    Started BJJ here in Amsterdam at Carlson Gracie in June 2019. This video has helped me so much. That "deep as f*ck" collar grip gives people so much trouble. Haueter, one of the "dirty dozen" is a national treasure. Thank you Myra Fukuno for the upload .

      @@veilofreality - yeah unfortunately the last seminar tickets I could find were from a past event in April of 2019.
      This bummed me out too.
      I'll have to keep looking for opportunities on another event.

    Rickson is a very good Gracie Jiu-Jitsu teacher as well as a master of the style of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu with the fundamentals and Chris is extremely passionate about expressing his style of teaching the fundamentals I see.

    Very interesting. Danaher wrote that taking back from closed guard is the ultimate goal (which opens other possibilities). Haueter makes you work to keep him down in closed guard to open options. What ever works for you :-)

    I just started Jiu-Jitsu a month ago.. intense! I have 4 years previously martial art experience in Tae Kwon do with a Black Belt then but doe not compare to the intensity of Jiu Jitsu

    Alot of good information. I do think that the teaching style suits the american crowd better than the Europeans. Its alot of screaming, and a continous effort in trying to entertain like a stand up show.

      It was a very large venue. Open layout with a lot of other stuff going on in the gym, and there were a lot of people in the seminar. His voice was at a volume that was appropriate for the space and environment, which would probably not be nearly as effective otherwise. As for his sense of humor... well, that's just Chris. :)

    Unfortunately I don't Agree with Professor Haueter about Guard in Jiujitsu ; GJJ guys should pull guard @ any opportunity during sparring and should be encouraged to do so ,this is Butter and Bread in Jiujitsu against stronger and heavier opponent .
