This is one song I've recently kind of...... I don't know, "resonated with" would be a good term. I don't have any children of my own, but I do have a stepdaughter that I first met when she was 9 years old. She is now 12 and turning into an absolutely gorgeous young lady and every time I hear of something new that she's done or how good her grades are, it's such a stab to my heart cause she's growing up so fast. I love her like I carried her myself for those 9 months.
every milestone gets easier.....my son's are now 34 and 30, I'm so proud of who grew up to be!!! Hardworking, good hearted men. I now look up to them, and they bring me comfort as I grow older, I sometimes long for them to be little again!
Sometimes it feels like it will never end, but once you're on the other side with adult children you can't believe how fast it went. Treasure every little minute with your kids making memories.
Billy, I LOVE, LOVE your reactions! This song shows just how fast those kiddos grow up! Thank you for your honest reactions - especially to country music!
As a mom and now a grandma of an almost 7 yr old (and I got to be in the delivery room and watch my grandson be born it was amazing) this songs makes so emotional everytime. I tell my grandson all the time to stop growing up as fast as his mama and aunt did grammie can't take it lol 😭🤣 And love all yr reaction videos especially love yr Shania Twain reactions, me and my grandson sing her songs together all the time he wants to meet her . AND THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR MILITARY SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!
I love this song that he sings because it's very true and I loved him when he just won't be long which is true time goes very fast right out the window
The first time I heard him was about 8 months ago.He sang wagon wheel,I was a fan.I look him up now and again.I love his voice. Thanks for this reaction.😄
This reminds me of when my daughters had their babies and they were taken away because of addiction problems. They went to rehab and I was told It wont be lik this for long. They both got their babies ack within 6 months. We are one big happy fdamily now.
This song breaks my heart. My son had a beautiful little girl. Light of his life. Found this song and played it for him. He loved it. Sadly he passed away before she turned 6.
Great reaction! This is my favorite Darius Rucker song, he’s amazing. I would love to see you do some George Jones reactions such as He Stopped Loving Her Today or If Drinking Don’t Kill Me
I have a story for you. 12 years ago my wife and I started to try for a baby. We got married young I was 20 and she was 19. At the time we started trying we were both 24. She gets pregnant and the day she tells me I hear George Strait I saw God today and I told my wife we are having a girl. Just hearing that song I got emotional and felt it was a girl. We found out later it was a girl. The day she was born we were in the hospital room and I hear Darius Rucker it won't be like this for long and balled my eyes out. She is now 11 years old. Goes by fast.
This is the song that made me fall in love with Darius Rucker's music. The lyrics are amazing. Another amazing "Parents" song is you're gonna miss this by Trace Adkins, My son was born 3 weeks ago... 29 years ago... I still remember the smell of his baby hair, his rolling giggles, how I'd chase him around the house or tuck him into bed and had to make sure all his stuffed animals were tucked in, too. My dad had told me when I was 10 years old that I was growing up too fast. I told him "Are you crazy? It's taking forever". and he said "When you're a parent, don't blink because your child will grow up on you". One day I blinked and my son was a 6' , 250 pounds man.
random tangent here but if you still have that laptop there are services that can pull your files from the hard drive so you can get those memories back!
Would someone be able to get pictures of a hard drive out of a computer that was dropped? Years ago back when digital was new and backing up pics on CDs wasn't common I was moving a computer and dropped it on accident. All of my 3 youngest kids & best friends youngest 2 baby pictures and the 2 years that followed were on it. I cried so hard when the computer never turned back on. I saved the hard drive for someday just incase.
I'm single with no kids, but this song always wrenches my heart. Please do "She calls me Raymond," but Brett Eldredge. Pretty sure Billy you so emotional will live that one.
Are you aware that Darius Rucker is the lead singer for Hootie and the Blowfish?! You’re probably fairly familiar with his voice without being aware of it! LOL! It surprises many people! 😁
BILLY!!! Please do some MARTY ROBBINS. His cowboy songs Old Red, Mr. Shorty, The El Paso trilogy. Or his Hiwaiin Aloha Oh. Such a C&W icon. A true showman, he used to run the Opry overtime to make sure the people got a full show.
I have 2 daughter's one listened to me when I told her stop trying to grow up so fast that will happen faster than you know. Then my youngest, I had a different approach because she enjoyed being the baby but what I didn't know was the baby was doing grown up things until she went to the doctor because she wanted to be put on birth control and I was like okay she is being responsible and she was also letting me know she was being sexually active but what I didn't expect was for her to follow in my footsteps and get pregnant in her senior year of high school, that didn't break my heart cause I knew it was coming from one of them. They're both grown now, my oldest still doesn't have children she says she is waiting until she is 40; she's 38 my youngest has a daughter and a son she had 2 years after my granddaughter and he is a treat, my youngest is 28 she just got married to a guy I like because I didn't like her kids father ( he didn't want to be anything or do anything. He was just a bum she fell in love with) my grandson was a surprise baby because I stopped saying "he don't want nothing, he don't want to be nothing. He don't even want to be a good father" I had to stop myself from commenting when she called to vent. She called me in tears to say he left her and the kids, my heart just dropped but I told her don't worry he'll be back, trying not to sound like I wanted to choke him to death ( I have violent thoughts too) I wasn't worried about her cause she was the bread winner ( this guy couldn't even stay home and play Mr.Mom) she called me again to let me know she was in the hospital, she said she broke her ankle, I asked her what happened she said "she passed out on the kitchen floor" I said "you must be pregnant" she asked me "why would you say that? he's been gone for 4months we haven't even talked on the phone" I said "you know the seed could have been planted before he left, you know you pass out when you get into your 7th month" she said "Mom I'm not pregnant, I have had my period every month, " I told her "what does that mean you could still be pregnant." So she asked the nurse if she could have an ultrasound before they x-ray her foot. She called me back crying, I asked what was wrong; she said "I'm pregnant" so with all that said I love my grandson to pieces. Sorry I tend to ramble on when I talk about my girls (yes Billy, they will always be Mommy's girls)
This song is bittersweet for me. My son had issues. He has Tourette's, he has ADHD, he has learning disabilities, and he was always a few years behind in his growing up (dont know how else to say it, but he was like 8, he would have the temperament of a 4 year old). And sometimes he would drive me CRAZY. And I couldn't wait for him to be an adult. He turned 30 this year. And I would give anything to go back to my little boy, to just kiss his forehead, and even to dry his tears.
I love and hate this song. If that makes sense. I have 2 boys 11yr old and 8 yr old, it feels like they were just babies yesterday and they are growing so fast. 😢 I told my 8 yr old yesterday that I wish he was still a baby and he told me that he will always be my baby. 😍
at 2.12 BYC lays it down. when you're military and a family man (or woman) you leave, and you're gone for a time, days weeks months years... its that duty, the job. still its hard on families. remember that when you see a vet here or there, its not just the wars, the combat, its the training, deployments, going to the field, REFORGER, Team Spirit, B-NOC A-NOC, etc...
Led Zeppelin Achilles Last Stand 1979 (The good version with the high view-count) or Kashmir 2007 Led Zeppelin - two of some of their best performances.
My first day of kindergarten after my dad left, the teacher knelt down to talk to me face to face and I broke his nose lol I grew up rough so I didn't know that was wrong
Oh thank you for saying this because I feel the same way and people think I'm nuttier than a fruitcake I wanted to have two girls and two boys it never happened and I'm a little sad but that's okay at least I have one daughter
I hate this hate is it's true my daughter when she became 14 I was like where did my baby go she turned into a freaking monster for a few years I thought I was going to lose it but only by the grace of God I made through it

Yes! Love him, he's so authentic.
I first heard this song from my daughter, she sang it for me. She held me hand and I cried like a baby. Every time I hear it, it gets me.

So happy to see so much love for your little girl, I thought you were gonna cry, love this show Billy,
This song always gives me the feels. Another good one is Don’t Blink by Kenny Chesney. Another one about finding time in a busy life.
As a father of a 5 year old little boy, I can tell ya there is too much truth in this song.
I cried when my 9 yr old was going to headstart the first day she cried and I cried it killed mommy 🤗 ( she never saw me cry) lol
