Always looking forward to the Laver Cup! It's one of my favorite tournaments, together with RG and Wimbledon. I'll miss Borg and McEnroe in San Francisco next year.
Alcaraz is already a legend at such a young age….. I’m not against the Americans at all but if any one of them wants to win a slam. They need to come through these kinda big movements in their career. The occasion was too big for Fritz. Besides Alcaraz was way too good.
Carlos was the MVP. He carried the team to victory with three important wins. Kudos to him. So happy he get's another title after a difficult US Open ouster.

Like there's always a big build-up to Wimbledon coverage and it's like wall to wall when it's on from the start of the day to the end of play for the day. Queens and the ATP Finals are/were just kinda there without much fanfare, sometimes tucked away on the BBCs on demand service online or one of their lesser channels, and don't really have the name recognition and pull of Wimbledon. Plus the BBC were kinda bad at actually hyping the ATP finals as a big, and important event.

He's been getting better and better this year. Listening to him talking during changeover at this Laver Cup has been interesting because he seems pretty astute tactically and analysing his opponent and what they're doing and knowing what to try to do. Just about implementing it, and tbf today, I think there wasn't much he could really do with Alcaraz in that form, guy was playing outrageous.

As an European, I'm a full supporter of Team Europe, of course. However, both teams have won the same number of matches, and I think it's pitiful Sunday matches are most worthy than the other matches, just for the show. By the way, the super tie break in the third set is obviously a little shame.
As another European - completely agree ! Don't know if this point system / format is the final end-all-be-all .......... Feels less Ryder Cup of Tennis but more Harlem Globetrotter-ish......
Imagine what the Olympics would look like! Would be a way more fair comparison to China, US, Australia, etc... The gold medal rate from EU countries would outnumber every other continent!
To be honest - who cares ? There will be periods where Europe wins more , then Team World or USA will have times where they will win more........ Olympics or FIFA WC or any other country based competition , it's a bit gimmicky , don't get me wrong , i still watch. But usually countries who traditionally love a certain sport more - will succeed in said sport , especially team sports. In individual sports or Olympics in general - obviously the bigger industrialized countries with bigger populations , more children born every year , bigger talent pool , more money invested into sports programs and facilities ( and ' magic potion ' laboratories 😉 ) will win. At the end of the day , it is all a distraction , but pleasant at that. Let's be good sportsmen & sportswomen ! ✌❤🎾⚽️🏀🏐
I hate the way the players (losing especially) laugh and treat the LC as some kind of exhibition match. Shelton smiling and everyone on team World smiling wouldnt be if they just lost a grand slam. The Laver Cup is a joke--it should be held every 2-3 years, not every 12 months.
