I've finished the marathon video! lol It's A Wonderful Life is based on a book called The Greatest Gift by Philip vanDoren Stern, it's quite good! Just finished a good Jewish horror novella yesterday called The Ghosts of Rose Hill by R.M. Romero, its YA but well worth the short time it takes to read. I read a really strange book about 12th century Nuns called Matrix by Lauren Groff, it fits best in the historical fiction genre but goes off the rails a few times. Philosophically I'm a modernist and don't try to keep traditions alive, the past is something to be well informed about but not treasured. (Just an opinion side note) My best book in December was The Wedding People by Alison Espach which is literary/women's fiction with some darker subject matter. But the most interesting was Lois the Witch and other Gothic Tales by Elizabeth Gaskell which had a good Salem Witch trial story and the origonal appearance of Lassie the border collie which surprised me.
I have read and enjoyed many of these books. I was pleasantly surprised by The Queen and The Haunting of Velkwook. 🖤🤗📚

@@zachreads sounds like a similarly eclectic mix. Going to have to try a few of those myself.
