We're compelled by all the advertising to overshop in mass weekly shopping trips to the usual supermarkets. Encouraging the public to shop daily for local fresh produce in local stores would reduce consumer food waste and maybe revive a bit of our trashed economy. Simply buy less perishables at a time and get a dog.
