1Jn 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jn 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
Pro_28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

Your sins (have been) forgiven. We have already admitted to God that we have sinned. He has forgiven us. Done deal. 1John is not the Christians bar of soap. We were slaves of sin but now slaves to righteousness. Now when we stumble and sin we Look to Jesus and say “ thank you for your blood that was shed for me. Thank you that you have already forgiven me all my sin( past, present, future.) thank you that I’m a new creation in you. Help me to live like who you have made me to be. To know the love of God for you, to know and grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus will help us to sin less. Don’t forget your purification from your past. You are purified. To know our identity in Jesus Christ is of upmost help and importance.

@@weeklybiblestudy777 hey I'm just asking for help I'm always confused if this grace perspective is right or do I always have to ask for forgiveness and try to cut sin out I struggle with ocd and it makes it hard to know which one is right not just that I get very evil thoughts and feelings about the things that can be interpreted as salvation losing stuff like blasphemy of the holy spirit I have done a lot of research but I can never figure it out it sinks in my mind but I always get a what if I'm believing wrong and doing wrong, and especially because I have fallen in to old sins I had been freed of that I don't want to let go like I should because I get enjoyment out of the activity.
