I put in agri tech multispecies crop in May in 2 4 acre paddock. A great success so far.cows love it and milk well.no fert requires.its plantain chicory red and white clover and 4 a grass.worth a go.
Ploughing can be a pleasure if its all going right. You have the drone video now which will also help you set the Plough. Cracking tractors that I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for an older one maby replace the 135. Nice work 👏 👌 stay safe 🏴
Dosent look to bad, thinking of the gras that shows, could also be on how deep u go👍🏻, no worries, youst needs a good harrow to get rid of the gras before seeding🤩
I always. Plough both ways and use the landleveler, with no skims you could use chains tied on to the leg to help pull over the furrows. But overall not bad considering you have no land wheel! Run of a roller would.make a great job before harrowing..
Great job. We reseeded a field last year without burning off. Grazed it 6 weeks to the day after reseeding. Great way to get a field back into the rotation quickly
No need for power harrow. Roll it first, then leveller with pin harrow chained on behind. Put the bucket on loader and lift the biggest stones as you go
Plough does a nice job. Just wondering y you don't you open up in the middle and work to side instead of reversing back and to Plough in both directions
Fair play to you, ploughing the likes of that grassy sward is never easy. Looking at the drone footage I'm guessing you could have the skimmers doing a bit more work. Not trying to undermine your great work, only trying to pass on a bit of my experience. Stick to a 3 furrow if you're not doing a whole lot of plough work.
Hi Tom new subscriber here, I’m no expert at ploughing by any bodies estimation but just a thought re the middle furrow going a little light, try stopping in the middle of a stroke with the plough in the ground and measure the width that your disc’s are cutting. If the middle one is narrow the slice that it misses will peel over the shin of your second furrow and add volume to your third furrow. Could be completely wrong so if someone who knows would leave a comment we could both learn a little something today!
Just found your channel there today, have to say you have great videos on the channel, keep up the good work 👍 from Tyrone myself
Good video Tom. Mighty job

Ploughing is great but what about the joy of picking stones
not a stone in sight, good ground
Nothin' to it - but to do it ! good video

How I learned to do it really but your idea sounds good
3 furrow reversible would be sound. Save runnin up the field after every run?
Is the date for ploughing grass not closed?
Or is that derogation farmers? Remember reading something about that in the journal.
Great bit of soil there Tom! Nice vid good man 👍

I agree, skimmers need to be a bit lower, otherwise not bad work..

Ya can turn the cutter around
👌
What kind of verity do you have rye grasses clover?
Perennial Rye grasses mostly with a small bit of Timothy and white clover
Do you use contractors for any work or do you do it all yourselves? Thanks for the video👍🚜
All myself
Did you spray it off first
No I didn’t
Ya need your skimmers down
Was going to say that but could only see discs an no skimmer bodies 🤔
Your skims arms need to be lowered. There not doing anything
