I remember once when my dad gave me money to pay the electricity bill but instead i bought a raffle ticket for a brand new car. When i got home,i explained to my dad what i did and he beat the crap out of me. But the next day,when my dad woke up and opened the door,outside my house was a brand new car. We all cried especially me,because the car was from the electricity company,they were there to cut off the electricity, my dad beat the crap out of me again.

More options for after market. Plenty of hood specs to go for too. Same with the front end though.

I tried to trade in my Bugatti Veyron for an Accent and the dealership wouldn't take it. They told me the Accent is only for extreme enthusiast who can handle the raw power of the 3 cylinder diesel. The torque alone could snap necks from just merely idling. If you remove the brick under the gas pedal it's a federal offense and summons 10 heavily armed pursuit fighter jets to the scene.

The Accent's engine idles at 100000rpm under 1000psi of boost. It runs off of solid coal lumps and compresses it into diamonds.
The accent is just an unbelievable car I mean like it makes around 4206942069hp stock pushing over 696969lbs of boost

I did a road trip when I was like23,24 in '92 Civic VX with no cruise control. I drove more than 500miles for like 4days I didn't know about how the cruise control was back then lol.
the cruise control aspect was done so that you can easily swap the steering wheel

Short Throw & Transmission Fluid will help you massively. It did on my FRS and with my Urethane shifter bushing it went to a super hard to move, no slop, non knotchy shifter.
No Cruise Control = Weight savings

Iv never used cruise control in 10 years of driving I don’t think that’s a big deal at all
I highly recommend getting the redline MT 90. Used it in a couple transmissions I used to have and you will definitely like it. Cold-weather shifting is a breeze
I have the MT90 in my Speed3. It is a good fluid once it's warned up, when I start the car in the morning the shifting is rough for like 10 minutes. After that its buttery smooth
Installed a short throw shifter in my 2013 3.8 track, helps a ton, felt like a different car
Genesis is one of the best sub 20k cars. RWD coupe with plenty of power. Looks good and it's pretty reliable.

Get the piece of the grill that goes across the middle above the intercooler wrapped in gloss black, it looks really good.
I always wondered what Butters from South Park would look like all grown up.
I put redline in my old E46 BMW, it made shifting way way better especially cold. Mix ATF in with the fluid to thin it out.
Cruise control must be an option? My 2014 2.0T RSpec has cruise control with the manual 6 speed.
Can confirm Redline gear oil helps. Put some in the shifter turret and trans of my Miata and it feels great
One thing I hate about the Genesis front end is the fake air scoops on the hood, I'd go actual mesh look or something.

okay i have a few comments all possitive haha. I have a 2012 3.8 track for reference. what trans mount did you go with? ive heard that they help like you said in your video. and also if your ever in IL at BTR we have a pretty big genesis coupe car club that BTR is actually apart of and sam tunes all of our cars. He has his own genesis and a veloster just to name a few of his own builds. keep on making yalls videos always enjoy them.

What year is the car?
im thinking about getting a 2014-16 genesis coupe, my budget is 20k and under. is this the most powerful, unique, newer coupe in my budget w/o getting a mustang or camaro that you see everyday? I wanted a GTO, but im getting help for a down payment from my grandmother, and it has to be a "newer" car...
The Pre-facelift Genesis Coupe interior looks so much better
the tuning problem is specific to the 3.8 now :') the 2.0t has a lot more tuning options lol
Have you considered trading your Genesis in for another one with black seats and cruise control? Maybe even a track edition that's fully loaded. Since you like it so much that you want to boost it, maybe get similar car that you already have but with options that you really want. I used to have a 2012 3.8 track, it was a great car!
Those red seats tho! I'd say don't get rid of them. Keep it sharp!
Just bought a my first hyundai 2011 3.8 track geny with 8500 miles for less than 15g$ almost mint let me know what you think
I think the front looks awesome! also the auto rev matching would come with the 8 speed automatic not with the r-spec at least.
i actually read somewhere that is you change your blinker fluid to the green stuff a cruise control button will grow out of the steering wheel. Can some one explain this? It doesn't really make sense to me.
In my country, Genesis 2.0t 274hp cost about the same as Audi TT V6 3.2 dsg. Both second hand. Which one should I go for? I know that the TT is N/A so it doesn't allow many upgrades. Quality is on its side. The same as being AWD. The Genesis is more upgradeable for sure. That transmission is a step back though. The looks are great on both. Don't know what to do. Heeeelp

why don't you install additional cruise control? It is not possible for your car?

i would do some cosmetic upgrades like do a headlight black out by opening up the glass and getting that chrome line thing blacked out,but yea all in all nice car i would get one,whats it like in the snow?
2014 Gen Coupe R spec has Cruise Control. I sent pics to your fb thing with pic of mine, my grill is a lot different. Thanks for the advice on the shifter.
Glad my RSX shifter is buttery smooth even being a 2002. Glad there are tons of aftermarket parts for this car an there are a lot of aftermarket parts.
ryan what made you choose BTR over SFR for the tune?
no cruise control is such a minor pain, i've done 8+ hour drives countless times with no cruise. and i've got lanky ass awkward legs. it'd never stop me from taking my car somewhere. everyone's different i guess. all the other points were good. solid video

Thanks for the vid guys, I have been thinking about getting a genesis 2.0T or 3.8, after watching this im a little weary now. I did not like the sound of that shifting.. Doesn't look very smooth at all. I guess I should go out and test drive one for myself.

What about getting the non-r Spec steering wheel? Most cruise controls are based within the steering wheel
the "facelift" it needs is an AUDI style mesh grill. just plasti dip some really fine chicken wire and apoxy it to the inside of the bumper cover. that would look pretty good. (coming from an S4 owner)

Have a Hyundai coupe 02 v6 2.7 and it has cruise control, weird that such a new car doesn’t?

The no cruise control was only on the BK2 r spec I have the 2010 r spec and it has cruise control in it plus the BK2 has the GDI motor which is the reason it is hard to tune again the 2010 motor has plenty of options for tuning

beyond redline performance in Green Bay specializes in Genesis coupes highly suggest checking them out. They do custom tuning and make ridiculous genesis coupes that straight up fly

I have a bolted/tuned 370z and a stock 15 3.8 gen coupe - the gen stays right with the Z. Z corners better - gen tends to lose its ass end slower than the Z but def a fun ass car to bang gears on back roads.... I just gotta give it to the VQ at the end of the day..

Eh, it's not like that. We can all find things we think would be better in the things we love, that's all he's doing here. This was also the 1st Gen, the 2nd Gens (2014-x) improved a lot on the things he's mentioned.
You ever gonna get the btrcc ecu so you can do burnouts in the genny? I know it is throttle-by-wire which means you cant press the gas and break at same time.

weird. all 3 of my cars have cruise control, 2 of them with the radar adaptive type. i do a lot of driving, but never use on any vehicle. to each his own..... cant see ever wanting it to use it on my manual car though, 2016 Chevy SS.

I drive a Jeep TJ Wrangler and the thing that bugged me the most was the manual shift light that came with it. The damn thing goes off every time you get to 2k rpm and would go off even when it was in final gear. Needless to say I removed and trashed that light because Jeeps are the last thing that need a shift light.

eI own a 2011 Mustang GT and I feel you, I love my car but I also hate a lot of things about it. I myself love the front of my Mustang, especially with the upgraded Boss 302 lower fascia and grill. The lower suspension and staggered Forgestar wheel also make the car look 10x better. However I feel the rear part of my car is not best, specially the tailights. I can change the rear with tailights from a 13-14 Mustang and also change the bumper but doing so cost around 1400.00 and well that's too much for replacing something that ain't broken. My car seats are also a pain, they are unconfortable specially the top part which is leaned too much forward which hurts my neck on long distances. Oh and by the way, the lack of cruise control is most definatly do to weight savings and because racecar bro, kidding aside that sucks big time not having cruise control. You do get use to it though, after all I do own a motorcycle that has no cruise control and an older bmw 2002 so it's not that big of a deal.
