I have yet to read Firelord, but I know Parke Godwin from his other works and his range appears to have been endless. I highly recommend any of the following: Darker Places, A Truce with Time, The Fire When it Comes (short stories), Waiting for the Galactic Bus, and the Snake Oil Wars. He could do mystery, horror, humor, psychological drama, philosophical satire, dark fantasy, historical fantasy, and whatever else he tried his hand at. And all in a prose that is tight, seamless, and beautiful.
What perfect timing! I started reading the book a couple of days ago. I'm enjoying it so far.
I tracked Firelord and the Robin Hood books and bought them based on the recommendation from this discussion. Thank you!!!
