@@wombat12345 This was profound for me to read. Thank you so much. Posting that little comment on Eno's vid, and then in-turn posting my little song, led me to this comment, and others similar to it - a space of love and support, how magical. I'm so grateful.
You touched on so many points that feel so relevant to me. One particularly moving part for me, was when you mentioned that the waves eventually become less violent, less frequent - it's this part of grieving I suppose where I am. and that feels so...isolating. Because, I almost want those waves to continue in their ferocity, or even build. Like, I feel...shame maybe? Guilty? I can see the waves becoming less frequent, and my life continually normalizing, and it's sad. I feel sad for my dad, if he were witnessing my story, that he is less apart of it when those waves go away. I know the right way to look at this is that his love is now just imprinted more in my life in subtle and peaceful ways...But part of me wants to continue to feel like I just can't get up.
One day, I'd like to write down a pirate adventure, because that is what my dad and I would talk about to keep the mood light when he was really sick. In a way, this music that I am writing is completely born of our experience together with Cancer.

"Thursday Afternoon" has helped so many times, and I just discovered it like months ago or so. I lost my a in 1999 and hope we both get to see them again somewhere down the line. Only the best. This track is so amazing, one of the best ambiences I'vd come across. It embodies the peaceful tranquility of a boat in harbour or quiet inlet with such perfection. The instruments you've used remind me of Coraline, in a way that they encapsulate the type of feeling of being that is very hard to put into words. Really wonderful, in a mental image whether morning, or through to night, of some calm and serene scene, with a touch of the serendipity that being aboard a boat gives. Excitement, yet relaxed. Could listen all day.
