My name is Sukanti, or some of you may know me as Sarah 🤍 I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling where I studied mainstream psychotherapy and worked in various clinical settings as an intern therapist.
Coming from another angle, I am also grounded in the philosophy of Bhakti Yoga. I speak from a background in Bhakti Literatures such as the Bhagavad-gita, Bhagavat Purana, and other essential yogic texts, etc. I studied this literature while living in a bhakti yoga ashram for four years.

well i am getting old now but i grew up in the 60s as a flower child and never really thought in terms of "my identity". now it seems that it's a big thing, identity. people are confused i was just always me, skipping down the path of life, discovering, engaging and adventuring. learning how to be a good gardener of the soul. learning how to make my life, learning how to be. you are right, the world is confusing, but it's like a puzzle and the more pieces you snap into place the clearer the picture gets. thanks, Peace

Thoughts that came up, is my own redefining of my identity as I was forced into a new phase of life, by life itself - being widowed and retired almost at the same time. What helped me was to reflect on what I see as my ultimate goal of life and how I need to reorient my activities with this goal in mind. I also experienced the need to still be of some service and am slowly bringing all of this together. It takes time, but I can see it is worthwhile aiming for a simple life, but also feel the need for high thinking. Thank you for helping in the process.

I’m just trying to equate how you can live a simple life and have 4! different kinds of milk in your fridge 🤔. Also, identifying yourself with your profession is a very American thing. As a European who lived in the states for 12 years I always found people were never interested in the person in front of them but the profession you are and how they could use that to their own advantage. I believe you call that networking. It wasn’t a society for me. In Europe we are more interested in the person, not the title.
