I've been kicking myself for missing the campaign, but I late pledged for it, and am very excited about it. Everything in it looks amazing.... except those custom dice. I'm not a fan of those. They look confusing. We'll see once I have them in hand; worst case, I'll just replace them with some other dice.

Not a fan of the custom dice, the Castle Minis seem OK (as they aren't needed) although as I'd only play CoB with the expansions (to make the game interesting for me) I don't see how the shields expansion would work with the mini's, so I'd need to use the Castle tiles with that expansion module anyway.
Hi guys, thanks for the playthrough. At min 20:00 can you place a wine tyle on the second level if the first has not been completed? The wineyard extension looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to play it. I must say though, I am very disappointed with the new dice. It is so difficult to read them in particular your opponent(s). Great video!
@@gurnblanston2848 thank you for the info, but if I understand correctly, he didn't try it yet, he's just excited that you can also use it to spice up a two or three player count. But maybe I didn't understand everything, English is not my first language ☺
@@sandrabasel1545 You have it right. He said he has not tried it yet, but he's excited by what he's read about it, and the way he describes it makes it sound pretty fun. He also mentions that the rulebook talks about 2 solo modes, an original one and a new one. The way he describes the new one makes it sound fun for solo, and he mentions you can use it to add in a 3rd player if you have just two people. I wish he had tried it so he could give a full opinion, but it sounds encouraging.
It sounds like they didn't include the solo expansion board that you can get for the original version of the game. Although if I want to play solo I just play it online against an AI or against opponents on BGA.
I dont like the dice. They look really hard to read with 4 pips on every dice and then the real pips! Strange design choice. They also look nothing like the dice faces that are printed on the boards. When my copy comes I think I will be replacing those straight away.

It’s a shame the words on the back are ONLY the cardboard.. I upgraded to acrylic but it Doenst include that,. So it’s an upgrade to feel, downgrade to functionality.

Still on the fence, what I wonder is if anything stuff from the gamefound campaign exclusive? Like you can’t get it anyway else.
AR has confirmed the dice will be re-designed.

I am on the fence, love the look, hate the fact that the box is so big ... more solo is a big pro..
Rahdo talks about the new solo mode in his final thoughts video for the game. Makes it sound very good.

The new solo mode is Feld approved. I'd be surprised if AR didn't release anything before the pledge manager closes.
