The video shows the process of design and manufacture of large rail slider from standard parts, purchased at retail, at a total cost of less than $ 20.

Then I went to the local special stock markets and there in the tent, where they sell furniture accessories, saw a very interesting, steel, chrome tube length 3 meters. The seller said he could on the spot to cut the tube in half. It was exactly what you need to start the project.
On the same day sketched drawing of the slider, the basis of which I took this same pipe and steel mounting plates that are looked after on the same market in a tent hardware products. Then, when looking for fasteners, I saw the same plate and in DIY stores.
It took quite a lot of fasteners for the manufacture of the slider, but then the slider turned noble. Glidetrack has a very easy way and uniform motion. This eliminates the need for electric carriage when shooting videos. It is enough to tilt the rails a few degrees to the slider even started moving.

DoItYourself, what an amazing and precisely done vid. You do amazing work. The only comment I would make though, is 'Flathead' screws? My gosh, that is 300 year old American tech, and so old school, I was smiling all the way through you using them!. Robertson screws ( Canadian invention too! ) are the ticket for kit like this. I live in a poor country - Moldova. When I'm in the US, I buy only inch screws and nuts, because we do not have them on sale. Metric screws and nuts are much cheaper here than with the USA.

Вам на заметку * Используйте один бакгроунд при сьемке видео а то тески на сером дрель на красном а все остальное на белом Все на белом было бы намного гармоничней и профессиональней Снимайте все на белом !!! В остальном очень не плохо есть еще недоработки в очередности планов и детали но Вы в правильном направлении развивайтесь...Успехов и процветания!
Спасибо за критику! Тиски и дрель просто были в другой локации, а подходящего фона там не было. Я до сих пор ещё испытываю недостаток бэкрграундов. Вернусь домой, прикуплю новые, а то даже те что есть уже серьёзно повреждены.

I didn’t have such a slider then and I had to use Time Remapping in the Adobe Premiere program. Chromakey is not required for this.

Ничего крупного я уже много лет не конструирую, а когда что-то по серьёзнее делал, то тоже в этой комнате. До покупки текущей квартиры, снимал другие квартиры, на там с местом было ещё хуже. Слайдер же этот весь из готовых деталей, купленных на местном рынке. Думал и чертил долго. Но если бы не нужно было снимать процесс, то собрал бы за день. Ещё есть сарай, размером с эту же комнату. Вот его наличие и позволяет поддерживать относительный порядок в жилом помещении. А инструмент почти весь ещё советского производства и вы его тоже можете увидеть в роликах. Меня нередко за него критикуют - мол некрасивый, колхозный.

These pipes are attached to the walls of the wardrobe. Hangers with clothes are hung on these pipes. So the pipes can support a lot of weight, even though these pipes are quite thin.

Однако вы не привели пример слайдере, который имели в виду. Когда я взялся за этот проект, я смотрел в сети и ничего подобного не нашёл. Заметьте, мой слайдер имеет длину 1500мм. Согласен с тем, что можно сделать было и проще, но вот насчёт дешевле... В этом я сильно сомневаюсь. Бюджетные решения это как раз мой конёк. Why don't you people start by showing the CAD or design of the item which you are making. We are not interested in getting entertained by your visual smart shots...!
I do not know Auto CAD, but I can work in Cinema 4D. Creating a model in Cinema 4D takes a lot of time and resources from the computer when rendering. In addition, 3d visualization still loses shooting by a dynamic camera. To do both 3d and complex shooting I just do not have enough time.

Im so sorry to say it... The reasons it is usually called cameras sliders is not only because it can slide a camera and that is all... You do have to learn and understand (in camera view on slider) before making videos tutorial. Otherwise you display bad knowledge like bad teacher which don't know they are bad.
Cameras sliders suppose to slide cameras without making a noise like yours and at slow speed enough. But yours, even under your opera song blasted, U can hear heavy metal noise when you action slide. And slider have to be slow to have smooth recordings not to bump in at this end... Most of cameras have delayed when recording fast actions but pick up noise very well especially closely to them. Sorry but puting rack on 2 metal pipes is not sliders for cameras but for chuchu train games

I can assume that you have a very vague idea about the film industry. When recording video, sound and video are always written separately. For this purpose, when recording video, they use a clapperboard.
If you mean home videos, then it does not need to have additional equipment. It is enough to have a smartphone.

It is made of $ 25 carbon fiber tube and the dolly is made of heavy pvc part... the wheels are made of rubber gum. I put rubber gum at both end too as shock absorber.... I add a $ 12 (20 theeth timing) pulley whell at both end too and a ( 5m gt2 timing) beld to manually control the dolly and to make smooth video recordings. I use a $125 ( osmo mobile 2) gimbal to reduce vibration, for time lapse and face tracking. I was thinking motoris the dolly with adriano but honestly my knowledge of programming is definitely not good ( I just realise that ) at all so I gave up. But motorise the the entire thing was the main reason I looked up you video to found out the friction of metal dolly against metal tube each other sound like "ffffffwwwweeeeeeeeeee tacccck..". No offense

You didn't separate your video from the audio yourself. And it is a camera on a tripod far from you slider that pick up the noise, which mean it is so heavy that a micro even far will record it anytime you action slide. Do understand too that, sometimes it will be your dslr on the track that will record both the audio and video... Just put rubber gum wheel and a plastic dolly to fix it.
Yes, the motor can be useful especially when moving the carriage vertically. I have to use a counterweight to ensure a smooth camera motion. If I need, I will install the motor. It is simple and for this Arduino is not at all necessary.
But lately, I have been using a slider that I haven’t yet shown on my channel. It is more versatile and allows you to move the camera along an arbitrary path. It looks a bit like this slider: th-cam.com/video/m6ATlNSg_1k/w-d-xo.html but more advanced. He has a leash to change direction and is much easier to turn into the platform to create VR-Object.
