Thank you! I'm not able to start my 2009 Range Rover, and repair shop told me I need new ECM and which I changed and installed still no luck after spending $1000 for diagnostic, Today I run in to your video and I gave it a tried 1515, car start right away. 😉
My 2005 Disco II, went into the store, came out, solid red light on the dash with no crank-no start, $100 to get it towed home, thinking Ignition relay, AutoZone tested the battery at 99%, started searching videos, did the key trick, started right up! I've had it for a couple of years, never had done that before. So glad I seen your video. Would have spent countless hours testing volts between the yellow wire and the blue wire.
The folks at the US Land Rover HQ have been wonderful helping to dig up radio codes and immobilizer codes. You just need to prove ownership, such as with a photo of your registration, and they’re happy to help.
Thank you so much! I was fucking stuck and a bunch of people kept staring like I was going to steal this beautiful 1997 Land Rover discovery series 1. I wanna buy you a beer. Come to Hawaii
Land Rover - EKA code (Freelander to 01, Defender, Discovery) Under normal circumstances, the only way to disarm the Immobiliser on a Land Rover vehicle is to use the correct Plip key to unlock the car. If no Plip key is available or functioning, it is possible to disarm the Immobiliser by using the EKA (Emergency Key Access) Code. This option will read the EKA Code from the vehicle and display it on the Multi-Tester Pro screen. The EKA Code consists of a 4 digit numerical sequence. To use an EKA code to disarm a vehicle, perform the following sequence: 1. Insert the key into the drivers door lock and turn to the lock position. 2. Wait for 5 seconds. 3. Turn the key to the unlock position the number of times indicated by the first digit of the EKA code. 4. Turn the key to the lock position the number of times indicated by the second digit of the EKA code. 5. Turn the key to the unlock position the number of times indicated by the third digit of the EKA code. 6. Turn the key to the lock position the number of times indicated by the fourth digit of the EKA code. 7. Turn the key to the unlock position. If the EKA code is entered correctly, the Alarm LED will stop flashing, and the engine will start. If you make an error while entering the EKA code, open and close the driver’s door before going back to the start of the sequence. If the EKA code is entered unsuccessfully 3 times, the system will ignore any further attempts for the next 10 minutes.
I need your help! I have a 2010 LR2 HSE, i cannot disable the immobilizer (originally from germany/poland), battery is new, engine does not turn over. I heard i have to go to dealer to reset my immobilizer by there sophisticated scanner 200$, is absurd. any ideas? thanks
THA GABSTAR It came with the materials in the owners manual. If you don’t have it, you might have luck asking your local dealer to look it up. Otherwise follow the instructions in the video for the default code. Good luck
Hello mate, I like your videos vlog about Rover Cars. Can you make a video how to set clear a problem of immobilizer with a Freelander 2002 model S that doesn't have any EKA. Because my Freelander doesn't have it and the key fob doesn't allow to reset the immobilizer. It seems that the only way to get the problem solved is to either go to a Land Rover garage or to do it via an Item that can clear and reset the immobilizer in order to be able to start the engine. Thank you for your concern and help.
Richard you’re the dogs deodars you have discribed spot on thanks plimbob13 ps do you know how to program the original keys with a Hawkeye diognost machine but still thanks for your help
Hi Richard-I have an issue with the alarm. I want to try what you recommended but I have one issue I'm not able to lock or unlock the drivers side. Can I do this process on the passenger side? Is the EKA code located in the manual? Or on the key fab?Thank you
I'm pretty sure it has to be the driver's side but never tried passengers. The EKA should be with materials in your original manual...or just use the default code in the video. Good luck!
Koito rob Great point. I should have mentioned that I live less than a mile from a dealer, so I reached out to them first, but it wasn’t anything they could help with anymore. Hopefully others have better luck.
Richard Dunville I don't have any solid red light but here's the thing it's a 2003 Landrover but I swapped it out with the 2001 motor a 2001 ECU a 2001 BCM and now it doesn't want to turn over before it did turn over but it was rough that's why I switched over all the electronics so then it would match the motor.. Now nothing
jorge pizarro hmm that's a tough one. I haven't switched the ECU so it's hard to say. If you aren't getting the dash lights, the immobiliser isn't your problem. I'll give it some thought.

Hi, ill do both steps or one
It's called an EKA code. If you don't have it you can tale proof of ownership to a Land Rover main dealer and they will give it to you.
