Well thankfully by at least the 4th degree, usually 3rd too, and beyond you don’t feel any pain because the burn at those levels destroys your nerves so there’s that at least.

I had a broken wrist and I felt it everywhere and couldn’t breathe. My dad HAS a slipped disk and gets back pain every year since they got it more than 30 years ago. I feel awful.
Edit: I feel awful FOR MY DAD!! People seem to be mistaking the disc injury for me. My broken wrist was in 2016. So if you were talking about that, thank you.

Fact: a 4 degree burn doesnt hurt. But I guess the simple fact of knowing you have a 4 degree burn is already much of a pain itself.
If I recall correctly, it's because the pain receptor nerve is damaged until you can't feel anything.
I could be wrong, but maybe at the exact same time of the impact you can feel something? Not sure though

I had lumbar back surgery over a decade ago. When I woke up, I was in so much pain! Turns out I have a lot of muscle in my lower back and the doctor had to cut through all of it.

here’s my story. about 2 years back i was going to open my bedroom door and someone was in there. and then right as i opened my door that person was getting out aswell and i accidentally tripped and then hit my head brutally on the wall. there was blood EVERYWHERE. it took a couple months until the last of the pain went away. i have a lot of other stories but this just crosses the line

True story: when I was 5, I was in my friends pool and I fell in and couldn’t swim, I passed out at the bottom, I was seconds away from dying and my dad dived in and got me, I wasn’t breathing, the ambulance came and got me and I stayed in the hospital for a night
I dislocated my shoulder last year and then popped it back in place in Spanish class. I turned around too quick and my arm made a pop noise and my shoulder was back in place. Everyone looked at me like "what the hell was that loud popping noise!?"
