Nothing beating the Gel Resolution for me. Popped some good insoles in them and honestly never trying another shoe again. Has everything I could ask for
Agree that shoes can be really hit or miss - over the last two years, I’ve found that ASICS gel resolution is the easiest most consistently good choice - I know they’ll be great, whereas it’s a bit of roulette with everything else. What’s crazy to me is that I just bought a pair of gel resolution 9s on TW for $99usd, on sale only cause the color wasn’t as “hot” as the new Hugo boss ones lol
I like how Asics made a great shoe with the Reso 3 and has stuck to minor updates every few years. They built a huge following knowing that tennis players hate change
Congrats for the content. What is intriguing me is that probably even some pro players prefer the Nike Vapor Pro 1 despite the release of the Pro 2. Alcaraz, Rune and Fritz are some examples. Fritz was wearing a white Vapor Pro 1 last Saturday during his match in Washington DC ATP 500 Open.
Cool to see you taking on a show review, I’d love to see more in the future! I’ve probably owned a dozen different models of court shoes and my top two are Nike’s Zoom Vapor 9.5 flynit and the ASICS Gel Res 8/9. It’s unfortunate that Nike makes some of the best running shoes in the world and their tennis shoe offerings are so disappointing.
Ive found that asics is generally consistent. I played with the gel resolutions for about 10 years, didnt like the 8s fit so tried the ff2s liked those and am now trying the lacoste lg23 shoes which have been good so far. Durability will probably determine if i go with the ff3s next time around.
I’m enjoying the Nike vapor pro 2s, coming from ASICS gel res 8. They feel super comfortable compared to vapor pro 1s. I guess everyone’s different. I didn’t like the vapor pro 1s at all, not enough cushioning, durability sucked(lasted 1-2 weeks), lots of shock from low to ground feel. Vapor pro 2s, felt very comfortable, heels had extra cushioning and shock absorption, durability(lasted me about 1-2 months) longer than the pro 1s.
I wish ASICS kept making the gel resolution 8s. They were perfect. Don't understand why companies have to keep producing new shoes whilst discontinuing older models, so frustrating.
A well structured personal review . What needs correction is the term X . This is an obvious roman numeral reference on nike and apple products . Vapor 9 leads to 10 as 0S 9 leads to 10 . The only other use of X as a reference , is in experimental .
The Vapor 11 would be great if they used softer, lighter foam. You need two pairs of socks for them. I mostly liked the prior Barricade. The heal does break in and stops rubbing. The new update fixes the issues I had. But the 150-160 US price tag seems too high for me. Adidas priced it too high, it should be in a similar range as the Vapor Pro. ASICS just don’t agree with my feet for some reason. Both the running shoes and their tennis shoes hurt my feet
I hate the new barricades, 6 month in that shoe hasn't broken in, it still gives me blister on the heal, toe is super stiff. It's a horribly designed uncomfortable shoe
To me, the current Nike shoe range (except the GP Turbo) is like the current Wilson racquet line; there's not one that I'd want to own. I've seen there's a new GP in the works so let's see but in the meantime Lotto and Mizuno have my back.
also are you sure you bought the nike vapor pro 2? you were play testing in the video the vapor 11's and it weirldy said 160 bucks on nike page you showed when there 120 and vapor 11 is 160. vapor pro 2 is a liked shore by me and sense we are always on the forefoot while moving, i think its prefered to be in the front.
@@TennCom Its worth a try! I defiantly found them quicker and lower to the ground than the vapor 11. it technically by a millimeter lol. The shoe has more going on in the upper for a much better lockdown than vapor 11 and same sliding and key components of vapor 11 at a better price. stability is the only thing not as good as vapor 11 but not worse in my opinion than the vapor pro 1. Best of all, it is more durable! Just give it one hitting session if you can, it's definitely still one of the most popular tennis shoes on the pro tour over the more expensive alternative for a reason!
I have a high instep and wide forefoot. It’s extremely rare for me to find shoes. But recently I purchased the On Roger pros and I understand they are $200. But my foot feels great. I’m okay with spending a premium to find a shoe that fits me great.
Have you tried the Asics Court FF3? From Foot Doctor Zach's tennis shoe guide they are narrow and long and could fit your foot shape. Also all I've heard is praise for them
I don’t understand what Nike is doing. It just doesn’t seem like they listen to the tennis community or even their players. Alcaraz and Rune both tried the new Vapors and almost immediately went back to the Vapor Pro 1. Dimitrov and Nishikori, two exceptionally clean strikers, still wear the vapor 9.5 or X. You said it exactly, they’re fixing something that isn’t broken.
The Jordan Vapor X re-release is a fantastic shoe. Best shoe Nike has made in years. The outsole durability is great. However, the price is tough for a lot of people.
I personally bought the new-ish Adidas cybersoncis when they where $120 CAD and i think they are a great great speed shoe. Like them so much got a second pair waiting in the closet already.
I'm not sure what to think about Nike. I have been a loyal customer for years, purchasing multiple pairs (4) of Vapor Pro since 2021, my shoe number one. However, having tried new models, none of those have been satisfying compared to the Vapor Pro. In fact, I returned both the Vapor 11 and the Vapor Pro 2 after testing. I wish Nike would be more loyal to customers, it really sucks when you love a shoe and cannot get it anymore, and predecessors simply do not live up to the quality and fit; it makes me turn away from the brand. Hopefully, Nike will rebrand the Vapor Pro custom shoe that Alcaraz is currently wearing on the court.
They sell vapor pro in china- how to get them out of china is a different question- but yes why Nike would discontinue everywhere but sell new release vapor pro in china boggles my mind
Stomped my foot wearing the nike vapor pro (@nike), still suffering from knee injury where its just not healing. Wish i never bought these. 0 cushioning and terrible comfort.
Nothing beating the Gel Resolution for me. Popped some good insoles in them and honestly never trying another shoe again. Has everything I could ask for
I have a wide fat feet. I hate gel res. So much pain. Cage 4 is so much more comfortable.
@@tomk5238 cage 4 were alright. Didn’t like the tongue and toe box
@@tomk5238you should try the gel game or the court ff
What insoles do you like in them?
A very honest opinion about changes in some tennis models . Difficult to see this transparency in some other channels . Congrats.

ASICS make good shoes agree
I don't collect racquets but I do constantly stay on top of shoes since at any time, any model could be discontinued.

You'd think their basketball experience would translate a little better but sometimes it doesn';t even feel like they tested their shoes on court

I like Asics a lot from the outside, but for my feet, the fit just isn't right. If i would use them without blinking if i could.
@@TennCom Try going half a size down. I had this issue until I went half a size less and they fit and lock in like a glove.

Have you ever tried the Adidas Barricade, amazing rock solid shoe, unfortunately they don't make the all black version anymore!

They just gave them a revamp. Very small changes but still has to be noted. Might be worth a try?
@@mathieu08912 yes I’m talking about the new ones. They are horrible. Don’t waste your money. I like Uber sonic however they won’t last long.

How do you know the re-release isn't as durable? I just ordered the a pair and did not wanna hear that lol
i assume the rerelease is as durable as the OG version i just found the OG to have poor durability
@@TennCom oh nooo :/ I’ll definitely use nike’s return policy if it goes bad
can people agree that the new gp challenge 1 shoes coming out, from there description should have been what the vapor 11 was all about?

I think they also have a carbon fibre shank which is super cool!
I love this review. Very nice, keep it up.
And all the pros still used it?
Have you tried the Asics Court FF3? From Foot Doctor Zach's tennis shoe guide they are narrow and long and could fit your foot shape. Also all I've heard is praise for them
the ankle collar with Asics has historically been an issue for me, rubs wrong

It literally feels like such a hack job its so annoying. I don't think the design team plays tennis at all.
Vapor ones are hard to find should I get a pair?
I have since tried the Yonex Eclipsion 4 and I think they play closer to the vapors

that also carry +1000 street cred

You really should try the asics gel resolution or court ff3!

try asics :D. gel resolution or gel solution speed

condolences that sucks
Just merge towards Asics. They are the go-to shoe anyway.
ive struggled with Asics fit in the past as the ankle collar rubs me wrong
No wonder pros still wear their pro 1’s even though the new models have been out for months
I don't understand how Nike doesn't see this as a HUGE red flag lol

I agree. He is the best.
what about ONs?
too expensive and reviews say they are quite wide. Looks like they have something new coming out (IGA and SHelton are wearing it) so you never know
Try the asics solution speed ff 2 i used to use the vapor x and switched to them i am now using the gel resolution 9
K Swiss r ugly. Barricades were terrible for me and ruined my toes lol. Vapour 1 were good. Not sure what to try next.
I agree i just try not to look
So much experience but zero cool compared to you. Taking the Tenncom recommendation every time.
Except on shoes 😅 court ffs for life.
hahaha it might be time for me to try asics again
barricade!! yessir

That k Swiss is trash
why do you say that?
Lolololol
