@@Rgc571 I struggle with that. I now clean out a pen after 2 months unless there is a burning need for it. I think to myself that if it still has ink after 2 months then I aren’t really using it.
@@karenholden4740 I’ve been really surprised by the Kanwrite. The Moonman was one of the first Chinese pens I bought, and is still one of my favourites
You are so good at keeping your inked pens to a useable number! I always start with good intentions, but then I get excited about trying new inks, and before I know it, most of my pens are inked up...and then we wait until the ink runs out (or dries up!) and we begin again. 😂 Although right now I'm prepping for inkvent, so MOST of my pens are clean and ready now. (this is my first year doing an inkvent, and I decided it was fitting to do the first Colorverse for it...I'm so excited, it's good to have something to look forward to! 🎁)
@@lizbensoncox I do end up emptying some pens after 2 months unless there is a really pressing thing I want them for. I find if I aren’t using a particular combo often enough there’s no point keeping ink in it.
@@GarryEvesI’ve inked a bunch of mine because I was learning how they felt and what I liked. But I feel guilty disposing of the ink. I am not going to be an ink recycler and I know I have more ink than I’ll ever need but I still feel bad about inking the pens and not using it up. 🤔 should I not be worrying about that?
I started with the pens earlier this year so I would ink them up as I got them to get a feel for what I like. That is still a work in progress. But now I have 12-13 inked up! I will like use pens on a seasonal rotation but now I have a few that will likely stay inked up for a long time until they get used up! I’m learning I do not need a large ink capacity or I don’t have to fill them up all the way. I think I’ll try to keep 5-8 inked at a season for now.
I limit my inked pens to no more than 5 at a time with different colors, nibs, inks, price ranges, though on occasion I may go 1-2 over temporarily. I do not have a specific rotation scheme; I mostly just change when a pen runs dry.
@@GarryEves Garry, I realize your situation is much different. I am actually surprised you don't have more inked! I think in the video you asked for comments about what we viewers do, and I was responding to that.
My current inked pens: Asvine P20 Leonardo Momento Zero Grande Esterbrook Estie Wing Sung 699 (vacuum filler) Leonardo Furore I had a Jinhao X159 inked with Visconti Blue. I dropped the pen on the floor and cracked the barrel which I had eyedropper filled 😢. I found that Visconti blue is water resistant. It did not wipe clean very well from the floor or my hands. I had to resort to using bleach! How are you liking the Hexo?
The only one I don't have from that list is the Estie. I have tried one but found it felt too small. Oh no, that would have been a nightmare having ink on the floor. For my hands I use Gumption or That Pink Stuff, which seems to remove ink, although I'm not sure if that is a recommended use, and I'm lucky my skin doesn't get damaged. I like the Hexo. I need to get it into a PIU rotation but haven't had the opportunity yet.
Nice collection. I have way too many pens inked up, but can’t seem to reduce the number. Great video.

I haven’t gotten it, but I’ve seen a few videos showcasing the inks and the colorverse ink vent looks stellar!

My main reason for having so many inked is down to the videos I create, otherwise I would be similar with a limit of 6 pens inked up at any one time.

@GarryEves There is an oversized version of the Estie.
