A lot of churches I have been to and seen online will give a scripture that they’re message is based on but never actually explain that passage but instead use it as a supporting piece for the topic they wish to discuss. Yes. All Scripture when studied has a main point but I don’t want to miss what the passage say or really mentioned . That’s why expository preaching is important to get what the scripture said
Topical preaching is what most people who claim to do expository preaching actually do.
All scripture when studied has a main point (topic) that can be broken down in order to teach a point (topic) I don't get your point.
