Great video. Have you guys been over to Coolaney in Sligo yet? I believe they are currently in the process of building Irelands biggest downhill trail. Should be epic. Also Blessingbourne in Tyrone is decent, just no real elevation. Ps I've subscribed. Keep the cool vids coming 🤘
Thanks, haven't been to those places yet, hopefully I'll check them out. At the moment we're planning a trip to Bike Park Wales and at some point in the distant future Morzine :)
Nice edit, quite instructive. Looks very much like the Black Mountain I ride in the S-W of France... Where is that spot located? I'm planning to visit your green beautiful country pretty soon. Cheers mates!!
I really appreciate that François! Are there many trails around you, uplifts? France is sick .. I'd love to head over to Morzine next year! There are so many trails just south of Dublin, in Wicklow county more precise, you could literally cycle 365 days and you'd still do a different trail every time, not much of an altitude gain though.
@@suspensioncheck Morzine? don't go there: there are too many English (LOL). Joke apart, I never went there, even if I rode in the Alps many times (Swiss Wallis mainly, extraordinary, and around Chamonix as well). I live in Toulouse, S-W, so the Pyrénées mountains are close, with many resorts including uplifts and shuttles (the most known must be Vallnord in Andorra, but there are so many other magic places, one life wouldn't be enough to ride everything). It's interesting to see that there are some good spots to ride nearby Dublin. I'm sometimes thinking about moving to work and live in Ireland, even if the grass isn't greener there... or a little bit let's say ;) Also I have to admit that there are much more opportunities where I live, including that by car, I'm 3 hours far from Ainsa's Zona Zero in Spain. Have you been there? Check it out, it's a dream place for MTB, among others... Cheers!
@@francoisjoly7696 Hey, I'm actually going to Morzine next month with a group of lads, can't wait! My parents used to work 20 years ago for a company based in Toulouse & Bucharest. Andorra is amazing, closest I've been was Madrid -> Barcelona for the sea. Amazing places, not even jealous :)
Great video pal.i have a cube stero 160 hybrid full power emtb at the min and am seriously thinking of getting a rise ,how much of a difference is there between the two is the rise closer to a regular bike with some assistance or just an underpowered e-bike
I had exactly same bike cube stereo hybrid 160 2021 and changed over to this. It's no difference in terms of power because I upped it to 75nm, 5kg lighter and has no drag. Only difference is that it goes through the battery quicker in turbo at 75nm. If you do mainly turbo spins I would suggest stay with a full fat otherwise Rise all the way.
Hi, thx 4 the video m8. I'm on the verge of getting a Rise, the only thing that keeps me busy is that Shimano motor rattle. Is it tolerable, is it louder when the terrain gets rougher or is it always the same? Cheers!
Hi buddy, let me start by saying I'm a bit of a noise freak as I completely eliminate any sounds, creaks from anything I have, I replace my wipers way ahead of time for example, service car/bike/forks/bearings way before time as well. Had the Cube Stereo Hybrid 160 2021 before with the Bosch motor but I would choose EP8 all day because of no drag, the difference in drag between them 2 is incredible. I couldn't hear any rattle and the terrain I ride has plenty rocks, I honestly thought my bike doesn't have that issue until a mate showed me the chainring moves a few mm when you pull it with your hand, so I imagine it makes sound but I can't hear it. What I do hear is the front cables rattling even though I added cable tips. I'll probably do something about them in future but they are not that annoying. That being said, I don't know other's experience, I was afraid of this issue as well before I got it but I'm nothing but happy with it so far (2-3 months). Make sure to subscribe if you're interested in seeing my progress with the build ✌️
@@suspensioncheck Thx 4 the heads up m8! Yeah i'm a creak freak as well, not so easy to live with :) Currently on a Levo and that thing is deadly silent.. How is the Rise coming from a full fat emtb? Enough power? Maybe the rattle is less noticable when your focus is on the trail.
@@JULKEmtb so I can compare it to Bosch, Levo and Kenevo SL and the Yamaha from the new Giant and it is the most silent one. In terms of power it is identical or close to identical to a full fat, if my Bosch was 85nm this goes to 85nm in StUnlocker but feels like 75nm in reality and battery goes down faster in turbo and holds more in eco/trail. This is explained by having smaller batteries so drawing more amps doesn't go great but 60nm think it's the sweet spot
@@suspensioncheck Yes, meanwhile i also did a testride with the Rise. What a machine! So serene on the climbs, quieter than my Levo. The ratte is noticable dough, i guess its something you have 2 get used to. The power output is spot on (for me) so i bought me 1. Thx for the info man!
This video is very good, on a very fast track and in areas the plae can train the skill.
Congratulations on the channel, I already subscribed
I appreciate that, I'll try upload more often!

What camera do you film with?
Gopro 9
Where are these trails!
Djouce, Wicklow buddy
Whats the name of the second trail?
💪💪💪
Irn Bru in the wet? No thanks! That's my worst nightmare lol.
There's a rocky section there near the end that I always walk, it's just not worth the risk
