Olajuwon had 28 points on 14-23 shooting despite taking a nasty shot to the head midway through the first quarter. The hit left him dazed and unable to stand on his own but Hakeem returned late in the quarter with a vengeance as he had 18 points at halftime. Series tied 2-2. After the Suns took games 1 and 2 in Houston, Olajuwon responded by leading the Rockets to victories in games 3 and 4 in Phoenix. I havent dont too many Olajuwon highlights but more are on the way. This is part 1 of my celebration of uploading for 2 years. I will continue to upload classic highlights especially of Karl Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon. - กีฬา
Hakeem was dangerously skilled.. he had the quickness of a guard but is a 7 footer
Hakeem is the best I ever seen. Saw little of Jabbar so I go with Olajuwon. Could shoot from everywhere (Shaq couldnt), could defend, pass, run offense, fast, skilled. Unique. What he did in 95, man. And he should have been MVP in 93 with a less talent team (opposite Barkley with a good squad).
He was all time great defender on top of everything else he did great.
Rodman who also had Robinson alongside him struggled to slow him down the following year, on the other hand Rodman was very effective at throwing Shaq and Alonzo Mourning off their game.
Honestly, no bullshit, until now, is there any doubt that Hakeem Olajuwon is the Best Center in NBA history???
Best center of all time.
that was a dirty play from cabalas on hakeem.
Best center ever.
They call him the dream, but he was a nightmare for most teams and coaches lol.
4:56 Nice dunk on Barkley
The quickness baby
1:20 Inadvertent my ass. He goes up for a rebound and yet swings his right arm downward. He might not have intended to hit Dream in the face, but he was definitely trying to make contact.
he would have done this to chamberlain and russell if they ever played...
I was an 80s kid.
PG Magic
SG MJ
SF Bird
PF Barkley
C Olajuwon
Goat....
this is very beautiful video
Best of the best!
LOL @ the uploaders name - priceless!
I miss hakeem !!
This is why I knew Dwight Howard wouldn't have much success learning from Hakeem. He can't even make a simple hook shot.
Hook shot is actually one of the most difficult shots to score consistently with.
not f you practice it
Not if your 7 feet fucking tall and actually give a shit.
did hakeem get a concussion from the ceballos hit? it looks like it, from the way he kind of stumbles when he gets up
Great upload. Do you have any more Hakeem games?
this is the game that Kevin Johnson posterizes Hakeem
Really? Sure it was a playoff game?
Sandusky, why did I own you here? Good boy
@stacksondeck34 I've got more Olajuwon...keep checkin back
no doubt.
what happened to Maxwell during the 95 championship season. He was not visible at all in rocket's 95 championship season .
He left the team after a bust up because clyde was taking his minutes. Earlier in the season he got in a scandal when he ran into the stands and punched a fan. He imploded
The final straw was when he was given the opportunity as a role player off the bench to hit a game winner, when that was his role as the starter.
@TheShytownCubs All Kareem had was the Skyhook which contrary to popular belief has been blocked before. No 2 shots from Hakeem were the same so he's more unpredictable and unstoppable. Kareem's obviously an awesome C but I go with Hakeem
The last minute of this would give Hakeem a life sentence for murdering Barkley's career in the modern NBA.
LOL I was thinkin the same thing
uh oh, someone mentioned shaq. youre freaking out again. LOL!!!
what are you guys...12? I deleted all your ridiculous comments. Discuss Hakeem and Shaq like adults.
i dont blame you bro, this guy is nuts. stalking me to my friends' pages and all over the place, posting about his man crush for kobe bryant. i will keep my posts on the topic of basketball. i cannot say the same for mikenuts.....lol
007denzel, The Rockets got tired of putting up with Maxwell and his drug problems, behavior problems, attitude problems, etc... it finally became too much so he was out. It happened toward the end of the '95 season (before the playoffs). He was a key part of the '94 championship team, but obviously it didn't hurt that much to lose him.
***** They would've need him and Thorpe against Seattle, after those 2 were traded Seattle was a bad matchup for them until they got Barkley.
With Mad Max gone, the Rockets had no one to guard Jordan.
@@ChrisM07 actually only Thorpe was traded. Mad Max played 1 game in the 95 playoffs(Game 1 in Utah), and he took/was given a leave of absence for the remainder of the playoffs. He was gone soon after.
@@JustLikeHeaven77 Mario Elie was a very good defender too
@@ChrisM07
Not against 2 guards. He was above average. Against SF, he was great.
im tired of barkley saying he had no help when the suns needed him the most he choked
@57gameboy ... they were, before David Stern killed them.
Hakeem got dunked on quite a few times but that's what happens when u defend against anyone and everyone that drives to the paint. Anyone that knows anything about basketball knows that. That said, if Im picking an all time team, my first pick is Hakeem Olajuwon. My second pick? I have to make sure Hakeem Olajuwon was my first pick. Who gives a fuck about the second pick.
Once.....lol. And that was from opposite sides of the rim, impossible to block. He tries to get everything tho.
one could you r right they r both great, but my gut tells me kareem i mean no one dominated the game in his era like kareem, but god hakeem was so fucking good
Kareem missed the playoffs twice in his prime
i am sorry
The energy he expelled while starving himself to death due to his religion, crazy. You can see why he didn't age as well as Kareem and Duncan. Hakeem could never play the old man slow-motion style game those guys did.
They both were fortunate to have younger prime all star HOF talent come along as they got well into their 30s.
Not to mention in Tim's case.....he and SA ushered in this awful "load management" that has made basketball less watchable. Hakeem never played on teams where he could've afforded to sit out games or play limited/reduced minutes.
Kareem fasted too, didn’t he?
don't make post players like Hakeem anymore
he was a power forward and the best center ever is kareem of russell
You don't know what you're talking about
No shame for Sir Charles. Hakeem imposed disciplime on enough big men.
yes the comments are here, you see them and are furious. please try to calm down sandusky as anger at your age is not healthy. take your meds k? lol i said k
ur right my bad he is a center, but kareem is better
shaq is fatter* you mean...
Yes I won lol!!!
@TheShytownCubs Sir... Go back to watching baseball. :)
bferg and mike I will continue to delete your brain idiotic spam off this video if you continue to post them. I am giving you a chance to clean up the chatter.
shaq is better
