- Today it is time to leave Koh Samui and Return to Pattaya. We have 5 hours remaining on the Island and we will see and experience as much of the beauty as possible before boarding the Ship back to Pattaya. We visit several scenic locations and I detail the entire booking process at the end.

Hi, Lucus & Vee, I enjoyed your series Koh Samui what a beautiful island and as you have said so much to see and do. You said you have one week to go before India, You are in for the biggest culture shock of your life. I have travelled all over the world and India has had the biggest effect on my life. It changed me as a man. The poverty next door to the opulence is staggering. India is a place you have to visit for yourself because I can't put into words what you are about to experience. You will either love it or hate it. You decide.

Great information Loucous... I'm in the process of booking to travel from Koh Samui and road trip to Udon Thani later this month. I don't think I could live anywhere else in Thailand after 8 beautiful year's living on the island 🏝️😎

Yes, some Islands here are too small though, but I think Samui is big enough where you wouldn't get Island Fever 👍🙏
Was there with my girlfriend in Jan 2020 just before Covid. Love Koh Samui and it’s beaches . Would be nice to take the ship and avoid all that road traffic. Nice vlog Loucas
yeah, give it a try Andrew, the cabin is a bargain if you have 2 people. Going solo, the sleeping pod is the better option.

That ferry is now defunct, there are hopes about a new one starting. Many people miss that service.

Good info n nice alternative way to travel to n fr Koh Samui…which looks like it’s recovering now. Forget how nice Samui is with its nice beaches scenery n laid back resorts n restaurants. A more healthier n nicer place to visit as it’s tropical paradise compared to a beach city that’s Pattaya. Thx for the info!!😉😎

thanks for the tour of Koh Samui! I saw some places I recognized from other videos - it's weird when that happens! It is such a beautiful place. I think it would be hard to leave after just a couple of days. Do you have a favorite island in Thailand? Not sure if I'll speak to you again before the India trip so I will say "safe travels" now just in case:)
Looks the perfect place for a motorcycling holiday. I certainly wouldn't want to go back to Pattaya. Two days isn't long enough. I think I was there for three weeks in 1987. A very different place then.

This would be a nice route to Phuket and other Western/Southern Thailand destinations.
Yeah, I could have taken the small ferry to Surat Thani and ridden over to Phuket and been there for dinner time on the first day if I wanted to 👍🙏

I stayed in Bophut for a few months 20 years ago - it was lovely back then, no big resorts, and more shophouses and ramshackle bars. I knew some great characters - including an old expat guy who used to smoke weed at his bar all day, with 5000 baht in his pocket at all times, just in case the police came to visit!

I remember Samui well before the airport.
Then very much the backpacker's resort with cheapish bungalows
I guess most resorts started as cheap youngish places.
Of course, I'm no longer young though I'm still cheap.
Yeah, maybe. But I remember Koh Samet with just 2 resorts and hardly any roads but not really a backpackers place.

Question for you. How can I as a tourist know the destinations of bath bus?
I opted to go the fast way, so I just booked my airplane ticket from BKK to Samui one way cost was 2670 Baht total price for a midday flight end of February next year! I will only stay one week, I almost regret it now seeing your video I should have stayed longer!
If I were coming for 2 weeks holiday, I might just stay the whole time on Samui but divide it up with a week in Lamai and a week in Chewang or something like that. Just hard to find a better blend of beautiful tropical beaches, nightlife and holiday type relaxation all in one place.
@@Rides4Kickz That´s the way I used to do it in the past. I stayed 1 month in Lamai then went to Phuket for a month, and came back and stayed at Chaweng beach for 1 month. Back then late 90s early 00 it was still a cheap place to stay, a small bungalow on the beach for 100-150 baht a night was the norm. When the airport opened charter tourism and building constructions boomed and prices went up!
i just back from Samui to pattaya with bangkok Air 2300 THB one way but only 8AM flight at that price
already booked two more trips up to April 2023

no, flights are afternoon from Utapao so i took a flight from morning bangkok. Took a Mitsubishi Pajero Taxi to the airport vis Jack Motobike in soi bokahoo for 1200 Bht
in Samui i rented brand new click for 150 thb per day and stay at PTK residence in chaweng for 600 thb
The only place to eat for me is Central festival chaweng. you know that food as i have met you in pattaya central the same place that serve western food by weight.
since flight price can get crazy i always book months in advance. From samui airport and back to hotel i payed 100 bht for moto taxi.
And many Durian are selling now in samui but they are not good off season.

Are you talking about the AVANI +Samui Resort? There are more than one....or this one Avani Chaweng Samui Hotel & Beach Club.
Avani Cheweng. I brought up the booking site info on it. Looked like the same place.
Last Jan,I spent 4 months in pat's-i started to go bonkers.
Next time try the ship to Samui, stay the week maybe. Awesome change of scenery, and once you get there, you may just want to stay 🤣

I booked the seahorse ferry 2 days in advance, paid for a car 2 passengers and a cabin, 10000 bt and next day they called to say the sailing was canceled. Still waiting for a refund. Not holding my breath

Yes, I think the Seen is the beach club portion but the Hotel was same as I shown on Agoda.

Partially legalized for personal consumption at home, but the actual laws and regulations surrounding that are still being finalized in Parliament here, that should be sorted out soon and we will have more information.

After 17 years myself in Pattaya i am thinking of a change its becoming so unsafe with all the drugs shoot-outs at sauna clubs and all the other crimes its getting like the wild west. You can also see many of the bars in Pattaya closing with the greedy prices they are charging they are just cutting there own throats
I've been to Pattaya heaps of times and I've never felt unsafe but to be fair I stay on soi Diana and mainly drink around LK metro and tree town.
Go for a week in Samui. The thought of moving there did cross my mind several times.
