+SkullCollectorD5 +Marijus S Thanks for coming back to see the updates :D! Which games are you into these days if not EVE? I play all sorts of games and trying to branch out from EVE when it comes to my TH-cam content.
Apparently I'm into EVE again and you have only yourself to blame for that. :D Gonna reactivate my account next paycheck. My main game is Arma 3, and I enjoy StarMade a lot. Saying SM is "like Minecraft, but in space" wouldn't do it justice, you'll have to check it out to get a proper impression.
SkullCollectorD5 Hahaha, sorry about that :D. StarMade sounds interesting. I played Space Engineers for a bit and I thought that was "minecraft in space". Now you got me intrigued.
RELOAD, you're the man. I'm new to EVE and have been training into Prospects (Mining), Heron (Exploration), and Basilisk (Healing) over the last 6 months. Now that my training is complete for these ships, I need to make some serious ISK. Your tutorials will be a huge help to me. I can't tell you how many times I've been just flying around trying to mine on my own and get ganked by jerks. :)
+TiekoBarringtonMagic You're very welcome!! I hope my tutorials will be useful for you! I'd say unless you're running with a fleet, don't worry too much about Basilisk training. But if you can train Logistics to level 5 (quite a long training), you'll be indispensable. o7
This is great thank you, I have been playing with it for a while now. I sell some minerals locally, but as I produce a lot of tech 1 products myself, I only tend to fill buy orders when they are listed at a reasonable price. I sell the majority of my ores compressed on buyback systems, 90 - 100% jita price depending on the buyer rates. However, I now understand that I should hold my contracts back and sell when the prices are higher.
+Rachael Lines Yeah, null sec is a bit of a different beast. This spreadsheet is geared more towards high sec newbie miners, but in general, will still tell you whether you'll get more value out of sell the ore raw or refining it into minerals. I'm guessing you'd have to input manual prices to really take advantage of it. o7
Truly, took me about 2 days to figure out how the entire spreadsheet works and now I feel dumb that it took that long (maybe starting at 2am was not a good idea). Anyways thanks to that I've got a copy of it and learned few more things about google spreadsheets, and I finally can do the modifications for my own purposes. Basically modify my own old one to be a small smart spreadsheet :D
+Kwydin Glad you're finding it useful! I've got one more spreadsheet I'm working on right now. But after that one, I'm thinking of doing a tutorial video on how I made these spreadsheets. Also working on a different way to import prices, just not sure which way is better yet.
One of the best features of EvE Online is how it's got so many great API endpoints to work with. More games should do this, as it allows a plethora of third party applications - all helping the game stay alive.
+kebman Indeed. It takes many tasks away from developers, helping them focus on core gameplay changes, while letting the community use the raw data as they see fit!
+Terranuvium Thank you! I always seem to come back to mining every now and then even though I don't really need the minerals. I guess it's the industrialist in me :D o7
i did mining when i started with eve 2013... i remember asking me the same question ORE or Minerals... and hell that was some calculation i did there :D Although i dont have nothing to do with Mining or Manufacturing anymore, big big props to you Sir for this Spreadsheet 2000 Ninja Mastery...it will help a lot of Mining Freaks out there in the Belts. Thank you very much! Likewise, I'm not doing any mining/manufacturing anymore. Exploration is more of my thing now. But now and then I like to see what I can do with in-game data :D
Kernite ore is highest priced of highsec ores because of one of level 4 storyline missions. 8000 kernite units are needed for one storyline storyline mission to complete giving 20mil implant as reward. Pretty fast money and faction standing increase by buying 8000 kernite and clicking complete :-)
This is amazing great job...you videos have reduced my frustration levels lol and saved me time... and please show how and list other possible spreadsheets i would need.
+matt w I'm very glad you're finding this useful! I have one more spreadsheet to show and then I'll do a tutorial on how I made it update the prices so you can craft your own. What do you like to do in-game? Spreadsheets are useful for manufacturing mostly to keep track of profitability. Keep in mind that T1 manufacturing is rarely profitable. T2 can be profitable, but with invention costs thrown in the mix, it becomes very complex to track profitability. There's 3rd party apps to calculate all of this for you, but I keep on finding inconsistencies in calculations and then end up making my own spreadsheets :D
mainly focusing on mining and marketing and production. Having a video show how you do the process of your decision making from the asteroid to producing a product to the market would be awesome... im probably going to focus on gas harvesting but still want other options available
You're very welcome! Let me know if you find any bugs, I'll duo my best to maintain the file every now and then. (I don't actively mine these days :D) o7
Something that I've been doing lately, is compressing my ores. An expansion a while back allowed peeps to set up compression arrays in their high sec pos's :3 (Rorq pilots raged (:< ) I transport my ores from far away so keeping them raw and even refining would take up too much cargo hold, making my transport attempts too much of a pain, I own a pos and have a compression array there to compress 1 mil+ m3 to under 10k m3 and I just use my blockade runner to get them to jita quickly. I haven't done the calculations but when I compress them, the estimated value of a mill plus m3 of my raw Plagioclase ( I mine it cuz it takes a long time to get thru a rock, so I can watch movies or your YT vids, while i mine) goes up a decent amount.
+Mataiodragon Compressing the ore seems to me to be the way to go these days. Mainly since reprocessing in null is way more efficient. I haven't really explored that angle in detail, but I'm assuming compressed ore has shot up in price since that change was introduced. I'll have to research that further to know for sure, but in my mind compressed ore should cost more than the equivalent raw ore. Of course market is a fickle beast that doesn't always comply, but something to look into in the future for sure! Good on you to have a compression array set up! o7
Gints Gavars Yeah I'm thinking of researching that. Not sure how fast I can actually report on it (since I don't even have the basic POS skills trained), but it's on my mind for sure.
thank you so much for pointing out the "buyers orders" and giving us that option by default. bravo. nice microphone settings btw, i'm jealous. and...lol...my spreadsheet is a dog's breakfast compared. kudos for the cleanliness
Would be easy to make a trader version of this with all the work you have done. Those interested in using their refinery and trade skills, and standing to buy ore, reprocess, and sell for profit.
Oh yeah, it's very easy to modify it. I am thinking of making a tutorial on how I made these spreadsheets so that people can create their own (soon TM)
+Domanique G. Thank you! My main character is Tatius Jorgstern. Feel free to add me. I haven't relied on Industry as a source of ISK income in a long while, but I come back to it now and then :D
Compress your ore before you take it to where you are going to reprocess it. From the Neocon Menu at the top of your screen on the left side... select Utilities, then Structure Browser. Then at the top of the window are two buttons. The one on the right, is: Service Filter. From here, select Reprocessing Plant... that will show you all the stations where you can compress your ore.
Nice spreadsheet but like most player you forget to add the time in to the mix . The ore maybe worth more but u can transport far more minerals to market and the time u save on transport can be spent mining . Even when I had low refine skills I still made more ISK refining and selling minerals in bulk than selling the ore.
+Alistair Beeney Yeah I left it as a personal decision for the player. I don't think I explained it well in the video, but I tried to emphasize that you have to be mining in the same system as the best price for the ore. That way transport time is not an issue. The only caveat to that is if the system is popular and you have a tough time finding the highest priced ore, then you have to decide whether you want to transport ore from a nearby system or just refine it into minerals.
Interesting video, but the assumptions are a bit out of date. Especially for HS miners, the question is less refine vs raw, but rather compression vs refining. With losses at HS being pretty steep, even with perfect skills and standings, compression can give miners a better isk/effort return. Simply put, the low-end minerals HS miners are harvesting are needed in great quantity, and have pretty awful value/m3 for both the miner and the industrialist on the other end. Instead, both parties can save on freight weight by using the compressed ore and move much more value/m3 in their industrial engine (capitals specifically). Compression can be handled quickly by running a POS for 1-hr, and letting it go offline once a load of ore is compressed.
That's a very good point. I haven't had a chance to play around with a compression array yet. But I've been trying to run some theoretical numbers and definitely compression is the way to go. Especially considering refining in null sec is way more efficient (due to the station rate). I just have to get my hands on a POS :D Thank you for your input! Love your videos, your market analysis is top notch! o7
thank you very much I will take this spreadsheet. however like you said at the end I will be very interested to see how you make it. I made a spreadshit about my corporation asset also. it's like one where you enter every month in detail what you buy and sell from the alliance and it give you how well the alliance is going or what you should focus on. However it's not as clear as yours and not as automatic as I wish it will be. so i definitly looking forward to see how you made it in order to improve myself too.
+TheSharkman64 Sounds good! I can definitely explain how I imported the prices in one of the next videos. I'm not sure if it'll be useful for automating manual entry analysis, but hopefully will provide some more info for you! o7
well it will definitly make me learn new skill so it's always good. more importante it can be usefull in Real life too. soo yeah i'm looking for it for sur :)
Think I should come back to EVE after watching this video and having 5+ freezed mining accounts.. and another five owns my wife :P by the way try out EVE ISK per Hour, pretty detailed but complicated program for miners/industry peeps. Great video!
+Никита Козлов Thank you!! I should check out EVE ISK per hour for sure, it was mentioned to me a few times. I have zero experience with 3rd party programs for EVE.
+knight3252 Yeah, this is totally expandable to manufacturing. I'm still thinking of a way to make my manufacturing spreadsheet user-friendly. I can explain how I imported the prices though in one of the next videos. o7
I have hidden a few of the sheets that do most of the background calculations and price retrieval from EVE-Central database. The "loadSystemPrices" function itself comes from the script that I put into the spreadsheet (here's the link: github.com/fuzzysteve/eve-googledocs-script/blob/master/EveCentralPrices.gs) Without that script, the ImportXML function just doesn't work with Google sheets (it does with MS Excel though). I will eventually get to explaining exactly how I made this spreadsheet, but I'm looking into importing prices directly from EVE's CREST rather than EVE-Central at the moment.
Reload mind if I copy this and alter it to use evepraisal instead of Eve central? I will send you the updated evepraisal version once it’s done if you will allow me to
I'm sorry to say, but not really. This spreadsheet itself can't call up prices anymore and the whole mining aspect has changed dramatically very recently. I'll rework the whole thing once CCP finalizes what they want to do with mining, but that can take another year or so. Best advice I can offer at this point is to do what your skills allow you to. It's usually better to reprocess if your skills are up to lvl 4 or so. I'm not actively playing EVE anymore because of IRL, but I'll come back to making videos and help make sense of how to play this game soon. o7
Is there any updated version of the spreadsheet? Seems linke the spreadsheet is currently out of service as mineral prices are not updated inmmediately. :/
I'm sorry, but not yet. I'm working on a solution and I think there's a new way to get into EVE's API, but for now personally I don't know of a way to update the spreadsheet dynamically. Hopefully I can find time within the next two weeks to look into it
I like your spreadsheet. is there a way to do this with excel 2016 or vb.net to leverage programming into this? I don't understand much about xml, but i'm pretty proficient at vb.net and csharp using the .net framework. the developer links for eve aren't very clear for someone unfamiliar with xml or crest api
+sfantulst You're very welcome! I'm thinking of upgrading this guide if I can make the spreadsheet pull info directly from CREST for more accurate data. I'll make a video on that once I manage to make it work.
Thank you, sorry it's mostly useless right now. I hope once a new system comes along, I can make a better one that updates the prices automatically again.
+bennitt69 Hahaha, you can give it a go. It's not that much fun unless you're with other people or you're hardcore into industry/manufacturing. But I seem to come back to it every now and then for some inexplicable reason :D
+maikel van der knaap Compressing ore is a rather lucrative career. I don't know much about it yet, but I'm researching as I go along. If you have access to a compressor, I recommend using it :)
When you decide to start mining in EVE Online, you will very rapidly face the question "What the hell am I doing in my life, and why am I wasting so much time to make so little ISK?"* *Nullsec and W-space aren't quite as bad, although there are far, far better ways to make ISK in those regions.
+Morrigi192 That's very true. Exactly the reason why I personally stopped mining as soon as I got a Hulk... But you'll be surprised how many people really enjoy mining. After all, it's about what you enjoy to do in game :D
+Reload also it's a valid gameplay alternative when you cannot keep your eyes focused on the screen every second but you still can have a look at it once in a while.. so not beeing 100% afk but still making money..
+Caleb Rohrer (Fidd1er) Not at this time Caleb. I'll be working on a separate sheet for compressed ore. But it's possible to modify this one to include some compressed ore calculations
Hello Reload, Where did you pull the data from? I tried to use EVE Central APIs, but the prices are all over the places, and it's kinda buggy. Do you have a better place to pull these information? Thanks!
+Simply Dota I am pulling it from EVE central, but only for Jita 4-4. There is a way to pull data straight from CREST (EVE live feed), but I haven't used that method yet. It might be changing soon, so I'm waiting till the changes are implemented.
***** github.com/fuzzysteve/eve-googledocs-script/blob/master/EveCentralPrices.gs That is the script that I used to help me pull data (otherwise I'd get an error in google docs). I haven't used this spreadsheet myself in quite a while, I hope it's still relatively accurate.
If/when one get reprocessing skills to not lose minerals ("profitable"), could it be possible to profit from buying ore, reprocess and then sell the minerals without having to mine it self? if/when ofc minerals are worth more then the ore, which i pressume is most of the time.
+digdrag I really have not accounted for compression. To get the compression module you have to have access to a POS. Few new players have that option. I am looking into compression though. I just have to find the time to get enough ISK for a POS + experimenting with compression module.
I'll see if I can modify it. I just have zero experience with compacted ore, so it's tougher for me to arrange it in a way that will be useful. But I'll see what I can do, definitely will add compressed ore in 2.0 version :D
Not at the moment. I didn't really want to include aspects that I don't personally have enough experience with. I may include ice in the near future though!
+Satans Ashtray I sure can! I have one more spreadsheet video that I'm going to make first, and then I can make the "making of" video. The thing is that API might be changing soon, I'm trying to hold off until changes are in effect so that I don't have to remake a video.
The trouble isnt only mineral vs reprocess but the hauling too... till you can only compress ore and not the reprocessed material you couldnt have so much choice for big quantities.
I think it is easier to use ore.cerlestes.de/index.html#site:ore and (maybe missed it but) the M3 space it takes up differers from ore to ore. As well... the website calculates how much your ship can hold as you have to factor in round trip time.
+Daniel Slagle Cerlestes is a great site! I used to (and sometimes still do) use it almost exclusively when I mined. I just also had a spreadsheet tailored to my character, but then realized that I could make it customizable and share it with players that might find it useful :)
Shift drag the stack in the hanger and it will give you a dialog to input a number, default is the entire stack. Change the number desired amount you want to work with and press accept and the stack will be split.
I have one more update for this in mind. After I make and post that video, I'm very likely to do a tutorial on how I made this. I've been holding out a bit, thinking I would learn how to import stuff directly from CREST, but I have little time to learn right now.
SorenEragon just copy the spreadsheet into your own google docs. There are 3 tabs that are "hidden". When you copy the file and become the owner you'll be able to unlock them and edit everything. The script will be there already. It's slightly modified by me though. Here's the link to the original script: github.com/fuzzysteve/eve-googledocs-script/blob/master/EveCentralPrices.gs I'll still do the tutorial, as soon as I'll get some time :D
+Reload I already have copies of the spreadsheet. But there are things on it that I don't understand and I'm sure the tutorial would explain. That is what I mostly meant when I said to get me up to speed. I will be looking forward to the tutorial 😄
Yeah sorry about that. It's still not fixed. The manual tab will work fine if you enter in the ore/mineral prices yourself. But as long as eve-central is down, the spreadsheet is borked :(
+Igloo254 I haven't had a chance to try out EVE ISK per Hour. I'll give it a try though. I haven't really used many 3rd party apps with EVE, they used to be very unreliable in my experience. Things could be different now though.
Nope, turns out I'm just dumb. The references were just broken, and I could not see the "Ore Table' as it was pushed off my screen. If anyone wants to use the spreadsheet, I found the bug. You need to replace the bad reference with "$B$26" to refer to the price of Tritanium. Also, you need to change the references to the E column of the 'Ore Table' to $B$27 Pyerite. The first formula should look like this: =$F$5*(('Ore Table'!D2*$B$26)+('Ore Table'!E2*$B$27)+('Ore Table'!F2*$B$28)+('Ore Table'!G2*$B$29)+('Ore Table'!H2*$B$30)+('Ore Table'!I2*$B$31)+('Ore Table'!J2*$B$32)+('Ore Table'!K2*$B$33))/100 All of the formulas are messed up as "E2*$B$26" got stuck in everything. Don't use that, it's always wrong. You will need to fix each one as doing it with copy/paste only works for the first three. Thanks for the original work Reload, still a huge help.
I just want to KNOW how to sell my ore that I have. I have been through 4 youtube vids and 3 posts so far. How difficult can it be to sell ore? WTF is wrong with this game that It has to make everything so difficult
That's because 90% of the learning curve in this game is fighting with the incredibly convoluted and unnecessarily complicated interface. Lots of things just take many button presses, not really difficult.
To be honest, i would be more interested in the tutorial from a real life application point of view. Since in game i always just sell in bulk since i still turn a profit.
Do you mean a tutorial on how to make dynamic spreadsheets? I could do one, but I'm just not sure what kind of data I could be importing and from where. This is basically hinging on API from EVE-central and a script to make it all work with Google Docs. I know there's a way of pulling prices directly from CREST (EVE Online's server API), but I haven't tried that myself yet.
I would like to see the whole process that went into making that doc, or anything similar to it. To be more precise, 1. making a dynamic spreadsheet, 2 importing data from an external source. I assume you're fetching those prices automatically from a site. I would understand if you consider it takes too much of your time but it was worth a shot.
***** I've had an idea of making a tutorial of how I made this for a while. Basically I just have to find time, but it's totally on my to do list :D Within a week or two I'll have one more video on an update to this spreadsheet and after that I'll focus on making a "how-to" video.
To be honest this stuff also has real life applications which makes me even more interested, but I've also been really tempted to come back to eve recently. I'm going to resub over the weekend, most likely joining a nullsec corp to shed my carebare habits.
Why am I watching this, I don't even play EVE anymore.
+SkullCollectorD5 Same here. I keep coming back to see the updates

Great work dude, this is great for newer players, excellent stuff
+jarrod fairs Thank you! Glad you're finding this useful!
How did i miss this video! good job on the video!
Thank you +Matt Gilbert !! Hope you find it useful
I just have to get my hands on a POS :D
Thank you for your input! Love your videos, your market analysis is top notch! o7
man thank you for the video and the spread
You're very welcome!! (psst: one more will be coming soon :D)
The spreadsheeet lists refining skills. I believe they are Reprocessing and Reprocessing Efficiency
+David Burhans Yeah, I'm still used to calling them refining skills. They are indeed reprocessing and reprocessing efficiency
thank you very much I will take this spreadsheet. however like you said at the end I will be very interested to see how you make it.
This is great thank you so much!
+Brad Fleegle You're very welcome!!
Someone edited the spreadsheet and messed it up. You can no longer select Trade Hub.
+BaliAgha Thanks for letting me know! Original version restored. o7
+Reload It's working again, thank you for the fast response o7
Think I should come back to EVE after watching this video and having 5+ freezed mining accounts.. and another five owns my wife :P by the way try out EVE ISK per Hour, pretty detailed but complicated program for miners/industry peeps. Great video!
+Никита Козлов Thank you!! I should check out EVE ISK per hour for sure, it was mentioned to me a few times. I have zero experience with 3rd party programs for EVE.
+Reload Well, just try it out :) It's worth time spent with setting it up. Hope to see some more great vids on mining! o7
Никита Козлов
Just downloaded it, will give it a go! Fly safe o7
Oh my god your voice is so soothing
Thank you!
I loved this video, been trying to get google spreadsheet to work for industry jobs. Would love to see how you set it up.
+knight3252 Yeah, this is totally expandable to manufacturing. I'm still thinking of a way to make my manufacturing spreadsheet user-friendly. I can explain how I imported the prices though in one of the next videos. o7
Very nice work!
+Andrew Roper Thank you!
Great video man!
+Kieran Alexander Thank you!
You're the best!
+Raymond Bourke Thank you! Hope you find this useful o7
I would like to know how and where you look up the prices so what you did in the "loadSystemPrices" function. And where it is defined.
Greatings
I have hidden a few of the sheets that do most of the background calculations and price retrieval from EVE-Central database. The "loadSystemPrices" function itself comes from the script that I put into the spreadsheet (here's the link: github.com/fuzzysteve/eve-googledocs-script/blob/master/EveCentralPrices.gs)
Without that script, the ImportXML function just doesn't work with Google sheets (it does with MS Excel though).
I will eventually get to explaining exactly how I made this spreadsheet, but I'm looking into importing prices directly from EVE's CREST rather than EVE-Central at the moment.
Pretty sweet.
Reload mind if I copy this and alter it to use evepraisal instead of Eve central? I will send you the updated evepraisal version once it’s done if you will allow me to
excellent video fella cheers
+flik69able thank you! Glad you liked it o7
what i do is = mine in 0.5 or 1.0 sec in a cargo ship to cargo more ore = warp to a 9.0 sec station and sell = about 900K/500K profit
It appears the Reprocessing tab of the sheet i snot working anymore.
Thank you for letting me know, I'll fix it. Please remind me if I forget to do it :)
Hiya, Please consider this your reminder. :)
Hey man! Returning player. Does this still work?
I'm sorry to say, but not really. This spreadsheet itself can't call up prices anymore and the whole mining aspect has changed dramatically very recently. I'll rework the whole thing once CCP finalizes what they want to do with mining, but that can take another year or so.
Best advice I can offer at this point is to do what your skills allow you to. It's usually better to reprocess if your skills are up to lvl 4 or so.
I'm not actively playing EVE anymore because of IRL, but I'll come back to making videos and help make sense of how to play this game soon. o7
A Venture and compressed ore will work as well.
+raborne Vines I will be updating this guide to include compressed ore some time soon
I also use a porpoise because it's much faster than a miasmos. And more room
+raborne Vines porpoise is pretty good!
when trying to use this spreadsheet the trade hub box is messed up from what the video shows doesnt give the option for the trade hub
+thespeedygone Thank you for letting me know. It got messed up by someone. It's all fixed now though :D o7
Ty it's working now is very helpful
I want to know how this spreadsheet was made :) especially the linking too the in game prices.
Currently the spreadsheet is not working as intended. It was relying on EVE-Central market data, but that site is currently down.
Is there an easy way to look up your skills, and standings to put into the spreadsheet?
There are a few sites out there. You can try eveboard.com/ or even gate.eveonline.com/ will give you your skills list.
thank you
Is there any updated version of the spreadsheet? Seems linke the spreadsheet is currently out of service as mineral prices are not updated inmmediately. :/
I'm sorry, but not yet. I'm working on a solution and I think there's a new way to get into EVE's API, but for now personally I don't know of a way to update the spreadsheet dynamically. Hopefully I can find time within the next two weeks to look into it
@@ReLoadGV thank you! Appreciate it o7
I know this is a super old video, but is there any chance that there is a functional version of this Google Sheet someplace? It looks pretty awesome.
holy crap you must have put alot of time into that
I've been building upon it for a while :) Hope you find this useful!
Thank You for this gr8 tool. Please tell me how do you collect data from other sites into your spreed sheet.
+sfantulst You're very welcome! I'm thinking of upgrading this guide if I can make the spreadsheet pull info directly from CREST for more accurate data. I'll make a video on that once I manage to make it work.
Hey Sir, can you pls upload the sheet? Somebody messed up the Formular, get #REF Errors cause of missing Numbers. THX
Cool spreadsheet!
Thank you, sorry it's mostly useless right now. I hope once a new system comes along, I can make a better one that updates the prices automatically again.
this actually makes me want to mine belts
+bennitt69 Hahaha, you can give it a go. It's not that much fun unless you're with other people or you're hardcore into industry/manufacturing. But I seem to come back to it every now and then for some inexplicable reason :D
If the refined version is worth more than the raw, refine it. otherwise do not refine it.
Spreadsheet simulator showing its true colors.
+AK474000 Oh yeah, EVE industry without a spreadsheet is a losing game :D
nice sheet! but what about compressing it?
+maikel van der knaap Compressing ore is a rather lucrative career. I don't know much about it yet, but I'm researching as I go along. If you have access to a compressor, I recommend using it :)
When you decide to start mining in EVE Online, you will very rapidly face the question "What the hell am I doing in my life, and why am I wasting so much time to make so little ISK?"*
*Nullsec and W-space aren't quite as bad, although there are far, far better ways to make ISK in those regions.
+Morrigi192 That's very true. Exactly the reason why I personally stopped mining as soon as I got a Hulk... But you'll be surprised how many people really enjoy mining. After all, it's about what you enjoy to do in game :D
+Morrigi192 This is also useful if you are buying minerals to build stuff
JStank that's true, if you have good refining skills, it may be cheaper to buy the raw ore.
+Reload also it's a valid gameplay alternative when you cannot keep your eyes focused on the screen every second but you still can have a look at it once in a while.. so not beeing 100% afk but still making money..
cikho oh yeah, that's the way I used to mine all the time
Hey Reload, does this also take into consideration compressed ores?
+Caleb Rohrer (Fidd1er) Not at this time Caleb. I'll be working on a separate sheet for compressed ore. But it's possible to modify this one to include some compressed ore calculations
Reload awesome man, cheers.
Im getting a # ref on the sorted price per volume. Any idea how to fix?
Thank you Reload, Can you show how to update with Evemarketer API?
Does this spreadsheet still work a year and a half from now?
It does. I just fixed some errors :D
Some1 messed up the sreadsheet. F4 copyed to F3 .
+Hulla Dek Thank you for letting me know! I restored my previous version. Should be A-Ok now o7
Hello Reload,
Where did you pull the data from? I tried to use EVE Central APIs, but the prices are all over the places, and it's kinda buggy. Do you have a better place to pull these information?
Thanks!
+Simply Dota I am pulling it from EVE central, but only for Jita 4-4. There is a way to pull data straight from CREST (EVE live feed), but I haven't used that method yet. It might be changing soon, so I'm waiting till the changes are implemented.
Ok. Because the EVE Central feeds are all over the place... Like literally.
*****
github.com/fuzzysteve/eve-googledocs-script/blob/master/EveCentralPrices.gs
That is the script that I used to help me pull data (otherwise I'd get an error in google docs). I haven't used this spreadsheet myself in quite a while, I hope it's still relatively accurate.
Whats all this #REF! business that isn't letting me use the spreadsheet??
Fixed. Someone always manages to find ways to break the spreadsheet :D
If/when one get reprocessing skills to not lose minerals ("profitable"), could it be possible to profit from buying ore, reprocess and then sell the minerals without having to mine it self? if/when ofc minerals are worth more then the ore, which i pressume is most of the time.
I sort of wish that you had put Ices on there. Oh well, I'll mod it myself.
+Aaron Wolbach Sorry man, I would've put ice, but my experience is very very limited. Didn't want to mess it up. Hopefully it worked out for you!
high-five for bitchin' EVE spreadsheets!
+GDPanda Haha o/ high-five back! Thanks for watching/commenting! o7
+GDPanda Also, count me in for wanting some spread sheet construction porn!
GDPanda
Sounds good! I'll have to remember how I did it exactly, but if it's helpful I'll explain for sure.
Outside of the in-game applications, just showing people how to have a dynamically updating spreadsheet is a great career skill to have.
GDPanda
Interesting. This was my first dynamic spreadsheet. Spent hours trying to make eve central work with google drive.
Does this sheet still work?
Yep, still works, still fixing it from time to time :D
What about compression though?
+digdrag I really have not accounted for compression. To get the compression module you have to have access to a POS. Few new players have that option. I am looking into compression though. I just have to find the time to get enough ISK for a POS + experimenting with compression module.
is there any way you could add in something to help with compacted ore? i know the price changes a bit with compacted,
I'll see if I can modify it. I just have zero experience with compacted ore, so it's tougher for me to arrange it in a way that will be useful. But I'll see what I can do, definitely will add compressed ore in 2.0 version :D
does this spreadsheet cover consumer used gas and say water ice or methane ice?
Not at the moment. I didn't really want to include aspects that I don't personally have enough experience with. I may include ice in the near future though!
Can you make a video which shows hof you made the spread sheet ?=)
+Satans Ashtray I sure can! I have one more spreadsheet video that I'm going to make first, and then I can make the "making of" video. The thing is that API might be changing soon, I'm trying to hold off until changes are in effect so that I don't have to remake a video.
Please add Arant to the spread sheet
One of these days I'll make videos on how I made the spreadsheets. Then everyone can customize them to their liking :)
The trouble isnt only mineral vs reprocess but the hauling too... till you can only compress ore and not the reprocessed material you couldnt have so much choice for big quantities.
+Didier88600 Yeah you are definitely grounded to whatever system has the best buying price for particular ore.
I just also had a spreadsheet tailored to my character, but then realized that I could make it customizable and share it with players that might find it useful :)
is this up to date for 2017
More or less, yes. EVE-central is undergoing maintenance at the moment, so the prices may not be up, but all of the formulas are still correct :)
Also, how many servers are there worldwide? Looks like the prices differ a lot... its like many parallel eve online worlds.
all of the areas are the same server the market is regional compared to galactic.
I cannot find a way to manually state the amount of ore to reprocess... you have to reprocess the WHOLE inventory of a specific ore, right? :(
Shift drag the stack in the hanger and it will give you a dialog to input a number, default is the entire stack. Change the number desired amount you want to work with and press accept and the stack will be split.
Tuttomenui
Awesome! Thanks a lot! :)
I'd love to see how this spreadsheet was made.
I have one more update for this in mind. After I make and post that video, I'm very likely to do a tutorial on how I made this.
I've been holding out a bit, thinking I would learn how to import stuff directly from CREST, but I have little time to learn right now.
+Reload shoot if you can get me caught up and pointed in the right direction I can probably pick up where you left off.
SorenEragon just copy the spreadsheet into your own google docs. There are 3 tabs that are "hidden". When you copy the file and become the owner you'll be able to unlock them and edit everything. The script will be there already. It's slightly modified by me though. Here's the link to the original script: github.com/fuzzysteve/eve-googledocs-script/blob/master/EveCentralPrices.gs
I'll still do the tutorial, as soon as I'll get some time :D
+Reload I already have copies of the spreadsheet. But there are things on it that I don't understand and I'm sure the tutorial would explain. That is what I mostly meant when I said to get me up to speed.
I will be looking forward to the tutorial 😄
SorenEragon Awesome! Lots of people are asking lately. I'll do my best to fast track the tutorial :D
Love you
Much love to you as well
Is this video still relevant? didn't they change the ore types? and if yes, does the spreadsheet still function?
I'm getting negative price values on the spreadsheet ._.
+domesticatedpanda eve central is down at the moment. Once it's back up, the spreadsheet will work again
That explains. Thank you very much ^^
Yeah sorry about that. It's still not fixed. The manual tab will work fine if you enter in the ore/mineral prices yourself. But as long as eve-central is down, the spreadsheet is borked :(
how the fcuk people have time for this?
love your videos btw.
+Runny Fabbit Hehehe thank you! Saving you time, one spreadsheet at a time :D
This is awesome but too bad it isn't updated for current time.
lol does this spreadsheet still work even now? or are there better methods
I hate to be that guy. But doesn't EVE Isk Per Hour do this for you in the mining section?
+Igloo254 I haven't had a chance to try out EVE ISK per Hour. I'll give it a try though. I haven't really used many 3rd party apps with EVE, they used to be very unreliable in my experience. Things could be different now though.
Ok, who took the 'Ore Table' tab? Put it back now, and we can all forget about this and move on. No one will press charges. ;-)
The first formula should look like this:
=$F$5*(('Ore Table'!D2*$B$26)+('Ore Table'!E2*$B$27)+('Ore Table'!F2*$B$28)+('Ore Table'!G2*$B$29)+('Ore Table'!H2*$B$30)+('Ore Table'!I2*$B$31)+('Ore Table'!J2*$B$32)+('Ore Table'!K2*$B$33))/100
All of the formulas are messed up as "E2*$B$26" got stuck in everything. Don't use that, it's always wrong. You will need to fix each one as doing it with copy/paste only works for the first three.
Thanks for the original work Reload, still a huge help.
Please update
so...whats the answer?
raw or reprocessed?
If your reprocessing skills are low don’t do it
If they are high reprocess it
Someone has killed the prices to check box... Could you please work your magic?!
Fixed what I could. Pyerite price is not being accurate for some reason though. You guys are good at breaking protected google sheets xD
..........wait, what? Sorry, I passed out. Spreadsheets make me sleepy.
+ArchAngelThomas Sorry, I have that effect on people at times.
I just want to KNOW how to sell my ore that I have. I have been through 4 youtube vids and 3 posts so far. How difficult can it be to sell ore? WTF is wrong with this game that It has to make everything so difficult
+ZeliardFTW perhaps I should do a very basic market tutorial. Try searching for a market guide, there might be something out there already.
hahah welcome to eve.
That's because 90% of the learning curve in this game is fighting with the incredibly convoluted and unnecessarily complicated interface. Lots of things just take many button presses, not really difficult.
ZeliardFTW me too, no tutorial for it. I just take the ore and deposit accidentaly and i sell. LOL
Basically I just have to find time, but it's totally on my to do list :D
Within a week or two I'll have one more video on an update to this spreadsheet and after that I'll focus on making a "how-to" video.
To be honest this stuff also has real life applications which makes me even more interested, but I've also been really tempted to come back to eve recently. I'm going to resub over the weekend, most likely joining a nullsec corp to shed my carebare habits.
***** Hehehe, I should come back to EVE as well, it's been a while
