Operation Piggy City
A nasty rookie cop that doesn't use gloves. She's like Barry from Resident Evil.
Fire 🔥!!
4/10
this movie really represents what I love about A24. while its never verbalized in the film owen is transgender and both characters are clearly autistic *(which is very real, since many kids grow up without even knowing those concepts exist, making them unable to name it)* and the film broadly portrays this with no attempt at trying to pander to people who won't relate to either, making it a very raw and real experience if you do. I just know that many *many* other studios would try to pander to a broader audience trying to cut down on the akwardness of being an autistic kid and being a lot more direct with the trans message, and right after processing this movie I just knew its score would be low, two autistic kids being akward and discovering themselves is definetely not what I would classify as a movie most people would want to watch, and I'm actually perfectly fine with that, this is a niche movie with a niche audience that sacrifices no rawness at trying to pander and I wouldn't want it any other way, and for me that's the definition of a 10/10 movie.
It's about woman beaters
Great review 😊
I like how it's romance heavy in January, things like that tend to be a bit late if it was the Feb pack. If you want even more sexy horror Luna Fury's newest Halloween novella is free on Kindle at the moment! It's called "Seduced by the Fae Princess", it takes place on Halloween at a costume party, and the sequel is on the same night and has cultists summoning a Lovecraftian horror!
Trying to sound educated doesnt make you educated, you sound like a smart idiot
Nice review 😊
@@forestduffe5576 thanks
I have read and enjoyed many of these books. I was pleasantly surprised by The Queen and The Haunting of Velkwook. 🖤🤗📚
I've finished the marathon video! lol It's A Wonderful Life is based on a book called The Greatest Gift by Philip vanDoren Stern, it's quite good! Just finished a good Jewish horror novella yesterday called The Ghosts of Rose Hill by R.M. Romero, its YA but well worth the short time it takes to read. I read a really strange book about 12th century Nuns called Matrix by Lauren Groff, it fits best in the historical fiction genre but goes off the rails a few times. Philosophically I'm a modernist and don't try to keep traditions alive, the past is something to be well informed about but not treasured. (Just an opinion side note) My best book in December was The Wedding People by Alison Espach which is literary/women's fiction with some darker subject matter. But the most interesting was Lois the Witch and other Gothic Tales by Elizabeth Gaskell which had a good Salem Witch trial story and the origonal appearance of Lassie the border collie which surprised me.
@@zachreads sounds like a similarly eclectic mix. Going to have to try a few of those myself.
Loved it! Such a good movie
Kinda vague on the opinion part lol.
That kid was an idiot and caused his fathers demise!!
Great video to start the new year 😊
12 days of Christmas goes til Jan 6 so your still in the clear for the holiday cheer!
The Jurassic Dead is tons of fun! And uses a practical dinosaur
It's also called Z Rex. 😂 It's a choice stinker. 😂
@@pwwise sounds like a good description. Ha!
This background 👏
I’ve seen one of these movies which is Cherry Tree. I remember it being an pretty decent folk horror movie, I do own Haunter but i still haven’t watched it
@@LiamDalley-jd1kc cool. Looking forward to it
Oooh! I really like Haunter! It's really good! Always a good time for ho‐ho‐horror!
@@zachreads good to hear. Sounds like one I’ll like
Brother i work at a movie theater and i can’t tell you how many people walked out of that film and i was stupid enough to go see if with a friend who said it was interesting, it really wasn’t at all
I strongly feel that trying to sell this as a horror movie was a mistake. And im saying that as someone that was in it.
@@ThornyLittleFlower I’m even cool with it marketed as horror-I think it fits-but it’s certainly a different KIND of horror than the marketing led me to think.
@Phobophile definitely in the 'not what it says on the tin' category. but was fun to do. Im the one in the woods grabbing people 😅and the location in Gareloch, Scotland was stunning.
@ I bet that was a blast!
I know this is based off a book, but whoever wrote the book bid off the book of Enoch and the Bible and twisted it around. It was a decent movie you could tell the old lady was one of them, but it was a good movie
Full Brutal & Toxic Love by Kristopher Triana Bighead from Edward Lee Man Cave from Angel Gelique The Summer I Died: The Roger Huntington Saga from Ryan C.Thomas Edward Lee, Kristopher Triana, Jon Athan, Angel Gelique, Ryan C.Thomas, Matt Shaw, Wrath James White are some pretty good writers for sick stuff. the most sick, disturbing, gruesome, most graphic book is "Man Cave" in my opinion. It's absolutely disgusting.
I've read most (not quite all) of those authors. And yeah, they're pretty good for extreme stuff. Haven't tried Man Cave yet, though.
😊😊😊❤❤❤... Looking forward to some good book reviews this year 😊
@@forestduffe5576 they’re coming. The one for December is going to be a beast
@Phobophile 💯👍
Definitely some surprises there I’m going to use as watch/read recommendations. And, I’m humbled to have been included. Right on about The Carols of Cthulhu - now you’ve got a whole year to hone your extra-dimensional ululations to horrify us, one and all with your singing. 😅
@@reddukegames5693 to be fair, my singing would horrify everyone anyway
Great choices! Happy New Year!
Happy new year!
Well I lied about buying Carols of Chulu, it's a bit too expencive at the moment (especially bc I'm getting one for me and one for a friend), but it's wishlisted and I'll pounce on a price drop. But I did buy Haunting of Velkwood!
So none of them thought to call the cops?
I’m sorry. What?
We’ve got tickets for Thursday. Really excited since I’ve seen all of Robert Eggers’ movies in theaters, however I still need to buy a copy of the Northman.
Definitely the weakest of eggers films for me . Still good yes for sure . More style over substance id say without question however. I’d rank them as the the witch being his best by a country mile . Then The Northman . Then lighthouse and nosferatu last
@@julianmitchell5776 sounds about right to me
One of the best; mesmirazing-good, charismatic Reviews that I have seen. So good!
@@incrivelhulk6951 why thank you!
I HATED THIS MOVIE. Love modern horror films, but i feel like this movie just completely missed the mark.
I like your night worms videos. I always try to wait to open mine, but never can. I'm currently reading Cold Snap, and will dive into the anthology one of these cold, damp, dark nights.
@@tamaraw3620 I haven’t started either one yet, but I think I probably will manage both this season
Nice review 😊
christmas skeleton!
@@Jasshat all my household skeletons are wearing their festive attire this season
What is your goal? I hit mine of 140 in october. Currently reading Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr and at about 65% it's Great! More literary fiction but there's still horror to be had. Why don't ghosts wear enderwear in December?… So it's easier to get into the Christmas spirit!
@@zachreads I’m aiming for 100. But that doesn’t count the unpublished manuscripts I read.
no one batting an eye on how he has deadman's blood
Great review on these intriguing books 😊
@@forestduffe5576 thanks!
Well, some of these reads certainly surprised me, although nothing should at this point! 😂 I'm currently reading After the People... and am now curious about Coup de Grace. I don't normally read romance - but I can confirm 2009 romance is considerably more tame than contemporary romance. I find my curiosity piqued by Midnight Investigation, and may read it if I can find a very cheap copy. Thanks for another entertaining video.
@@tamaraw3620 heh. Just wait til you see the weird set Ive been reading this month! Haha
@Phobophile I read Coup de Grace. Thank you for mentioning the "choose your own" turn it takes. Since I was ready for it and it didn't slap me in the face, I believe knowledge added to my enjoyment.
I really liked the little metro ticket we got with it!
@ agreed. I did like the little ticket. Those kinds of extra things are always fun.
This was one of the worst horror movies ive ever seen
That butterfly knife!!!
Needs sharpened, but it wouldn't be one of my videos without it!
@Phobophile that's cool I want one now lol

@@forestduffe5576 glad to be of service
Dude you scared the shit out of me. Just finished watching the movie. Smoking a cigarette out on my porch at 4 AM and then I see you smiling.
@@AlenDelon-x6i ha! My work here is done!
