Bought one of your bypass boxes a while ago now, still not got around to fitting it, but this was the very reason why I bought it having got stranded with my discovery before! The only thing I’m tempted to do, is to run wires back into the cabin/dash somewhere with a toggle switch so I can manually immobilise the thing. Excellent product from Dixon Fabrication 👍👌
Hi we have a TD5 Land Rover Discovery 2 in Australia and it won't start. The hand on the dash keeps flashing when turned to start and won't crank. Found on line a immobilizer bypass plug? In behind the stereo system? Do you know about it?
I can see the benefits of this, especially when using a vehicle for remote travel. Something I've been looking into with my Discovery 2. How does this unit affect the normal functionality of the BCU which is still connected? FYI There is also a function in the nanocom/programming to set the BCU to 'always unlock with key' so only the key blade is required to unlock and start the car. Could that function be used in conjunction with the bypass box?
Did you ever find an answer to this ? I have a defender TD5 that won't start due , we believe to the immobiliser not sending the signal - wondered if we use the nanocom to say only start with key it would allow it to start.
Hello: I have a question: this bypass and the nanocom works only with discovery td5? or works with discovery II gasoline V8 2000. Thank you

@@winnie6354 if your vehicle is immobilised, currently, then the nanocom won't talk to it and you can't program anything.
