    The reason one was sweeter than the other is that you allowed the one on the right to separate. If you stirred it they should have tasted the same.

    Yo thanks, John. I was so close to buying the hurom 200 because its on sale right now. But Im a bartender and Ill be using the juicer for citrus more often than not. So this is the only juicer that has the proper citrus attachment. Cold pressing the citrus fruits makes for a more bitter juice because it incorporates the bitterness of the pith. So this juicer is the only one that offers the traditional way of juicing citrus while still having all the cool aspects of the cold press. Thanks for making these videos John. Very informational and helpful! Subscribed

    I just recently discovered that a full organically grown lemon (all if it, just rinsed) on my centrifugate of carrots and celery and apples is delicious, and much better than the only lemon "water". The skin has a lot of interesting aromas (the ones you get in the Limoncello liqueur) that the "water" lacks.

    John I have a friend who has some serious arthritis in the hands and as a result has to use a centrifugal juicer. There is a desire there to get into a slow juicer. The question I have is if a food processor is used to prepare and chop the produce, would that add more oxygen and oxidation produce before it's juiced?
    No point in going through this if nutritional value is going to be back down to a centrifugal juicer as a result of chopping the food in cuisinart type thing.
    Vacuum juicing is out of the question here due to the arthritic condition.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would recommend the Nama J2 Juicer, it does all the "processing for you". Its really easy to use. No food processing necessary. th-cam.com/video/kvW9oOFJBvA/w-d-xo.html

    • @gmpas
      @gmpas ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes thank you I'm aware of the NAMA 2. I currently use a dynapro vacuum blender that I bought from you. I'm the guy that was trying to squeeze pulp from and Alexa bag with an orange squeezer...
      anywhere is wondering if you had any experience using a food processor to chop up your stuff when your bulk juicing instead of sitting there with your knife.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@gmpas use a food processor with the S blade, will oxidize the produce MORE than chopping manually. Using the food processor with the shredding or slicing disc may oxidize a little more than cutting with a knife. The goal is to do the LEAST damage to the produce before processing.

    • @gmpas
      @gmpas ปีที่แล้ว

      thanks John. I was kind of leaning toward that thinking but not in that order of devices. but you are correct in my particular case the goal is the least oxidation. so I guess I'll throw out my metal knives and pick up a ceramic set.
      I'm always looking for higher efficiency with this stuff but until it becomes possible to go through the juice prep process faster and maintain the desired quality, from me it's worth a little bit of extra effort to continue cutting by hand. that should be my biggest problem in life 😎.

      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Vaccum Juicing (with a vacuum blender) IMO makes the most nutritious and highest yield juice if you want to do the work. See th-cam.com/video/7ILENcNpVOw/w-d-xo.html where I compare vacuum juicing to the other best juicers of 2022 and I explain the difference and show the process.

      We bought both due to the fact that work has us maintain 2 households far from each other. Hubby has the J2 and I have the Kuvings. He came home for TG and used mine. He says Nama wins. On the Kuvings the bowl broke during the first few uses. Hubby says the threads connecting the bowl to the upper housing are too wide and create stress on the bowl which broke it while operating. Engineers! I still like the Kuvings a lot, it's very fast but it's also noisy. That can be heard during the end of the juicing session of the trimmed oranges in John's video.

      I have put thru things like apple seeds, pear seeds, watermelon grapefruit, orange, lemon, lime seeds in this juicer without incident. I have juiced all fruit skins even like pineapple skin without a problem. Do not put pits into this juicer, such as cherry pits, apricots, peaches, plums, mangoes. The machine would be covered under warranty if something happened and you were juicing the fruit seeds/skins that I mention.

    John regarding bulk juicing. is it more efficient and effective to use the nama 2 or can I get just as much yield in about the same amount of time with my dynapro vacuum juicer?. if we just talking a few minutes here no big deal but if it's a significant amount of time I might consider changing over to the nama 2. although I don't know if I can give up those super smooth pulpless and nutritionally very robust experiences over a few minutes of time saving.
    so when you bulk juice do you set it up for the week or a few days? how much juice you actually make for a week for yourself? PS I'm using the vacuum seal storage that you laid out on your videos.
    just curious how long does it take to make that amount whatever it is in the name of two versus the dynapro?

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You will get more yield and a more nutritious juice from the dynapro vacuum juicing than the nama j2. That being said, it will take SIGNIFICANTLY longer. Because you have to precut the ingredients, load them properly, blend and then hand squeeze. That is why I use the Nama J2 90% of the time, it would just take me TOO LONG to vacuum juice. If I had a partner or worker, I would have them vacuum juice for me, but there are many other things I can do with that time.
      I bulk juice from 5-8 quarts at a time in general, which is for the week. My goal is to drink 2-3 quarts a day. I have not made large quantities (over 2-3 quarts) in the dynapro, it just takes me too much time.

    What is the point of the flip down flip up gate? Is it to prevent stupid people from placing too many large apples or oranges in at the same time or what. Or is it basically useless - an excuse to add a bunch of $$$ to the cost of the juicer.

    • @discountjuicers
      @discountjuicers  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have never been a fan of the flip down gate. It is there for SAFTEY reasons. If it was not there, the chute would be too large to pass SAFETY regulation standards. The new kuvings model AUTO10 that will be released later this month deletes the flip down gate and you can put even LARGER fruit it in!

    • @FrothingFanboy
      @FrothingFanboy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@discountjuicers Sorry to be so slow - but if the present chute size (requiring the gate) is excessive according to safety regulation standards, then why would an even larger chute not require the flip down gate as well?
      Less than a year ago they introduced the 830 and now they are coming up with yet another model. Sure wish I knew what was going on here. :)
      Re orange juice. Our supermarket here sells freshly-squeezed, non pasteurized orange juice, in small and large bottles. They keep it on ice for a couple of days. It is really nice. I wonder if they peel all those thousands of oranges first - I doubt it. So would that mean they are squeezing the entire orange - peels & all? Why can't we do the same here at home with the 830 (which I have) instead of cutting them in half and juicing with that citrus attachment thingy.
      I wish I still had my auger-type. Also as a food processor, twin auger types are superior to the 830.

    still prefer the white colour machine and the traditional remer style attachment. I wonder if the new Sana 848 will come with attachments too ? My biggest wish is a heavy duty base to be able to have the different attachments on top, like a juicer, citrus juicer, sorbet maker, food processor and a blender, 1 base many attachments ! The new Vita mix's are getting close, thanx for the video always love learning about new products and comparisons, happy new year John. 🥳🍉🍓🫐🥥🥬🥒🍍🥭

      that said he doesn't seem to care much about the website as long as it works. it's true that in today's world that particular website is a pain in the ass to navigate and it's not very useful on a phone or a small screen (I wonder how much money he leaves on the table or how much business is lost as a result) guess it's just not a priority for his business model.
