Hello Dr. Asaad, awesome video. Fellow IMG from Colombia here looking to match in a surgical residency. Your videos are truly inspiring. Thank you for this content and keep up the good work!!!
Ahlan ya assad ya abnu sham ya lion, I'm an IMG from Brazil. Thank you to make this channel focused in help another's physicians who want to start a new live in America. I wanna be an ortopedic surgeon of knee, I will be so glad of more IMGS interviews about it. Allah maak habib God bless you always 🙏 ❤
I wanted to ask for your advice on a few things: 1. How can I secure US Clinical Experience (USCE) in surgery? Any specific programs or contacts you'd recommend? 2. What steps should I be focusing on now to strengthen my application for a surgery residency match? 3. I've heard that doing a year of Emergency Medicine residency can potentially open doors for a surgical residency. Is this a viable pathway, and what are the pros and cons?
Oh thank you so much dude for making this video and delivering it to people. You don't know what I was going through but now I feel better. Looking at your journey inspires me.
Hello doctor . Thank you for taking the time out to make this video and explain the different pathways. I had a question and would highly appreciate it if you could answer it. I did step 1 and failed once but on my second attempt i passed and i also took step2 ck and got 250. That being said i was wondering what would be my odds of matching into neurosurgery as a non-us img with these results.
I know US IMG are citizen and green card holders are non US but how are they looked at by programs? Does somebody with a green card and good step scores has a good chance of matching categorical?
