She is so inspiring. I absolutely love to listen to her speak about opera. Her passion is so infectious and she is mesmerizing to watch. Joyce is beyond talented and I can’t get enough of her. Talk about powerful...
Joyce Didonato is a clever woman in that she puts her opera across to the audience in such an engaging and exciting way. Fantastic singing! A very refreshing approach-thank you!
Of course I Love this whole video, but the shot at the end is particularly great of Joyce having left the mic shaking in her wake. She is a Force of a vocalist and entertainer.
I feel sorry for Bartoli.... Both great voices but Di Donato gives you something else that goes right to your heart and your soul. Last night her singing on María Estuarda put me in tears!!!!!
Nice autumn indeed!!! Love Joyce and Cecilia! "Odio furor dispetto dolor " is a fiery aria... SO far Ceci's version with harnoncourt live is pretty furious and amazing... I think that version will be a benchmark for the other ones to be judged :)
Ann Hallenberg ventures into bel canto (check her new Marietta Marcolini CD) and DiDonato goes deeper into baroque. This is going to be an amazing autumn.
Looks like Dmitry Sinkovsky is playing 1. violin with Il complesso barocco !? He is an interesting (flamboyant?) musician, he sings a decent countertenor too! And now he is part of this stunning drama:-)
It's amazing to me that EMI, who offer these videos as part of their marketing effort, would monetize their TH-cam placement. Some bright bulb in the marketing dept probably said, "Hey, I've got a great idea. Let's spend $50k on a video promoting Joyce di Donato's album. And then we can monetize it and make, maybe, 16 bucks extra." WHY would you intentionally allow totally unrelated advertising to distract from your carefully crafted message???

Her enthusiasm is absolutely infectious!
made me happy - she expresses herself so beautifully and not only when singing! thanks - indeed, what more could we ask for

Absolutely an age of gifted mezzos-we are very lucky and should be very thankful. If only the tenors were up to them.
By far the best video I've watched on TH-cam!
To me, Joyce DiDonato is the best opera singer of all time!
Her vocal agility is out of this world.
She's up for another Grammy! Go for it Queen Joyce~
She is fantastic. I have seen her on the stage of the Met as well as during a recital at the Philharmonic. A very gifted singer and performer.
Weak in the knees once again, what a beautiful instrament Joyce Didonato has. What a pure instrament. :-)
Oh, never mind the silly comments when there's so much beauty and talent to admire. I just love her passion, it's infectious!
Joyce diDonato recital Without che Drama Queens in Valencia was magnificent año just perfect

Die zur Zeit perfekteste Stimme weltweit....wunderbar

Listening to videos like this, where musicians explain the music that they sing, that makes me love classical music and opera even more.
Absolutely!!. It paints a very clear picture of what is being sung.
Fantastic engaging approach to this repertoire. Beautiful singing!
Opera singers always seem so glamorous..
True.
Got it off iTunes a few days ago....it's wonderful, beautiful, brilliant.
Wow that is a great description of opera. My words exactly.
She is so good!!!!! And live even more exciting!

It's not botox! It was a bee sting of course!
Dear Laurel, yes, it's wonderful, but spelled instrUment, not instrAment!
I love her, but why did she have to botox her lip??? She's so young...
