DZI beads originates from Tibet a clean and holy place. My grandma seen DZI moving and coming out from soil like insects.
It didn't originate from Tibet.
That's what lama la mentioned here
It originated from middle East and became popular for it's positive significance in life and many other qualities then it was brought to Tibet.
Without empowerment its just another piece of crystal
