on. When there's unsold sets lying around already, that makes it less of a priority for the record company to get the next one out. I can only speak from an Australian perspective based on what I've been seeing where I work. Hopefully though, Sir Paul will have enough pull to get these things released. It also depends where his priorities lie. He may have something new that he's more focused on getting ready for release rather than going back through his archives. He's also been busy with the Revolver set, the Get Back project, touring and who knows what else as he's always been something of a workaholic. But I'd say if anyone is holding back future sets, it'd most likely be Universal. I think Paul would still want to release them even if they only sold a handful of copies because he cares more about the art than the money, but Universal is very much motivated by profit.
As for redoing previous collections, something I've seen featured from other artists is a full live show from that era that has never been released before. Not just a live album which has been touched up in the studio, but a real, raw live recording, essentially like a bootleg. Neil Young has had success releasing these separately but bands like Black Sabbath have been including them in their box sets. That could be something worthwhile for a new Band On The Run set, maybe even with a DVD which could also feature music videos and TV appearances. It would be great to hear the original demos if indeed Paul does still have a copy. Given that The Beatles tended to be rather obsessive with keeping everything, I can't imagine he's gotten rid of it. He might have trusted Universal with the master tapes in which case they may have been lost in the fire, but I doubt that. I'd say they're still in his personal collection.

Just finished up with the "Legacy" book, wow, what a great read indeed. In fact Seiwell claims that back up tape that was stolen off the McCartney's was BETTER than what actually was recorded on the LP. Well this of course could be sour grapes, but would Paul actually want to put out something BETTER than he recorded with Linda and Denny Laine? I highly doubt it. Even though Macca did give Seiwell a kind of bonus I believe 12 K in dollars or 5 K in pounds for his troubles, I'm very upset that Seiwell and McCullough stiffed Paul right before they were going to Africa to record. But that's just me, I'm a loyal kind of guy and that was so wrong what they did. Anyway the book was so good could hardly put it down it was 30 pages of reading almost every day for me. So much info I never knew, and I thought I knew a lot:-) thanks Andrew!! God Bless!

When Tug of War was announced I jumped on Amazon and ordered the set, without realising I’d ordered the limited one (I think there were only 1000 made) - I just remembering that it seemed more expensive than previous archive releases. Hey Andrew, very interesting to hear your thoughts and very interesting to read all the comments. It´s really nice to see that one is not alone in the macca fan zone. Well, here´s one thought by me. The Archive Edition Series is highly influenced by Paul´s own emotions that he has for the particular albums. He clearly picks up "Flowers..." and "Flaming Pie" because he has a positive vibe around these albums compared to "Back To The Egg" or "Press To Play". So I think there will be an archive edition of "London Town" and "Back To The Egg" and then the series will end. Paul will not enjoy revisiting Off The Ground, Broad Street or Press To Play. So I think - and this a sad thing to consider - that the reissue campaign will include other ideas after Paul left us.

A few months back I found that you made a very astute point in discussion the Paul McCartney Singles Box set where you surmised that the reason why that particular collection was firstly issued instead of an archive collection and why it was also issued as a very limited edition. The gist of your point seemingly was that the archive collection needs to be marketed towards more of a mainstream market which would not allow for the exorbitant price point that the Singles Box set carried and I believe you are absolutely correct. There is little doubt in my mind that both the pandemic and the recession has affected The McCartney Archive Collection in an adverse way. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the TH-cam content creator Melinda Murphy but she made a point in a recent video that as recently as five years ago consumers were purchasing expensive music at an appreciable clip but the pandemic/recession has now slowed down that acquisition phase for most consumers. While many major artists continue to conduct business blissfully ignorant to what the market will bear, I do believe that in the case of The McCartney Archive Edition what was feasible five years ago as a mainstream price point is no longer reasonable and this may be why we have not seen a post-pandemic release in this particular series. MPL could very well be waiting for the economy to rebound before issuing a mainstream "bells and whistles" collection. I should stipulate however that this is all pontification on my part and isn't based on any inside knowledge, so I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if we do see another archive edition by year's end.

I already have 'Band On On The Run' three times and have no need or desire to buy it a fourth time. I didn't need it the third time either actually, but I caved when the last box set was released.
So unless the lost demo tapes surface I'm rather 'Band On The Run'd' out.

I've heard that Paul's not that interested in spatial audio much, so I'm not sure if they'll go down that route. Pink Floyd dropped their 50th anniversary version of DSotM and it wasn't totally well-received (cost and content). Truth is, Paul has loads of material in the vault and that's been one of the best parts of exploring these sets. "Press" had work he did with Phil Ramone in sessions that were eventually scrapped. There is still so much material, and video content, that could be shared with the fans. These Archive releases have even won Grammys - so I really hope he doesn't abandon the project.

Also don't forget in the 70s Band on the run and Venus and Mars were mixed in Quad stereo along with Imagine and Goodnight Venia on 8 track. These are genuine mixes. Imagine was released in the new box set.

I feel like there will just be a half speed master on the BOTR anniversary and then the London Town and Back To The Egg archive down the road. I think, like with Ram, Paul hears through the grapevine that Press To Play is a lot more popular among fans now than maybe at the time of release. So that will happen after the others. And then maybe an Off The Ground archive. I don’t see a Broad Street archive happening but I would be happy to be wrong. The question then becomes, and of course we all wish Paul a long long healthy life, but he will be looking at almost his mid 80s around then. I’m sure he has made his wishes known for how to carry on with his music. I just wonder who will it be. I don’t get the feeling like with Sean and Dhani, that his kids (or Nancy) would be on top of that other than just agreeing to follow his wishes. Plus, will there really be any remastering of music from the 2000’s? It will be interesting to see.

Completely agree with you, and adding my opinion, BOTR can be released as a “stand alone” 50th anniversary edition and keep the flow with Back to the Egg and London Town as a normal archive collection. Meaning the BOTR 50th may contain tons of extras. If you see, archive collection took a different direction with Flowers on the dirt and Flaming pie, maybe since Red Rose + Wild Life with the addition of demos and unreleased takes. Previous to these was the album + singles + live tracks (sometimes). After complete the reading of McCartney Legacy book the first things came to my mind was these extras and orchestrations not only of BOTR but also RAM. Even archive of RAM is full of non-music extras, it is still just the album and the singles + mono and thrillington…but imagine that work in progress that took much more time than BOTR…anyways my 2 cents

Hi Andrew. Always enjoy your discussions on Paul and the Archive collections. Plus I love the collections themselves and have nearly all of them. You mentioned on another video that you doubted Paul would ever do an Archive on Driving Rain since he wouldn't want to relive that period of his life. I'm thinking this is the reason for the absence of London Town and Back to the Egg. From what I've heard, Wings was falling apart at that time, with various members leaving and Paul ready to disband the group anyway. So I'm thinking Paul wouldn't want to revisit that period of his career. Press to Play and Give My Regards to Broad Street are lesser albums that arguably wouldn't merit Archive releases. Paul is 80, soon to be 81, and I can't imagine him wanting to take "second looks" at any of the Archive collections already released. So my hunch--and it's just a hunch--is that the Archives are done

Hi Frederick, you may be right, we shall see! I think one big thing in favour of London Town and Back To The Egg is it's still part of the Paul and Linda story, which seems to be a massive part of the archive collections, let's hope they happen soon!

I already have the 1/2 speed vinyl for BOTR, when it was offered on the Columbia label.
What should have been done with the albums (up to Flaming Pie….because after that the rest are shite) is a proper remix ala the Ono box set. Which really spotlights the amazing recording quality and performance of the pieces.
But being as “he” has been tone deaf and lost his voice after FP, I really can’t see that happening.
As with John, we’ll probably have to wait until he’s gone for any sonic improvements to happen. The entire Lennon catalog shines on the digital remixes Yoko oversaw decades ago.

@AndrewDixonMusic - Nah, I think MPL should commit to all releases up until 97. Even if we got archival 2CD special editions of Give My Regards To Broad Street (w/ blu-ray film), Press To Play, and Off The Ground.
I would be happy with slim deluxe editions of London Town and Back To The Egg, similar to the deluxe Band On The Run with 3CDs and a DVD/Bluray.
In terms of a 50th anniversary of Band On The Run, they shouldn’t lump it in or reboot the Archive series. I agree that MPL will jump on the remix band wagon, but in terms of bonus material, it’ll be interesting to see if they will take the Lennon or Harrison (ATMP) route….

If there is extra material for Band on the Run that would be nice, but maybe avoid calling it Archive Collection as we already have one of those. However, they have had opportunities to do this in the past, and the Archive release of 2011 is identical to the 25th anniversary release of 1998 (except the addition of the One Hand Clapping dvd).
I hadn’t realise the big Flaming Pie sold so poorly - but it was a pricey set. I suspect they won’t do that again. I’d have preferred if all releases were the book style of the first few, as that would have looked nice on a shelf, but I guess things evolve.

I mean these archives have been great but when the Beatles start coming out with the remixes they really took off and now Paul is got all these archives that are out that are not remixed so what do you do? Start all over again and start remixing all of Mac's albums, I don't know. I'm 67 years old so they need to start doing something fairly quick 😂.

Hello Andrew (i'm from Argentina so in advance you'll have to forgive me for my weak english speaking haha). Anyway, I think that the strenght of Paul's Archive Collection has to do with the graphics, the pictures, the way the books are designed, etc. But in terms of the audio they are very, veeeery poor. But I think (and this is just my opinion) that Paul wants all the attention of the media and fans (and their money) to be foccused in his new releases (as it happened with New, ES or McCartney III) and that if he'd release deluxes with the same level of quality and information (demos, outtakes, rehearsals, etc) than the reissues of George, John or The Beatles, they will indirectly steal sells from his new records; therefore I think that the main difference for why the reissues of John and Geroge's discography are way much better than Paul's is that unfortunately they aren't here any more to edit new albums. So Dhani, Yoko, Sean or whoever is in charge of the creation of them, will try to launch as much as possible whereas Paul edits just "little pieces".

    • @AndrewDixonMusic
      @AndrewDixonMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

Interesting video. One thing you didn't mention is when the Archive Collections started it was on Hear Now/Concord private label. With the last release Flaming Pie it was the first on Capitol/EMI/Universal which he re-signed with. We got most albums re-released on limited color vinyl and the Singles Box. So I would think a redo is most likely going to happen as Mastering Technology has gotten a lot better than when these were first released. I would think we would get a 50th Anniversary for Band On The Run which was his first album to hit Number 1 in the US. See how that goes and see what happens. I would rather have titles never given the Archive treatment like Give My Regards To Broadstreet, which besides opinion is one of my favorite of his collection, than going back and re-releasing. Not sure but the series has been at a Crossroads for many years. The other option which is not favorable is he aligns with the market on remixing and doing Anniversary releases moving forward and ends the Archive series. Also I would bet Band On The Run Half-Speed Master will be released for Black Friday either standard or RSD Black Friday Release.

My suggestion for a renewal or extension of the "Archive" brand is, MPL might offer a surround sound of all McCartney albums. Not in an expensive super deluxe package, but as a single Blu-ray that is financially affordable.
And when I write "surround sound", I don't mean a rudimentary mix like the Beatles albums, but a mix that exploits the possibilities of the technology, meaning: crisp sound from all four corners. - What do you think about it?

    • @AndrewDixonMusic

I agree with your assessment of what a Band on the Run at 50 edition could be like. Based on the McC Legacy book, there should be content galore. The old-Wings Rude Studios demo’s, yes, but I wouldn’t mind hearing the state of affairs at the time new-Wings left Nigeria. Yes, they could have delivered a more rounded Archive Collection edition first time around, but nevermind, I don’t think MPL set out to sell the product an extra time over. Progressive insight… And I also have a soft spot for Press to Play. Begs for a Press to Play- Reimagined edition.

I really liked and thoroughly enjoyed Laurence speaking on the variety of life-changing moments with Wings in the studio and Living on the farm in Scotland. Back to the Egg box set is the most sought after for McCartney fans. Band on the Run should go another direction because of the audience that this album has. There is a host of non-Beatles fans that enjoy Band on the Run world wide. It encompasses more potential and is regarded as "better" than many Beatles songs, Paul and Denny doing what Paul and John did on Sgt. Pepper, Band on the Run is much like that. Why Beatles collectors have not named this album as the best album is beyond belief. But for many fans of other groups like Pink Floyd, Band On the Run 50th Anniversary should have a unique box set and yet affordable for the general public because this album has more room for sales from a host of people from all walks of life. The orchestration on 1985 for example is a good idea. A total remix of the whole album is as important as Revolver, in my opinion. It's their best songs and efforts. Thank you, for the updates and I like your idea of affordability brings home a better sales and better product. The original Band on the Run box set is one of the best products, hard to beat that one. Take care.

Great video Andrew. What would I do? Well, take Tom Petty Live at the Fillmore 1997 which came out recently. There was an expensive 4 CD release, but also a 2 CD release which was affordable to a lot more people. I think this should be the strategy for the McCartney releases going forward. Offer a 'budget' version with perhaps the remix and bonus tracks, and an expanded version, more in detail, more extras, for the ones that can afford it. I think we'll see a 50th anniversary 'Band on the Run' release - too good an opportunity to miss, after that - with 'new archive' releases released after that to tie in with anniversaries (so in 2024, it's the 45th anniversary of Back to the Egg which could come next - can't see them releasing Give My Regards early on into a new series!). We shall see! There's still a market for CD's etc when done right! Look at the Now Yearbooks - they've been really popular, and they're compilations! But they've done regular releases, a cheaper release and a more expensive release for different budgets....

I too always speculate what’s next etc. It’s a brilliant idea to give Botr Extended treatment on 50th and then give The Big Egg box same treatment. Possibly Press to play after that, it surely have the material for it. Or even The Big Pressed Regards box, with the movie and everything. Some very interesting thoughts here Andrew, but there's one thing you haven't mentioned. Since Paul started with these sets The Beatles, John Lennon and George Harrison have been releasing their own box sets, most of these all coming at the end of the year so plenty of competition. They haven’t done anything special for the other 50th anniversary albums other than the half-speed vinyl editions. If that’s all they do for Band on the Run, I would be fine with that. But I would also bite if they decided to do a “super deluxe” box set as well… especially if those demos surface. My fear is that it could dilute or even kill the remaining “Archive” releases if they start re-visiting albums they’ve already done. Sadly, they’ve wasted too much time between archive releases. They should have been doing 1-2 per year until they were done.

I think a key problem is that the archive collection in their modern form practically loose money and have a large retail price tag (which people don’t like). On top of being jealous of Andrew's shelving,....
I hope Paul/MPL keeps putting out the Archive Collection series. A series reboot would be annoying to those of us who have already bought the sets, although I got McCartney and McCartney II for a steal ($40 each) at the time, so if they were revamped, I wouldn't be overly disappointed.
I do think there are a few things missing over all: a) the lack of the lyrics for the non-album tracks (I have scanned what was released from the Paul McCartney Collection discs and/or All The Best!, as well as the logo each song was given inside ATB!, printed that all out, and put the pages in the corresponding collection); b) a few songs left off from the Paul McCartney Collection CDs and the Japanese "Special Edition" of Flowers In The Dirt (which I hope they work into the remaining 70s/80s Archive Collections, since (IMHO) if these are replacing the previous series (which weren't released in the States in the first place), they should be encompassing all the music; c) maybe a collection of all the mixes (from "Say Say Say" to "Rough Ride", which may free up space on the AC edition of Press To Play; d) a physical album for the no-longer-available downloads from the PaulMcCartney.com site; and maybe e) the artwork/photos that are no longer available from Wings Greatest and All The Best! incorporated into London Town and Press To Play, respectively (and hoping the versions of "Once Upon A Long Ago" show up in the latter Archive Collection.

Part of me thinks it's over. The price of these boxes is out of step with the times. You also have to consider how many physical units these releases actually shift. What's the return on the investment? Using McCartney 3 is an example it only shifted about 33,000 units. And that was only because of people buying multiple formats. The numbers of people who might buy an Archive Release is decreasing. Frankly some of the audience is dying off, some are just giving up. I personally sold off all my physical music recently and won't be buying anymore. It's a financial liberation.

As far as remixing is concerned, if i would choose just one Paul album to remix, i would choose “Venus & Mars” compare that album with the live album “Wings Over America” and you’ll understand why.

Oh definitely Venus and Mars sounds like it could do with a remix, it's like having a duvet wrapped over the speakers !

@@AndrewDixonMusic i just bought the album on vinyl record for the first time but i haven’t got a good turntable to play it on. According to another youtuber TJR, it sounds awsome! in fact it seems that’s the only way to listen to that album is on vinyl, he even compared to the remixed CD too. (even though the CD has its pros over the vinyl) and i think it was even an old pressing. here’s a link… th-cam.com/video/vyX5nOuBxiY/w-d-xo.html

Great video, Andrew. Personally would simply prefer to see BTTE and LT released as hoped, but do like your theory of MPL potentially taking the opportunity to reboot. Time will tell, as always!
