Just in case, though, you could look into which occupations would be exempted from the draft, and try to get a job in those. There are always jobs that are so important, the country knows it won't be able to function if it drafts those workers.

I just realized that unlike past wars, the amount of knowledge and skill it requires to operate the machines we have today (tanks, aircraft, etc) are far more advanced and demanding. If a draft were to occur, it will be a final demise if the war doesn't drag on long enough for these new soldiers to train, we will be throwing men into combat without much support. Of course this is hypothetically speaking if many of those capable of operating such complicated machinery suffered heavy casualties.
I have not served but I don't think I need to in order to know that "complicated machinery" is controlled with an XBox controller... so us Americans have been training for years as it is because someone has already considered this... If you don't want to be drafted, I suggest you look into what jobs are reliably going to be protected, choose one that appeals to you, and study really hard in order to get into that job. It's kind of wild that studying hard and getting good grades in school could be the thing that keeps you out of the war, but at your age this is a choice that is available to you.
